《Cute but Psycho (Emmett Cullen)》Chapter Twenty

Piper had successfully avoided Bella with the help of Jasper and Emmett. A few weeks later, Piper had learned what her gift was. She was able to perform telekinesis, which everyone thought was pretty cool. The story of her figuring out was hilarious.
Edward had tried to talk her into talking to Bella, but once he had started to piss Piper off, she lifted her hand and threw him away from her. Luckily, they were outside, so he just went through the trees, instead of through one of Esme's walls or windows. She would've been mad if Piper broke something. Well, maybe not if it was an accidental first time use of a gift she didn't know she had, but she could never be too sure.
"Bella's birthday is in two months. Are you going to be able to handle seeing her?" Alice asked, causing Piper to sigh.
"I'll have to, it's her birthday." She replied, and Alice smiled.
"You'll do great, Piper." Alice commented, before walking away.
Once Alice had left, Piper began to wonder about Bella's birthday. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle the girl's birthday. She holed Bella was smart and stayed away from her, but she knew Bella, and Bella was clumsy. Piper had to hope for the best though, even in a tough situation.
"Piper, will you come with me?" Rosalie asked,"I need to go shopping for clothes. You need an outfit too, and we'll go to another state where nobody will recognize you." She said, causing Piper to reluctantly agree.
Piper and Rosalie drove to another state, before Rosalie began to drag Piper around into different stores. Piper was so confused as to why she needed new clothes, other than all the clothes Rosalie and Alice had already bought her. She didn't know what was going on, and she wondered if it was another ploy to try and get her to interact with Bella.

"I just realized I'm in stores with humans, and I have flipped out once." Piper commented, causing Rosalie to chuckle.
"That's because you're holding yourself back from smelling them. If you wanted to, you would. I think you should wait until you meet Bella for the first time to try that, because then there'll be more than one person to help keep you off of her if you freak out on her." Rosalie replied, and Piper nodded.
She now knew how it felt to have eyes on her excessively stiff form like Jasper did. It wasn't exactly comfortable, but she knew she was going to have to deal with it. Eventually they'd look away, and eventually she'd get use to all of their eyes on her. Besides, her skin was flawless and according to everyone at home, she was beautiful, so eyes were always going to be on her for some reason or another.
"When we get home, you need to change into the dress and heels I bought you, then call me in there to do your hair." Rosalie said, and Piper nodded.
"Why am I dressing up?" She asked, causing Rosalie to smirk.
"You'll see soon enough." She replied, before pulling into the driveway.
Piper ran straight to her and Emmett's shared bedroom, and she was surprised to not see him in the room. He also wasn't in the living room, which made Piper furrow her eyebrows a bit. Instead of questioning it though, she quickly dressed herself in the black and red dress Rosalie bought, along with the strappy black heels. Once she was dressed, she softly called for Rosalie. Rosalie came into the room with a curling iron and a bag of makeup.
"You don't really need much makeup, but I'm going to do like I do on myself and give you eye makeup and a bit of lip gloss." Rosalie said, and Piper nodded.

Rosalie spent almost ten minutes on Piper's hair, using her vampire speed to get thtought the process faster, before she quickly applied makeup to Piper's face. Once Piper was ready, Rosalie grasped the girl's hand.
"I'm going to lead you, so don't worry. I do need you to close your eyes though, and use your senses to keep from tripping and ruining your heels." Rosalie said, causing Piper to chuckle.
Rosalie lead the girl through the woods for a bit, before they came to a small clearing. There was a bit of sun, allowing the girls' skin to sparkle. Once they were in the right area, Rosalie let go of Piper's hand and ran back home, letting Piper know she should open her eyes. She gasped when she seen what was in front of her.
Emmett stood with a large bouquet of flowers in his hand, as well as wearing a nice outfit. He had on dark jeans, along with a button down shirt. The shirt wasn't completely buttoned, and the sleeves were folded up to his elbows, but he still looked amazing. Emmett walked forward and handed the flowers to Piper, causing the girl to smile. She smelt the flowers, and they had smelt amazing.
As she was admiring the beautiful flowers, she didn't see Emmett get down on one knee. Looking back up to thank him, she gasped when she seen him on one knee. He grasped her hand in his, as her other one stayed holding the flowers.
"Piper Swan, I know these last few weeks have been crazy, but you've been amazing. I'm completely in love with you, and I have been ever since I laid eyes on you. You're my world, my mate, and my everything. Will you marry me?" He asked, and she nodded.
"Yes." She murmured, causing him to grin.
After slipping the ring on her finger, he carefully hugged her, knowing she wouldn't want to smash her flowers. He couldn't keep the grin off of his face though, not even when Alice came and crashed the moment to take pictures. Emmett and Piper were engaged, and nothing was going to spoil their happiness...
