Your eyes lock with his, swallowing hard. You could only guess that the people next to him were your parents. "M... mom?" you whisper, voice tight and inaudible. "Dad?"
Jihyun shoots you an apologetic look, lips pursed together. "The latter it is, then!" Mister claps his hands, circling around Jihyun. "Has Jimin ever mentioned about lost memories, y/n?" his tone was lighter than ever, mirth laced through his words.
Hesitating, you nodded. "Remember how your parents had walked out on you and Jihyun?" he reminds you, the stinging pain in your heart pumped through your entire body. Just who was he? How did he know so much about our family?
"You were dying. Seems like your house was a ghost attraction. Since you were fond of the dark at the age of ten, evil spirits would hide in there. And one entered your body. Your parents were well informed about it by a shaman and that shaman happened to be my right-hand man."
"He led them here, and in exchange, I got their souls."
His words stunned you. They... gave away their souls? For me? Your parents had their heads lowered, therefore you were unable to confirm this with them. "They had come up with their terms and conditions. It wasn't that hard to handle, all they wanted was for you to live with humans. They wanted you to forget about them, except for the time they walked out on you."
Mister's voice thumped in your head, louder than ever. They what? The tears that had welled up in your eyes started to fall, like a thread that was being thrown from a cliff. It was because of you. Everything here was because of you.
Taehyung and Jimin died, to avenge you. Hoseok, Namjoon, and Yoongi died to avenge you. You were the one Mister was seeking. Yet, because of you, Jin had to die, and Jungkook was about to die. Because of you, your parents weren't able to live their life to the fullest.

Jimin locked eyes with you, the gaze he held was soft and filled with pity. And you didn't need that. He held your gaze, however. In his eyes were unspoken words. In his eyes were words of comfort. You would've said that it was enough to heal your broken heart, but it wasn't. Every time you look into his eyes, a sense of comfort and safety washes over you.
But it was too overwhelming this time, to be able to feel the same. All you could feel was numbness and pain. Despite the feud between you and Jimin, all you wanted to do was to lie on his lap and let him cradle you. You wanted to be told that this was going to be okay. You wanted to know that it was going to be okay. But it wasn't.
"Now that the cat's out of the bag, let's carry on. First off, Sunny needs to return to your homeland." Mister waves his walking stick in the air, muttering black magic under his breath. With a poof, Sunny was reluctantly sent back to her homeland.
"Now, now. I'm not that cruel if you've known me long enough. You have thirty minutes to say your last words." Mister pulls Namjoon off the claws of his pet and sits him down. "You can untie your friends if you'd like. However, try to run and you'll be banished before you can say your last words. I'll be off, right by the door." with a wave of his hands, Mister disappears.
Scurrying around the room, Namjoon unties Jungkook's hands and helps the others. Thereafter, he brings the members elsewhere, leaving your family with you. "Y/n," your father starts, solemness flowed with his tone. "We're sorry. We didn't know how long more could we delay it. We shouldn't have left you at such a young age, I'm sorry."

"Let's not play this game of sorry's. I'm the one at fault, I shouldn't have stayed in the dark. It's alright, really. It's okay. Thank you, for sacrificing your life for me. I... I'm just glad that I'm able to meet you one last time," with a grateful smile on your face, you engulfed them into a hug.
"Go on, you and that Jimin dude have unsettled things to settle," Jihyun nudges you towards them, winking as you made your way to your second family.
The one whom you've shared an ill-fated destiny with. Namjoon welcomes you into the group with a small smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. They were all mourning over Jin, reddened eyes and rosy noses. Jungkook had the worst of it all, eyes bloodshot, tears seeping from his cheeks. And you couldn't help but blame yourself.
Everything was silent for a moment before you started. "I'm sorry," you whispered an apology, voice cracking as you did so. "It's not your fault," Taehyung places an arm on your shoulder, but everyone knew otherwise. Everything here led back to one thing - you.
Hoseok pulled you in for a hug, chin pressed against your skull. "I was so afraid. I thought I wouldn't be able to see you again. I know, it was a different time, but you're the same to me." he pulls you away from his chest, cupping your cheeks. "Despite all this, I'm happy to have met you. Thank you so much, y/n." Hoseok lets you off, squeezing your hand one last time.
Your lips quivered as you turned away, nose scrunching as a sour feeling enveloped you. Then, Taehyung pressed a finger under your chin, locking foreheads with you, forcing you to look into his eyes. "I'm glad too. Because of this, we got to meet. Even if I were to perish, I won't regret anything. I got to meet you. I got to hug you. And I was able to do this."
He pulls his head away, arms snaking around your torso as he leans into your ear, whispering eight letters. "I love you, as a sister. Even if you were my Kim Y/n, Kang y/n is totally fine by me." Taehyung rests his chin by your shoulder, swinging your bodies.
He lets go a minute after, hands placed on your shoulder. With a gentle push, he brings you towards Jimin, who had bloodshot eyes and a tear-stained face. Double-checking for permission, Jimin holds out a hand.
