"Oh shit. Answer it," she says.

"No. I don't wanna," I confess.

"Give it here," Amelia says reaching for it.

"No."

"Give it."

"No," I say reaching the phone above my head.

Amelia reaches her hand out and twist my left boob. "Ouch!" I shout dropping the phone. As I drop it Amelia catches it and answers the phone. She holds it out to my ear and I can hear a man on the other line.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" he says.

"Hi," I say taking the phone. Rolling my eyes at Amelia, she sticks her tongue out at me.

"Did someone call this number?" he asks. His voice is deep and smooth, but seems to hold a form of power.

"Yes. You don't know me, but my name is Ms. Hathaway, and I have something urgent to discuss with you. I'm not sure how it will effect your life, but it is effecting mine."

The other end of the line is silent until I hear him clear his throat. "Okay. I'm free right now. Where do you want to meet?"

"Where do I want to meet?" I repeat looking to Amelia.

"Umm, the Starbucks by school," Amelia whispers.

"There is a Starbucks around 2nd Avenue by the Culinary Arts school. Can you meet me there by in twenty minutes?"

"Yes. How will I know it's you? What do you look like Mrs. Hathaway?"

I frown at being called Mrs., when I'm not married. "I will be wearing a white scarf."

Let's just pray that no one else is.

"Okay," he says hanging up.

Bringing the phone down from my ear, I let out a breath I didn't know I had pint up.

"What did he say?" Amelia asks looking at me with a half smile.

"He said he will meet me," I say grabbing my white scarf out of my purse.

"Well," Amelia says cranking up her jeep. "At least you have something to do now."

Sitting in the left corner in the Starbucks by the school, I wrap my hands around the white hot chocolate cup, and sigh. Sipping from the cup, I smile as the hot liquid runs through my body and settles in my stomach. Reaching my hand down to my stomach, I smile and drink from the cup again. I look at the black coffee sitting across from me wondering if the sperm donor will show.

I look out the window and see a tree that is big in the size of its trunk and the branches. The branches are stretching far and wide as they are decorated with leaves with the colors or red, yellow, orange, a few green, and a pinch of brown. I smile at the tree as the colors of the leaves bring a warmness to me, even as the wind blows them off of the thick and thin branches. I just love fall.

I do hope you will love the seasons as I do little one.

"Mrs. Hathaway?" a deep voice asks as they approach behind me.

Placing my cup down, I turn around to greet the sperm donor. Standing from my chair, I turn around and extend my hand.

"Mr. Collins," I say. As I turn fully around, I freeze at the face of the man. Feeling my heart beat rise, I blink numerous times as if the face of the person would change. But it doesn't.

"E-Ezra?" I ask not letting the shock leave my voice.

"Irina?" he asks with shock of his own. "So your Mrs. Hathaway."

"Um. It's Ms. Hathaway. I'm not married," I say still stunned.

"My apologies," he smiles. His smile soon fades as he drops my hand. "Now. Why did you call me down here? You sounded pretty shaken up."

"Oh yes, yes. Please sit. I um bought you a glass of hot black coffee. I hope you don't mind," I say shaking my head. Doing my best not to scream out from panic that he is the sperm donor, I clear my throat.

He takes a seat across from me and crosses his hand in his lap. He has his long hair in a pony tail straight to the back, as he is wearing a light blue suit with a black tie and black shoes. Taking in a deep breath, he smells of apples and cinnamon.

"Now, the reason you called me down here?" he asks with his right eyebrow raised.

Feeling my hands turning sweaty, I rub them against each other. How do I say this to him? I'm expecting? I have a peanut inside of me? I'm with child?

"Umm," I say trying to smile.

"Irina?"

"Umm, I'm pregnant," I finally say.

Looking up in his eyes, I see confusion. "Umm. I don't think we ever. I don't think I ever been that drunk to forget a face. I know you work at that sushi place. Did we ever?" he asks looking at me in confusion.

"No!" I blurt. "No, we didn't. I umm. I was artificially inseminated. I recently found out I was pregnant and wanted to tell the sperm donor. Well I didn't want to tell the sperm donor honestly. My best friend talked me into doing it. You just do happen to be the sperm donor," I say looking in his eyes.

"No," he says as his face constructs in confusion and anger.

"Umm. I'm sorry. I just wanted to tell you that. I'm not even sure why I went through with it. It's like a pull of some kind," I say trying to laugh. Which is honestly true, recently, I've been feeling a pull to this as if I need to see him.

