《Cute but Psycho (Emmett Cullen)》Chapter Seven

Piper and Emmett spent their entire night writing down things they thought the other one should know, and questions they had for each other. Of course, the two planned on spending time together, they just wanted to use this idea as an ice breaker almost, to give them more things to talk about. They didn't want anything to be too awkward, otherwise they'd never learn anything about each other.

Anyhow, after getting dressed the next morning, Piper made sure to pack her notebook into her bookbag so she wouldn't forget to give it to Emmett. She didn't want to look like an idiot because she forgot the notebook she had spent hours working on.

"Do you think Edward will be at school today?" Bella asked, as the two walked out towards their cars.

"I don't know. We'll see, I guess." Piper replied, and Bella nodded with a sigh.

Piper didn't understand her sister's obsession with the Cullen, especially since Bella had told her that Edward was rude to her the first time she met him. Piper hated people who were rude, so she knew if he was rude to her, she'd put him in his place instantly. She had gotten into plenty of fights throughout her school career, so most people knew better than to piss her off. Piper may be weird and outspoken, but she could also easily be pissed off and willing to fight, so most people tried to avoid angering her.

Pulling into the parking lot, Piper looked over and seen that Edward wasn't with his family again. She somewhat smirked, knowing he had gotten away from her lashing out on him for another day, but once he came back to school, there wasn't any way in hell Piper would allow the boy to avoid her. She was going to give him a piece of her mind, rather he liked it or not. She almost hoped she could make him cry, but she didn't know if his family would like that very much. She didn't want to make the rest of them hate her, but she also didn't like how disrespectful Edward was towards her sister. Piper does not tolerate disrespect, especially when it's to her family or someone she cares about.

"Hey, Piper." Emmett said, as he walked over to her car.

"Hey, Emmett. Do you have your notebook ready for me?" She asked, and he nodded.

He quickly threw his bookbag on the hood of her car, lightly so he wouldn't dent it, before he pulled his notebook from his bag and handed it to her. She quickly did the same, knowing the bell would ring rather soon for classes. Emmett's notebook was blue, whilst Piper's notebook was red. Believe it or not, Piper's favorite color was red, a royal red to be exact. Emmett's favorite color was blue, but he didn't have a specific blue that he liked the most. Though, if he had to choose, it would be the same blue as Piper's eyes, but he wouldn't tell her that. Piper's eyes were an ocean blue with a bit of green mixed in, which Emmett thought was the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen.

"I'll have all of the answers to your questions finished by the start of our class together." Piper said, and Emmett smiled.

"Same, I don't care much for my other classes anyway." He replied, causing her to shake her head with a light laugh.

When the bell rang, Emmett wrapped his arm around the girl's shoulders as light as he could, knowing he didn't want to accidentally crush her with his strength. He decided he'd walk her to class, since he really didn't want to leave her side. He wanted to get to know her better, more than just for a class assignment. He wanted to tell her, but he was worried she'd disagree. Little did he know, she wanted the same thing, but she didn't want to say it outloud either. It seemed, for the first time ever, both outspoken people were too shy to speak to each other.

"I'll see you after class." Emmett said, and Piper smiled.

"You don't have to walk me to and from every class, Emmett. I know it's not as easy to get to and from yours and mine on time." Piper commented, and Emmett chuckled.

"Don't worry, princess. I've got it all figured out. Besides, I don't care if I'm late for class, as long as I get to see you." He replied, causing the girl to blush.

Nobody had ever been so sweet towards Piper, mostly because she wasn't really a fan of sweet and mushy, but when it came to Emmett, her dislike for the notions seemed to go completely out of her mind. She didn't care when it came to Emmett, which for some reason she didn't understand. Emmett was a nice guy, but she never understood why she had felt so happy and content with the way Emmett acted around her, when if any other guy acted that way towards her, she'd push them down a flight of stairs.

"Have fun." He commented, as he stopped outside of the classroom door.

"Oh, without a doubt." She replied sarcastically, and he laughed.

"I'll be waiting right outside when class is finished." He said, causing her to smile.

"Don't get in trouble because of me." She commented, and he smirked.

"I'd never dream of it." He answered, though he was obviously lying.

Emmett wouldn't tell her, but he'd honestly get into trouble for her any day. Even if he had to fight off a pack of wolves for her, he'd do anything for her. She meant a lot to him, even if she didn't know it. She was special, and he knew it for sure, as did Alice and Rosalie, but neither woman would openly tell Piper the truth unless Emmett told them to. His sisters were excited to hear that he was finally happy, and she was the reason. If only she had already known how much she was going to mean to the family...
