《Cute but Psycho (Emmett Cullen)》Chapter Eleven

The day after Piper went to La Push, she decided to spend a day with her sister. Bella may have been a year younger than her, but she and Bella were still rather close. Piper was able to help Bella with homework, even if Piper didn't pay too much attention to the teachers or school in general. Bella paid attention in school and studied often, Piper not so much.
"We can watch movies for the day, or we can have some girl talk." Piper said, as she walked into Bella's room after getting dressed.
"Movies sound better, girl talk, not so much." Bella replied, still feeling awkward about girl talk, even with her sister.
"Fine, movies. Want to watch the Nightmare on Elm Street series?" Piper asked, and Bella nodded.
Piper and Bella walked downstairs, and Bella went to sit down on the couch, as Piper grabbed the first movie. Piper loved watching Nightmare on Elm Street, so any time she was given the chance, she'd watch the entire series. Bella liked horror movies, she just wasn't as huge of a fan as Piper was. Piper could practically recite the movies, since Piper had seen the movies so many times.
Piper walked off into the kitchen as the movie was loading. She grabbed candy, chips, a few drinks--mostly water for Bella--and a bag of cheddar popcorn, since she didn't feel like popping her own popcorn. After grabbing everything she wanted, she brought it into the living room and placed it on the table in front of the couch where she and Bella were going to sit to watch the movies.
"So, want to tell me how things are going between you and Edward?" Piper asked, as her eyes stayed zoned on the tv screen.
"So much for no girl talk," Bella commented, before sighing slightly,"nothing has really happened. He was rude, then he disappeared. Then when he came back he tried to be friendly, but then when the Juniors went on a field trip, he said he and I shouldn't be friends and was rude again." Bella said, causing Piper to sigh.

"He's a bit of an ass if you ask me." Piper commented, and Bella snorted slightly.
"What about you and Emmett? I mean, you seem to be friends with his sisters and brothers--other than Edward--so how are things with the two of you?" Bella asked, causing the sister to shrug.
"We don't have any labels or anything, since neither of us have those type of feelings. Bella, I doubt he and I will be together. All of his siblings believe we will, but I don't know." Piper said, and Bella bit her lip lightly.
"Do you have feelings for him?" Bella asked, making Piper sigh.
"I've been trying to figure that out for myself. To be honest, I'm still not sure." She replied, causing Bella to look over at her.
"Piper, how does Emmett make you feel, especially when he's around?" Bella asked, pressing the matter more corsely.
"When he's around, I smile and I laugh all the time. He can always make me laugh and smile, even just by simple gestures and jokes. Every time I talk about him, I feel butterflies in my stomach, which confuses me a little. I'm not the best with feelings and you know this, Bella, so it's weird to feel myself wanting to blush when Emmett is around." Piper answered, and Bella smiled.
"Piper, I'm going to be honest with you," Bella said, causing Piper to nod, still not looking away from the tv,"from what you've told me, you have feelings for him. You're falling for him, Piper, and I know he has feelings for you, too. Don't be surprised when you both are together soon, maybe even married right out of high school, and kids to follow along." Bella said, causing Piper to scoff and shove her sister's shoulder lightly.

Piper and Bella continued to watch the movies, eating the snacks Piper had brought into the room. After a couple of hours, Piper ordered a pizza for her and Bella to share. Lunchtime had come around, so Piper believed pizza would be the perfect lunch. While the girls ate pizza, Piper began to think about what Bella had said.
She wondered if she actually had feelings for Emmett. She knew she liked Emmett, but she didn't think she was falling for him. Apparently the butterflies and happiness when she was around Emmett meant she was falling for him, but it was still a bit confusing to her. Feelings were all a bit confusing to Piper if she was honest, but she was willing to learn and understand them better, especially if that meant she could eventually be happy with Emmett Cullen.
Piper knew Bella was joking, but marriage outside of high school seemed a bit far fetched. Piper hoped she and Emmett could eventually be together, even if she didn't completely understand her feelings just yet. Marriage wasn't the most realistic thing to Piper, but she wondered what it would be like to get married. How Bella had even come up with the idea of Piper and Emmett getting married made Piper feel a little confused as well, but she figured Bella had higher hopes that Piper ever could for a relationship that hadn't even started yet.
Also, when Bella mentioned children, Piper wondered if she ever actually wanted children. Piper was actually really good with children, but she didn't know if she wanted any of her own. Children always seemed to be drawn to her, so maybe adopting wouldn't be the worst idea. Even if she didn't end up with Emmett, Piper figured she'd probably adopt her own children. Children always deserved to have a loving family and happy home, so Piper really hoped to help some children once she was old enough to adopt her own.
With a slight sigh, Piper focused on the movie once again. She let her mind drift away from everything that was slowly giving her a headache. She needed to relax, since she still had a while before anything had to be figured out. Life did go by fast, but not so fast that Piper needed to stress herself out right now with her future...

Haven in a Dangerous World (Old)
Devin McMullen. Female. 18. Single dad. Dead mom. Good in fights and little else. No friends. Or, at least, that's what she's always been. Now, she's not sure exactly what she is. She's never been one for reading fiction, or anything for that matter, but this feels like something straight out of a fantasy. Her newly acquired instincts, however, scream dungeon core. Whatever that is. Unlike most dungeon cores, though, she's missing something very important. A dungeon. Stuck out in the open, above ground where she's definitely not supposed to be, with not a cave in sight, or any other land form besides miles and miles of ice and snow, Devin's not sure if she can survive. Update: Big caveate, though, just so you know. Started with this one idea and ran with it as far as I could. Characters and plot suffer from it, but I'm proud that I wrote as much as I did. I will rewrite this at some point and make it so it actually has plot. Check out my wordpress © [koallary] and [Haven in a Dangerous World], [2017].