"Your lying."

"I have no reason to lie to a complete stranger," I say standing from the table. "You know what, this was a bad idea. I should or shouldn't have told you. I'm not sure. Look, you don't have to believe me, but I am pregnant and it just so happen to be your sperm."

Standing up from the table, I turn to look at him and see anger and shock on his face. "Look," I start to say but stop when his eyes focus on my stomach. As his eyes settles on my stomach, he inhales, and then exhales. Seeing his eyes flash a shade darker, I flinch and scream as I hear glass shattering.

Looking at Ezra, I see that the black coffee mug I ordered for him, is now dripping across the table and onto the floor with glass shattered all over the. Ezra looks at me and before he is able to say anything, I do a small wave and start to run for the door.

"Irina," Ezra calls after me.

"Why do you always get yourself in some kind of shit Irina?" I say to myself.

Pushing the Starbucks door open, I rush to the side of the rode and smile as I see a taxi. Whistling, the taxi stops, and I waste no time getting in.

"Irina wait," he calls again.

"Drive," I tell the taxi driver.

"But don't you want to wait on your friend ma'am?" the elderly man says.

"He is no friend of mine. Now step on it!" Hearing the tires screech, I turn around to see Ezra standing on the curve while on the phone. Turning back around, I release a breath I didn't know I was holding. And for the second time, I pray I don't see Ezra ever again.

Marching into Amelia's house, I see Thomas and Amelia on the couch laughing as he is rubbing her feet. I smile at the view before me. True love. That is what they have. That is what I some day wish to have.

"Oh Nina," Thomas says looing at me. "Amelia filled me in on everything? Congratulations at being pregnant. I'm so ready to teach him how to play basketball. But how did it go?"

I smile at Thomas and lean against the door. "Amelia, do you remember the guy that I told you saved me from Jason?"

"Yeah," Amelia says sitting up some.

"He is the sperm donor."

"No fucking way," Amelia says as her jaws drop. "Wow. That is some fate of the world type of shit."

"But I think meeting him was a mistake," I say starting to pace the room. "When I told him I was pregnant he got upset and smashed a cup with his hands. His bare hands! And his eyes did some weird glow thingy."

"But your eyes do a weird glow thingy."

"That's not the point Amelia. I have always been the only one to do that."

"Well you can't be the only one who was born special now. Don't you agree?" she asks with a soft voice.

"Yes. I just never found someone with a strange ability like me," I say stopping my pacing.

"So, when do I meet him?" Amelia asks.

"There is no meeting him. I told him I was pregnant and he has a child being born into the world. Nothing more to tell him. And he was so angry, I don't even think he will come around again," I tell her with a smile. "Which means I can focus on my baby. Starting now, I am moving back home."

Amelia and Thomas eyes both go wide.

"What?" Thomas says being the first to speak. "Why? Are you sure? I mean a week ago you looked like someone chewed you up and spit you out."

"Gee, thanks Thomas," I say sarcastically.

"I'm just saying. What if you see Jason again? What if your baby daddy or anyone isn't there to protect you? Irina, you were so shaken up this time, Amelia didn't know what to do," Thomas says with worry and concern in his voice.

"I will think about that when the day comes that I see him again. As for now, I'm going back home. I can't hide out here forever," I say hanging my head low.

''Hey," Amelia says standing. She walks to me and embraces me in a hug. "We will always be here for you and we don't mind you mooching off of us as long as you like. But, if this is what you want, then so be it. Come on baby lets go pack her bags," Amelia says releasing the hug.

"I can help too," I smile.

"Umm, no you can't," Thomas says with a frown.

"Why not?" I ask crossing my arms.

"Cause," Amelia says plucking my nose. "Your pregnant. You can't put pressure on your body. You need to start remembering that. Do some research as well. It's time to get in momma bear mode."

"I can still do just about enough until I get bigger, but fine," I laugh. "After you two are done, I will allow you to take me home and carry the bags in."

"Hey nobody said anything about having a maid," Thomas yells from the room I was sleeping in.

"I'm pregnant remember!" I shout loud enough for him to hear.

"Oh yeah. Well, shit. Guess we are maids baby," Thomas says to Amelia.

Laughing, I walk to the couch and sit down. Placing a hand on my stomach, I smile. "It's you and me against the world little one. Mommy will never leave your side. I will always protect you."
