《The Insemination》Chapter Twenty-One

"He's in the bathroom," I say as I move aside so she can walk in. She waist no time doing so as she turns her nose up and snarls a bit.
"Can I get you anything Yuri?" I ask as she crosses her arms.
"You live here?" she asks looking around.
"Excuse me?" I say putting my hands on my hip. "Okay, what the hell are you doing here? How do you even know where I live?"
"Listen here," she says taking a step towards my face. "I see what you are doing. He is mine, and I've come to damn far," she growls. "He will never be yours."
Hearing her words, my body temperature rises as I feel a wash of anger course through me. Taking a step closer to her, I chuckle. "Excuse you?"
"You are having his baby and that is it. If money or anything is involved then we will take you to court. You shouldn't have even called him. If you think that the two of you will get together, think again!"
"What?" I say taking another step to her. "Are you kidding me? First off you growling bitch, I don't need a damn thing from either of you! And I let him know he had a child in the world because I wasn't thinking straight and because he will have a kid in this world and I thought he should know. Now, I want you to get your man and get the hell out of my house before I throw you out like a mutt!"
Feeling my chest rise up and fall, I hear the bathroom door open and close. Suddenly feeling an enormous craving, I look to the kitchen. Grunting, I walk to the kitchen to the cabinets. Opening the cabinets violently, I grunt louder as I don't see the sight of what I want. Feeling a sudden urge to sleep, I yawn as I do a small stretch and check the next cabinet.
"Where is it?" I shout.
"Yuri?" I hear Ezra asks in an angered tone as he walks into the living room. "What are you doing here?"
"I had to make sure you were okay. You scared me, and the others. And what are you doing here?" Yuri asks with a soft voice.
Opening the left cabinet door, I shout in joy as I see the brown bag that reads "Starbucks" and do a tiny dance. "Yes! I found you! I found you."
"Irina, what is that?" Ezra asks walking into the kitchen ignoring Yuri. He squints his eyes at me and frowns.

"Its none of your business. Now get out of my house."
"Give me the coffee," Ezra says slowly walking to me.
"You come any closer and I will drink a whole cup of coffee," I say holding the bag above my head.
"Irina give it here and give it to me now. You aren't suppose to drink coffee."
"I don't want to drink it!" I shout. Walking to the table, I lean against it and sigh. "I just want to inhale the smell of it."
"Is she serious?" Yuri asks walking to the table. "She doesn't look so good."
"Irina? Irina are you okay?" Ezra says walking to me.
"I want you to get out," I say rubbing my eyes. "I want you both to leave."
"She's sleepy," Yuri says scoffing.
"Yuri enough. Go wait in the car," I hear Ezra tell her. Yuri grunts a bit, but at the sound of her stomping and the door opening, I hear the door close and I assume she listened to him.
"She doesn't like me," I say trying to stand up. Feeling a bit woozy, I stumble a bit.
"Don't be so silly. I'm sure she likes you. Now, lets get you to bed," Ezra says walking to me. In one quick motion he lifts me into bridal style and holds me steady.
"Put me down," I slur out with a yawn. "Your mean."
"How am I mean?"
"You never tell me anything. Your in the mafia and your eyes are like mine. Your hiding so many things, and you just think I'm suppose to let you in our child's life," I say yawning again.
"I want to tell you. I do, but I can't," he says as I hear a light switch turn on. Quickly shutting my eyes from the harsh light, Ezra turns them back off. Feeling a pain in my chest, I tried to get out of his arms. "No. I will carry you."
Instead of fighting him on this, I allow him to take me to my bed and lay me out. Feeling him lean over, I feel my soft bed under me and smile. "Thank you."
"Your welcome. Now, get some rest," Ezra says putting my cover over me.
"Stay," I mumble out of nowhere and unware of my words.
"What?"
"I said stay."
"Why?"
"Because," I say but stop as I feel my heart beat quickening.
"Why? Why do you want me to stay?"

"Because I want to be around you for some reason. The creepy forming baby must like you a lot," I say yawning.
"The baby isn't creepy. It's a peanut, and you shouldn't say things you don't mean."
"But, I do mean it," I say feeling butterflies in my stomach. "I don't have the ability to lie."
"Do you always talk like this when you are sleepy?"
"About random things? Yes," I say yawing as I turn on my side. On the edge of sleep, I hear Ezra talking and smile as I like the sound of his voice.
"You are an extraordinary woman Irina," Ezra says as I hear his footsteps walking further away. "But, I can't talk to you like this."
"Okay," I whisper as I feel myself being pulled into the darkness of sleep.
"Goodnight Irina," Ezra says closing the door.
"Goodnight alpha."
My eyes widen as the word alpha runs off of her tongue. I freeze in my step and feel a lump in my throat as I look at her sleeping body. I open the door in a small movement as my hand never got the chance to let go of the doorknob.
Looking into the room, she doesn't move. "Irina?" I call out, but nothing.
Goodnight alpha.
Her words echo in my head as if her words came like second nature. I focus on her breathing and realize that she is in fact sleep. Then I listen for the small heartbeat and smile. My smile fades as I close her door and make my way into the hallway.
"I thought I told you to wait in the car," I say to Yuri as she is standing in front of the door.
"I got worried. Who knows who this woman is baby, she could even be a hunter like the ones who attacked you. When you took a while to come out, I panicked. And it seems like I had a good reason to be. I can tell when something is wrong with you. What is it?"
Grabbing Yuri's arm, I walk her out of the apartment as I lock the door and close it behind us. Looking right and left down the hallway, I pull Yuri close. "She called me 'alpha'," I say running a hand through my hair.
"She what? How does she know? Did you tell her?" Yuri starts to shout.
"Lower your voice. And you should know well enough that I wouldn't do something as idiotic as that. Besides, if I told her she would run far away and then I would never be able to see my child," I tell her in a calm voice.
"I'm sorry. If you didn't tell her, then how does she know? Who is she?" Yuri asks with concern in her voice.
"Find me everything you can on her. I need to know everything," I tell her as I walk off to the elevator with Yuri on my tail. I run my hands through my hair again as I growl in frustration.
Once we make our way outside the apartment complex, I make my way to the car knowing Yuri isn't far behind. "How is Jake?" I ask worried for my best friend.
"Jake is fine. He was able to get to the wolf before it had the chance to get Irina. What is going on Ezra? We never had rouges so close to town. And thank the moon they didn't know who Irina was," Yuri says getting into the driver side.
"I don't know. I was to busy trying to keep the hunters away from you all. Damn it. This is getting out of hand. We need to keep everything under control, and no one but the pack knows about Irian. If anyone knows about this baby, they will kill it and her. I cannot let that happen. This baby, is my everything."
Yuri stops the car before she has the chance to back out of the parking lot. "Yours?" she asks with a hint of hurt in her eyes. "What am I? Chopped liver?"
"No," I say turning to look at her. Taking her hand in mine, I sigh. "Baby, I didn't mean that. This baby will make our family whole. We are going to be a family, but you know how much this baby means to me," I say meaning every word.
"I do. Don't worry, we will all make sure that baby is safe, including Irina," Yuri says pulling my face up to her as I try to look away. She places her hands on my chin and slowly leans in as a small smile crosses her face.
"I love you," she whispers as her lips crash into mine.
Kissing her back, I part the kiss to say "I love you too. Now, let's get back to the pack house. It's time we get our hands dirty. We need to know just who the hell Irina Hathaway is."
