《The Insemination》Chapter Thirty-Seven

Staring at the wolf that was in place of a man, I blink in disbelief. The wind seems to stop blowing as if time itself stopped. "This is impossible. Werewolves don't exist. They don't!"

The wolf slowly inches closer making me scoot back. Noticing my quick gesture, the wolf stops. "Stay away from me beast! Shoo!" I shout with the shooing hand motion. The wolf stares at me and nods its head. Taking steps backwards, the wolf sits down and watches me carefully. Slowly standing up, I look at the eyes of it and notice the eyes are black with a golden ring around them. Remembering when Ezra's eyes did the same thing, I think back to everything that could relate him to being a werewolf.

"Your a werewolf," I say completely standing up as if I could process it all. Stepping backwards, I hear a small snap from me stepping on a stick. Frightened by my own action, I run.

What have you done? Why would you get yourself into this?

Feeling the wind blow against my burning cheeks from crying before, I quicken my speed. Hearing a noise behind me, I look to see the wolf chasing me while snarling.

My eyes widen. Turning back forward, I run faster. Trying to get as far as I can from the wolf, I ignore my energy starting to drop. As my energy starts to run out, I huff, begging myself not to get tired. Cussing under my breath, I have no choice but to stop. Resting my hands on my knees, I try to catch my breath.

"Damn it," I huff.

Looking at the multi-color leaves scattered across the ground, I hear a rustling noise and snap up. "Irina, listen," Ezra immediately says coming from behind a tree to my far right. With nothing but his jeans on, he try's walking to me.

Looking down for the closes thing to me, I reach for a big stick. Holding it out at him, Ezra looks at me in amusement. "Will you stop that!" I shout annoyed.

"What?" He asks stepping towards me.

Taking a step back, I answer, "Always looking at me as if I just excite you or something? Do you think this is funny? Me watching you turn into Jacob?"

"Jacob?"

"From Twilight," I scoff not believing the fact that he doesn't know who that is.

He steps to me again making me take two steps back. "Irina please, just let me explain." He starts taking more steps. Reacting, I starts swinging the stick like a crazy lady.

"Stay back!"

"Please Irina! I would never hurt you," he says dodging.

I don't feel a pain in my chest. I stop swinging. "Then what do you want?"

"I just want you to calm down. You can ask me anything you want, or lock yourself in your room and hate me. Just come back to the house."

Eyeing Ezra, I realize my stomach was in pain. Hearing my stomach growl, I blush making Ezra smile. "See. Come on. Your hungry, which means the baby's hungry, which means you need to eat. So, can we go back to the house?"

Hearing my stomach growl again, I clutch it with my hand. "Okay, but I want my taser."

Ezra starts to laugh. "Your joking, right?"

"She knows!" I grunt again in frustration.

"What exactly did she say?" Thomas asks making me grunt again.

"How many times do I have to tell you?" I say resting my head against the passenger seat.

Stopping at a red light, Thomas turns to look at me. "Baby, what happened? Why did you panic saying we have to go see Irina?"

Sighing, I rub my hands across my face. Resting them in my lap, I look at him. "She woke up with not one single scratch on her. The baby had to have healed her. And if the baby healed her, that means Ezra had no choice but to tell her that he is a werewolf."

Thomas turns his attention back to the road as the light finally turns green. "But that doesn't mean she knows what you are."

"Have you forgotten what her ability is? She knew I know something! What do you think she's going to do when she finds out I became her friend because of who she was. Because I had to."

"Do you love her? Do you think of her as your sister?" Thomas asks turning a left with Ezra's mansion in sight. We've been driving for two hours straight and once I saw the mansion I knew there was no turning back now.

"You know I do. I just feel like after this, she won't," say truthfully.

"She will," Thomas says with a smile trying to reassure me.

That's what you think.

"Hey, I see the wheels turning in your head. It's going to be fine. You love her now, and that's all that matters."

Thinking of his words, I smile. "Your right. She'll understand." As we come closer to Ezra's home, I can feel my heart starting to sink to my stomach from fear.

My eyes widen to the table full of variety types of breakfast items. Sniffing the air, I smile, greatly pleased from the aroma. Searching the table from sausage, bacon, and sausage links to grits, eggs, pancakes, waffles, and biscuits to the beautiful arranged color fruit. Picking up a piece of bacon, I take a bite and savor it.

Seeing Ezra trying to take a step to me, I reach out my arm and hold the button. Making a loud zapping noise, Ezra stops and puts his hands up. "Can you please, put down the taser."

Taking another bite out of the bacon, I shake my head. "Nope. Is this turkey bacon?"

"I made turkey bacon and regular bacon for you. I've been cooking since this morning."

"You cooked this?" Walking around the table, I pick up multiple items of food and walk to the next item after devouring the other. I find myself walking in circles around the table constantly eating. Feeling eyes staring at me, I turn to see Ezra watching me with amusement.

I click the button to my taser again. "Stop that! Stop looking at me as if I amuse you. How many times do I have to say that?"

"But you do amuse me."

I ignore his response. "How long have you been a werewolf? Did you get bitten and turn into one like in the movies?" Stopping in front of the plate of pineapples, I smile greatly as I devour a few. Burping, I excuse myself. Ezra looks at me in shock. "Don't let me stop you. Keep going."

"I was born a werewolf."

"So you were born a puppy?"

Ezra raises his eyebrows. "No. I was born as a human."

"But your a werewolf correct?" I ask picking up a vine of grapes. Eating a few, I smile.

"Yes."

"Then a puppy. Do you have any orange juice? No apple juice! No wait water!" Not being able to make up my mind, Ezra walks to the very tall and wide silver refrigerator and grabs a bottle of water, a container of apple juice, and orange juice.

Placing them in an empty spot on the table, I look at Ezra, waiting for him to get out of the way. Catching my drift, he walks to the other side of the table. Watching him, I make my way to the drinks. Opening the bottle of water, I consume it in a matter of gulps. The water flushes through me, making me feel as if it's been forever since I've drunk anything.

Finally feeling full, I lean on the wall far from him. "Is Rick one? A werewolf that is."

"Yes."

"Who else?" I ask raising my right eyebrow. Walking back to the table, in grab the syrup and pour them over the waffles and pancakes. Using the fork and knife already placed beside the plate, I eat.

"Everyone in this house," Ezra says as if it was no problem. My eyes go wide.

"I can't live here! You put me in danger! You put my baby in danger! I can't believe I'm in a house with a pack of wolves!" I shout slamming the fork down.

"No one here would dare harm you! I am their alpha."

"I don't care if you were their liver! Ezra, I'm not living here."

"I need you close. Please. This is my first child. It's rare for this to happen this way," he try's telling me.

"I don't want to hear it from you!"

"If you won't hear it from me, maybe you will from her," he says. Confused, I was about to ask him what he meant, but before I did, Amelia walks into the kitchen.
