《The Insemination》Chapter Thirty-Nine

"She hates me," Amelia cries as I look at the hole in the wall. Still shocked that Irina pushed me that hard, I smile at the strength the baby gave her.

"She doesn't hate you," Thomas assures her. Amelia starts to cry harder.

"Yes she does! Did you not see her face? She threw a plate at me for crying out loud!"

Shaking my head

from being annoyed at her crying I say, "She doesn't. She's just confused. Her whole life just got flipped upside down. She just found out that her best friend has been lying to her this whole time. Also, she just found out that people are trying to kill her and that I'm a werewolf as well as her baby. That's a lot to take in don't you think?" Turning to look at Amelia, she wipes her eyes.

"Yeah," she croaks. "That is a lot to take in. But, I want her to understand how sorry I am. I never wanted her to get hurt. It might've started out as me having to befriend her, but now I really do care for her."

Walking to Amelia, I lay my hand on her shoulder and look into her teary eyes. "She'll understand. Okay? She just needs some time to process everything."

"What the hell was that with Irina when she threw you?" Thomas asks placing a hand around Amelia's waist.

Sighing, I take my hand off of her shoulder and walk to the table. "She used the baby's strength. Which is also what healed her. The baby is stronger than I imagined," I smile from pride again.

"Will she be affected from anything after the baby is born?" Amelia asks with concern in her voice.

"No. Irina's a human as far as I can tell. So she should be just fine. Apparently the baby is compatible with her. If she just happens to get injured or really pissed, the baby will lend her it's power."

"But will that harm the baby?" Thomas asks.

"To be honest, I'm not sure. That'll be something I will have to ask when we go to her next appointment."

As Thomas opens his mouth to say something, Rick rushes through the kitchen. "Ezra!"

Hearing the alert in his voice, I becoming on guard. "Rick, what's wrong?"

"We spotted another rouge. He," Rick starts but then stops. He looks away and takes a deep breath. I notice the hesitation in my best friend and know that this has to be serious.

"Rick, what happen? Tell me," I demand.

"A woman was attacked. She resembled Irina. Ezra, they're attacking people that they think look like her! They want her dead. Desperately."

"What? She must not leave this house! Ever! Not until we deal with this situation!" I shout anxious to keep her and the baby safe. Finally realizing how quite it was up stairs, Amelia try's to say something but I hold my hand up to her.

"Excuse you?" She grunts with attitude.

"Shut up for a second. I can't hear Irina."

Her frustration leaves her face and she nods her head in agreement. Closing my eyes, I focus through the entire house to find her. Blocking out all of the talking, the alarm clocks blaring, the conversations, and the heartbeat of everyone, I hear nothing. My eyes open wide. Angry and worried, I look at Amelia. Grabbing her by her shoulders, I shake her.

"Where is she?" I shout. She looks at me confused. "I don't hear her anywhere in this house! Where is she? Are you trying to help her get away?"

"Hey man!" Thomas say trying to pry my arms off of Amelia's shoulders.

"I swear! I don't know what your talking about! If she's trying to make a run for it, it's not with me! But, maybe I can find out where she's going." Letting Amelia go, she closes her eyes and slowly breathes in and out. I see her eyes squint and then they open. "She went out of the window! She's running through the woods and almost the the road near here!"

"What?" Growling, I pick up the table and throw it in frustration. Rushing to the stairway, everyone is on my tail. Hurrying up the stairs and to her door, I punch it open. My eyes scan the messy room. The covers are on the floor, pillows scattered across the room, and the window open with a cloth tied around the vanity mirrors leg.

As everyone finally catches up, I hear gasp. "Where could she have gone?"

Walking to the window, I look at the roped together covers and sheets that had to have come from the closet since I put spare covers in there, and smile. She is very crafty.

"Rick, whoever is on patrol tell them to bring her back! I'm going to look for her as well, but we need everyone out there. Now!"

Rick immediately starts to move and Amelia just stands still. "I feel so useless," she says.

"Your not. Do you remember seeing her run pass anything in your vision? Think," I tell her.

She looks away and starts pacing. She walks over to the bed and touches the cover. Her body then becomes numb and her head turns to the sky and her eyes wide.

"Amelia!" Thomas shouts and rushes to her. He shakes her once and then she snaps out of it.

"She called Noah," she says looking away.

Scoffing, I shake my head in disbelief. He just couldn't stay away. I feel myself growing angrier and angrier by the second. Before I walk off, Amelia grabs my arm. I snap my head at her for holding me back. Her face is still turned away.

"If you have something else to say, tell me now or I will make you regret holding me back," I growl.

She looks at me and her face only holds one thing, pity. I notice tears building in her eyes. "She," starts to say but stops. She takes a deep breath and finally says, "She's going to get an abortion."

