"So, you killed me? Why?" you stumble upon your words. You were speechless. This whole time, the girl you envied was yourself. The past you. This whole time, you thought wrong. So indeed, Jimin approached you with an agenda. "Hold on, are your story and Taehyung's story the same then?"

You were confused. And utterly betrayed. A stinging sensation made its way to your chest, constantly buzzing around. "Our stories are combined, yes. We were best friends. Brothers. We were the undefeatable trio, y/n. Jimin didn't have the time to process it all. I, too, was mad when I witnessed it all. Just, listen to his explanation okay? You said you would." Taehyung takes charge of the situation.

"There's more to the story. I'll continue, once Jimin's done explaining himself." he finished.

Plastering a stone-cold mask on your face, you turned your attention onto Jimin. You felt hurt. It was unbelievable. Turns out, not only did he know that you were part of his past life, he also killed you. The fun, caring Jimin had disappeared from your sight. All you could feel, or see, was the Jimin who had killed you. The past you.

"Mother told me that she had wanted to remove you from my life. She said that many times, and I refused to do anything about it. However, she threatened to execute your family members, your kingdom, and leave you alive. To suffer. I didn't want that, y/n. Neither would you. Although your family had little arguments about small issues, you loved them to bits. You made me promise you to take care of your family if you were gone."

A bitter tone filled his voice as he named his mother.

"That day, she announced that I had to take action. She wanted me to kill. Otherwise, she'd take it into her own hands. I know, it's not an excuse. But I had too little time to absorb it. I couldn't bear to see you. I dragged it out, panic taking over me. I couldn't think straight," he paused, sniffing loudly.

You didn't notice that your gaze shifted from him. You looked back up, only to meet with his bloodshot eyes that were filled with remorse, regret. "So I did as I was told to. These few years, decades, I gave it some thought. And honestly, I wished that I could've sorted it out with you."

"I'm sorry, I really am."

Jimin gulps hard, watery eyes locking with your empty ones. You had no idea what to say. How could you forgive him just like that?

"T-Then," you stutter, failing to realise how much of an impact this had on you. You wanted to get over it. To go home, to leave this hellhole. "During the times we had fun, when we fooled around, when you saved me. W-were you thinking of her? Or were these moments directed to me, the present me."

You had to know what his answer was. You wanted an answer. This whole... weeks? Months? Had been nothing but a pain. Every time memories of you and Jimin flashed in your head, your whole body would go numb.

Jimin stayed quiet, gaze dropping to the ground.

You had your answer.

Everyone was eerily quiet. Harshly, you wiped away your tears. "Please continue, and make it fast, Taehyung. I really, really, just want to go home." your lips quiver at your statement, knowing that that wasn't true at all. Going home meant reliving those memories.

The times you threw eggs into his mouth, raised a rolling pin at him, threw country erasers at him. Those memories would haunt you. Silently, you made your self a promise to sell your house and move into another. That was how desperate you were to get rid of the ghost who has been haunting you.

The ghost, with whom you fell in love with.

The ghost, who broke your heart.

The ghost... who killed you.

Silently, Taehyung nods, finishing up the rest of the story.

"PARK JIMIN!"

Jimin staggers up, carrying y/n in his arms with tears in his eyes and blood on his hands. The blood of his lover. His soon to be wife. What did he do? His eyes lock with a running figure, the male dressed in torn and tattered clothes. Sobbing loudly, he reaches Jimin and pulls his sister out of the male's hands.

Still stunned and traumatised, Jimin lets go of y/n. Swaying a little, Jimin's gaze shifts from the starry sky to y/n's unconscious figure. Another pang of guilt strikes him hard, like the guards who'd strike the gong to announce that the Queen has arrived. Why? Why did he do what he did?

Jimin falls onto the floor, tears washing his face. Screaming like an insane human being, no, scratch that. He was no human being. Jimin crawls back, back thudding onto the wall. His bloody hands shuffle up to his hair, pulling the locks his lover once ran her hands through. No, no, no. He cries, hard. She was gone.

His world was gone.

He didn't want to live anymore.

"Don't even try, Park. Don't try to run or kill yourself. I'm going to make you pay." Taehyung clenches his teeth, seething out in anger. His face had a mix of tears and blood, causing Jimin to roll up into a ball.

"I'm sorry."

Jimin whispers. Eyes staggering from right to left, hands trembling vigorously.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

A trail of apologies left his lips.

"I'M SORRY." he shrieks into the calm, midnight sky. He wanted her back. "Sorry isn't going to get you any-fucking-where." Taehyung hissed, caressing the sides of his sister's face. "Your mother told you to do it, didn't she?" his voice softens. Despite this whole scenario in front of his eyes, Taehyung didn't allow his fury to get past his facts.

A trait he owned.

"Make her pay, Jimin. I'll make all of you pay. Did y/n even tell you?" Taehyung's voice drifts off as if he has wandered into a different world. As if, he was gone along with her.

"Tell me what?" Jimin shivers slightly. It wasn't because of the wind, but because of the sight before him. He refused to look at her dead, bloody body. Her hand was spread out onto the floor as if it was asking for his. Her hand was inches away from his. Just then, Jimin remembers that she had wanted to say something earlier, but just brushed it off. Slowly, he pulls his chin up to look at Taehyung, who was looking at him with glazed-over eyes.
