forgive or to not forgive ;

Y/n?

You didn't answer him. Parents? Our parents?

They're here? You inquire, ignoring his call.

Yeah. They are. I'll leave, for now, okay? You should think it through, y/n. I'll see you soon.

And with that, your brother left your mind.

You couldn't process it all. Fiddling with the ring on your necklace, you started to get lost in your train of thoughts. You didn't even know that you had begun playing with the object, an old habit of yours that you did when you were nervous.

The three important points you had marked out was painted across your head. One, you were Jimin's past lover. Two, Taehyung was your past brother. Three, your parents were here. Your deceased parents. And so was your brother. The parents that had abandoned both you and Jihyun. The parents that had whispered, "We'll be back soon." which was a lie.

You've never seen them the minute they had stepped out of the house since that day.

Rubbing your temple, you leaned back onto the wall, the silky golden cooling the back of your head. Blood rushed to your brain, replenishing it with the cells that were lost as you were thinking through everything. It was just way too hard to absorb it in.

The numb feeling in your chest jabbed at you, reminding you that you had a little more processing to go through. You made a little mental note in your head, trying to clear out the fog that had masked up everything in your mind.

1. The only issue you had with Taehyung was how to act around him.

2. You wanted to know why did your parents abandon you.

3. You needed to meet up with Jihyun.

4. Jimin. Jimin himself was a whole issue. The biggest issue you've ever had. The biggest issue that had popped up in your house, most likely with an agenda in mind.

You had so many questions for the ghost. Why did he approach you? Because you were Kim Y/n's reincarnation? Because he wanted you to meet Taehyung? What were you in his eyes? Someone to replace his past lover? Kang Y/n? Did he mean it when he told you that he needed you? That he would protect you? Or was it all because you were in Kim Y/n's body? Was this all just a game to him?

Were you supposed to forgive him? Was it your forgiveness that he was seeking? You didn't know. You didn't want to know anymore. It was frustrating, hurtful. It broke you. And that's all you knew.

Covering your face with your palms, you exhaled deeply. The fog in your mind has finally cleared, and you've made your decision. Gathering the courage that had seeped out of your body, you made your way to the gate, where the other seven phantoms were waiting.

Opening the door, you were met with seven pairs of eyes on you. Stumbling into each other, they tried to move back, as if they hadn't been oh-so secretly eavesdropping on you. "I'm not a speaker," you announced, lips pursing slightly as you eyed them all.

Mutters of sorry's were spread around before Jimin spoke up. It had been a while since you had heard Jimin speak. His raspy yet soft voice startled you a little at that reason, but you didn't slip up.

"Y-Y/n? H-have you th-thought it through? Wh-what's going to become of us? I know I made a mistake. An unforgivable one. But please, allow me to earn back your trust." Jimin stutters, tongue-twisting as he rapped those words out. Then again, this was new to you.

The Jimin you knew was confident.

Or the Jimin you thought you knew.

"I don't know, Jimin. You can try," you answered, cutting it short. You didn't want to speak to him at all. Not to the one who had broke you. All these years spent alone, without anyone, you had learned that you can only rely on yourself. Others only care about themselves.

They'll come to you only when they need you. They'll talk to you when they're bored. It's never about you. When you need something, magically they were all busy. You had learned to control your emotions or so you thought.

The moment you had met Jimin was the moment you went haywire. Control had vanished from your vocabulary. Everything you had tried so hard to keep came tumbling out. It was as if he had known you inside out. Maybe he did.

"Okay!" Yoongi claps his hands, inhaling and exhaling loudly. "Shall we visit Mister?" he suggests. Hoseok grins in reply, "Time to get out of this hellhole." the redhead fist bumped Jungkook, who gave a curt nod.

"All in!" Jin hollers, placing his hand in the air, holding it out. Jungkook went next, piling his hand on top of Jin's. Next went Hoseok, Namjoon, and Yoongi. Taehyung and Jimin had their hands to themselves and so did you.

"Y/n, why don't you go first?" Taehyung whispers, breaking the awkward tension building in the air. Head nodding subtly, you placed your hands on top of Yoongi's, and Taehyung's hand followed suit. Jimin's hand was above all.

"Bangtan?" Jungkook questions and Hoseok follows after.

"Bangtan!"

Jimin pushes all the hands down, then all hands went up with a loud cheer.

"You're part of us now." Taehyung smiles, a box liked smile spreading across his lips. Lips curling up, your lips formed a small smile. He walks over to you and pats your head tenderly. You could feel the brotherly love radiating around him.

And you knew, Kim Y/n would've led a wonderful life if not for the Queen.

"Taehyung, grab this." Namjoon hands the boy a handkerchief, pressing it into the palms of his hands.

"Let's get out of here."
