violet ;
Namjoon ties the handkerchief around Taehyung's eyes, covering them completely. A glimpse of violet seeped through the blindfold before it's completely covered. There was something special about Taehyung's eyes. Those violet orbs held the world. It held purity, regret, anger, pain. And you could guess where it was directed to.
"Let's get going," Jin hurries, pulling you to walk ahead of the boys. The rest of them strolled down the hallway, making sure that the golden walls would not be in Taehyung's sight.
Jin opens his mouth, but you stopped him before he could utter a sentence. "If it's about... Jimin. If it's about him, I don't want to hear it." even saying his name was torture for you. "Hear me out." he ignores you anyway.
You knew there was no getting out of this.
Grunting in annoyance, you allowed him to continue. You wouldn't have won if you had stood your ground, anyway. "Listen, y/n. I don't know what questions had been running in your mind, but as far as I know, ladies like to overthink." the male's got a point. "To the extent that they over exaggerate things. They keep thinking to the point they're making up stories. I don't know if it's the same for you, but if you do, you're making this more complicated."
"Overthinking isn't necessarily a bad thing, but you should not let it get to you. Now, let me shower you with facts. First of all, I'm worldwide handsome. Now bow to me, peasant." Jin lets out a hushed laugh, lightening up the mood. He waves his hand in the air. "I'm kidding."
"As the more matured one, there are things that I tend to notice. Look, y/n. Before you arrived, it was just us. It was boring. We were whole but felt incomplete. Jimin was the silent one in our group. He has never smiled at us, y/n. Despite the silver in his eyes, whenever I looked into them, it was like I was looking into a black hole. It was empty, cold, and dark. He'd space out often. No one has ever, I mean ever, heard his story."

"A few of our stories had been thrown around in our little group, promises made to keep them to ourselves only. All of us had been vocal about our issues, giving the littlest of clues about what had happened in our past. Jimin tuned in, but he never spoke about his story. All he did when we had our out-days was to either kick pebbles or zone out. None of us had questioned him as Taehyung had forbidden us to do so. The only time I've seen him smile was when he was with you. I've never seen him so bright, y/n. The first time he ever spoke to us, opened up, was when we were approaching downtown."
"He shocked us all by speaking out of the blue. Only Taehyung remained unaffected. 'I'll get us out,' he said, eyes glazed, faraway. 'We're not staying in that hellhole. We're getting revenge,' he muttered, continuing the walk, leaving us behind. And the next time he talked was probably when he met you." Jin stops, inhaling air particles as he turns to look at you.
"Probably because I resembled Kim Y/n," you mutter under your breath, hoping Jin wouldn't hear you.
You didn't need another hour-long lecture from your non-biological mother.
Sadly, the male heard every word. "Y/n, you don't get it, do you? He loves you for you. He-" Jin's voice gets cut off with a loud wham and a screeching voice blasts in the air, cutting the silence. Instantly, you turned your head to check. Jin was out cold on the floor.
Everything was happening too fast, you could barely see the figures speeding past you. Two hands grab onto your arms, pulling you into a chest. You held, trying to squirm out of the intruder's hold.

"It's me."
The voice sent shudders down your spine, freezing you almost immediately. "Stand behind," Jimin instructs, pushing you behind his outstretched arm. You were now facing the back, where the rest of the boys were or had been.
One by one, they were being knocked down. The speeding figures were running at the speed of light, using some sort of bat to bash into their heads. Taehyung went down second, piling on top of Jungkook's unconscious body. Slowly, but surely, their bodies were moved out of the room.
Yoongi tried to fight, snarling at the figurines. His pearly whites flashed under the light as he tried to move around, eyes focusing on one of the figures. However, another figure knocks him down. They were like shadows, black figurines moving at the speed of light, attacking from behind.
Jimin intertwines his hands with yours, gaze shifting around.
You had been too busy observing the others that the fact that you had a whole group of shadows circling you had slipped your mind. Another thump was heard, and you could only assume that it was Hoseok's body. You were now back to back with Jimin, his fingers laced with yours.
He loves you for you.
Jin's voice echoes in your head. You shake it off, attempting to focus on the situation before you. You weren't going to shake Jimin's hand off. Not right now. Not when it could be a distraction for the both of you and a chance for the shadows. As they closed in on you, you took note of their features.
They were pure black. They had no facial features, no personalized body shape. Just a normal human's body shape. You couldn't tell if they were grinning or not. Their faces were empty. Just a huge hole of black.
"What do you want?" Jimin's voice was rough, like the hot dry sand on beaches that you step on. His grip on you tightens as one of them steps forward. Your eyes focused on the one before you. It seemed like it wanted to devour you.
"Mister wishes to see you."
And with that, they ran. They ran at you at the speed of light, knocking you out cold. A realisation hits you hard as thoughts pop up in your head just before darkness engulfed you whole.
What if Jimin knew that we wouldn't make it? What if he had just wanted to reassure me, to let me know that everything was fine as long as he was there?
What if you were just overthinking as Jin had mentioned?
Or was Jimin only keeping his promise?