My heart stops as I manage to say, "What?"

Rushing out of the woods thick deep woods, I block the suns rays with my hand and look around for Noah. Remembering that people are out to kill me, I hide behind a big tree to my right. "Noah, where are you?" I say under my breath.

Spotting a black vehicle, I see Noah getting out of the car. Smiling, I look both ways before sprinting to him. "Noah!" I shout happy to see him.

"Irina, this is crazy. Are you sure you want to go through with this? What happen? Why do you want to get an abortion?"

Huffing, I bend down to catch my breath. "You wouldn't understand. I just can't keep it. I can't."

"As much as I would love nothing more than for you to have an abortion, you need to think this through."

After hearing Noah's words, I pause. Staring up straight, I eye him. "Why do you care?" I ask.

"Because this is a big deal," he says.

"A big deal for who? Ezra, or me?"

Noah starts to laugh. "Irina, what are you talking about? This has nothing to do with Ezra," he says.

Noah's eyes go wide as he notices my eyes. I feel a pain in my chest. "Your lying!"

"Damn it," he says under his breath but yet I still heard it because of the little distance between us. "Irina, I can explain," he starts.

My eyes go wide and I start to shake my head. Before Noah has the chance to say anything else, I knew him between his legs. He holds the area and falls to his knees. "Irina wait, don't kill your baby. It's innocent," he says while I walk over him and get in the drivers seat. Sitting on the leather seat, his words echo through my head.

"Before all of this happen I was innocent too." Closing the door, the keys are still in the ignition. Putting the car back in drive, I waste no time pulling off and leaving Noah on the ground.

Pulling out my phone, I hold the home button to make Siri pop up. "Abortion clinics near me," I say. "Here are the nearest abortion clinics," Siri replies.

Looking at the number listed below, I dial the number. Putting the phone on speakerphone, a woman answers. "Women's Health Clinic, how can I help you?"

My words get stuck in my throat. "Hello?" She asks.

"Y-yes," I stutter. I'd like to come in to have an abortion," I say.

"Okay, we have an opening right now if you'd like to come as a walk in," she says.

"That will be fine. I'm on my way now," I tell her.

"Can I get your name?"

"Irina Hathaway," I say feeling tears starting to gather in my eyes.

"And is this your first abortion?"

"Yes!" I sob.

"Okay, I will see you when you get here," she says. Hanging up the phone, tears start to pour from my eyes. Guilt hits me hard. This was my baby. Something that I've wanted for a long time. This baby is apart of me. My family. My only family. But, the baby's a werewolf. One day, the baby will turn into a wolf. Can I live with that for the rest of my life?

Turning left, I head in the direction of the clinic. "I know what I have to do," I say out loud. "I will make this right."

"I'm sorry Ezra, we can't find her. We can't even pick up on her scent."

"Get out," I growl. Sitting in my study, I burry my face in my hands.

"Ezra?" Rick asks.

"I said get out!"

Rick nods his head and leaves without saying anything else.

"I'm telling you, I tried to stop her," Noah says leaning against the wall. "I didn't want her to go through with it. It's been six hours now. Do you have any idea where she could be?"

"No," Amelia says shaking her head. "For some reason I can't see anything."

I grow tired of everyone talking and grunt. "Just go." Lifting up my head, before anyone had the chance to say anything, I hear a door closing in the distance. Sniffing the air, I smell Irina's scent. "She's here!" I say shocked. Using my werewolf speed, I rush downstairs faster than I ever have.

Startled, I jump from Ezra's quick movement.

"Where have you been?" Ezra asks pure anger in his voice.

Looking away, I take a deep breath. "I was going to have an abortion," I admit.

"You where going to do what?" he shouts causing me to jump a bit. I look at his face and see anger with hurt on it.

"I said I was going to, but I changed my mind," I rush to say. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have thought about doing anything so stupid."

As he runs a hand through his hair he picks a glass vase thats on a stand and throws it against the wall. Scared, I try to rush back out of the house and hurry to the door.

Once my hand is on the silver doorknob I pull it open only to have it closed. Turning around I meet his gaze. His normal blue eyes are now black with a hint of gold.

"I think I should go," I say barely as a whisper.

"Mine," he growls.

"Yes, I know it's yours but-," I say but he cuts me off again.

"Mine," he growls again.

Before I have the chance to ask him what he meant, he hovers over my body. Before I have the chance to move, I feel sharp teeth penetrate my skin. Kicking and screaming, I try to move out of his grasp.

Yelping out in pain, he finally takes his teeth out, and looks at me with his blue eyes. He looks at me in horror.

Feeling the warm liquid, blood continues to come out. I look at him with shocked and scared eyes. "What did you do to me?"
