CHAPTER 11:
"Reality ruined my life." ~I Would, One Direction

LOUIS' POV
Well it's safe to say that the populars sure know how to throw a damn well party. And I usually don't get invited to that many parties, considering the fact I'm your typical A-class Drama geek.
I wasn't invited to this party either, but Dani had dragged Harry, Niall and I here by the ears because Dani's soon-to-be boyfriend Liam, had invited her. Who also happened to be Zayn Malik's best bud. Lucky us, eh?
Harry was really reluctant to come here today, and we all (pretty much Dani) had to haul him out of his room because, A) He's not a very social person to begin with and, B) Zayn Malik, who's party we are attending right now, specifically warned Harry not to come. None of us know what Zayn's problem is, he's always a little agitated with my best friend and vice versa.
I lost Harry in the crowd immediately as soon as we arrived. Damn! I wanted to keep an eye on him! And Dani had quickly gone to find Liam, 'cos we were pretty late. Niall told me he had to go somewhere and he too bailed on me.
I shrugged. I was alone, so I craned my neck so I could spot Eleanor, and I did. She was on the dance floor that was in the middle of the huge ass living room. And damn that bloke! She was dancing with that Andy guy and they were having a pretty good time from what it looked like. I pouted and headed over to the drink table.
I was poured myslf a drink and gulped down half the alcohol. The sour liquid left tingles down my throat. I frowned when I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I smiled at Niall. "Where had you ran off to, mate?"
"I, uh had use the bathroom," he responded nervously, not meeting my eyes.
"Uh, you feeling ok, Nialler?" I asked him, placing my unfinished drink back down. That's what he told everyone back home calls him. Nialler. It's a cute nick name I admit. Way better than Boo Bear.
"Lou-Louis, would ya like to, uh, to dance with me?"
I blinked in surprise. That was unexpected. "Uh, no offense Niall, but why me? There are a lot of pretty cute people at this party."
"Please?" He pleaded and oh damn! He pulled the puppy dog face. Unintentionally. And it was working ten times stronger 'cos of his big blue eyes.
"Fine. Just one dance. Though I don't understand why in carrot's name would you want to dance with me!"

Niall giggled. "Carrot?"
"My hair's red so I get called a carrot. I despise carrots and I'm not dyeing my hair again. Ever."
"Really? I think red looks good on you," he told me shyly. "I dye my hair too."
I looked at him then at his hair in surprise. "Thanks. And wow I could've never guessed. Blond suits you so much," I complimented him back and he blushed. He looks so adorable when he blushes, like his whole face turns pink instead of only his cheeks and— you okay, Loueh's mind?
I shook my head when we reached the dance floor. There was a particularly upbeat dance song on and I decided to do my famous dance moves. And twerk a little.
"Look here Niall, let the Dance Masta from Doncasta teach you some moves." Niall laughed but nodded.
I first taught him my famous 'Pat the Dog, Screw the Lightbulb' dance and he got the hang of it pretty fast. Niall was a little shy to dance first, but then he just let it all go.
I taught him another move, 'Stop the traffic, Let them through,' but the former was Niall's favorite. Almost everyone was watching us dance it out and I was having a hell lot of fun.
We danced and busted moves 'til all the good songs ended and a slow couple song came on.
"Eugh, come on Nialler. Let's wait 'til they play some good songs again."
I turned around and was going to go have my well-deserved drink when Niall tugged at my arm.
"Just one more dance Lou?"
"Niall! This is a slow dance! For couples!"
"Just trust me, please?" He pleaded and held his hand out. I gulped. I know I should've been thinking rationally at this point and say no, but I didn't argue. He had such a cute expression on his face that swayed me. I let the smaller lad pull me by the hand and we stood smack-dab in the middle of the dance floor awkwardly.
Why wasn't I pulling away? Why was I dancing to a slow song with a guy? Did I seriously drink that much? I thought I took just a sip?!
Niall slowly placed his arms around my neck 'cos he was shorter than me and hesitantly, I put my arms around his waist. He then started to sway us gently to the beat of Chasing Cars.
I don't know what I was doing right now. I don't know why I was going this right now. But I couldn't think straight. Niall's blue eyes were holding me captive.
After awkwardly swaying for a while, we finally got the hang of it. And right now, with Niall, I know I should pull away and it should feel weird and wrong. But somehow, it doesn't feel wrong. It feels nice. Really nice.

Niall tentatively placed his head on my shoulder and his soft hair tickled my neck. Shivers ran through my body at the intimacy.
"Louis?" Niall whispered moments later, his warm breath hitting my collarbone.
"Ye-yeah?"
"I really like you."
I blinked. What did he just say? I pulled away from him in surprise but he took it the wrong way and a hurt look crossed his face.
"I-I... Niall I-"
"I really like you Louis. Damn I've liked you from the day I first saw you. You were the nicest to me. And I don't care if I'm not your type, if you don't feel the same way, 'cos I've already fallen for you," he finished and I found it hard to swallow. My head was all fuzzy. I just wanted to sit in a corner and sort out my head. I still couldn't make sense of Niall's words.
"Say something please," he pleaded.
"I-I- I... don't know!"
Niall just stared at me for a long time, searching my eyes, looking for the truth. Apparently he found it and his eyes filled with dissapointment.
And what happened next was something nobody was expecting. Especially not me.
"Alright," Niall searched my eyes again and I spoke a faint "Sorry" to him. We were just standing there awkwardly, neither of us making a move to leave.
And right at that moment he wrapped his arms around my neck and pulling me down, put his lips on mine.
My emotions became even more of a jumbled mess right at that moment. Like a crazy scientist's chemical concoction. I have no idea if it was the alcohol or my own emotions that urged me to do this.
Becuase after a few moments I pulled Niall closer to me and deepened the kiss. This kiss was definitely different than any other kiss I've ever had. It just felt so right.
But it shouldn't damn it! 'Cos this was WRONG!
I not-so-slowly pulled away from Niall and he had a dazed expression on his face. He then snapped out of it and smiled up at me with such happiness that my heart panged with guilt.

NIALL'S POV:
Oh God I can't even think straight right now. I finally told Louis everything I felt. Every single feeling I have felt for him since I first saw him two weeks ago. I know it's not a long time to fall for somebody but I had.
It hurt a little when he said he doesn't know when I asked him to say something.
But I'd finally got the courage to do it! I kissed him!
And he kissed me back, so that must mean he has some feelings for me. This kiss must be his answer! 'Cos God, that was some kiss! I wanted to jump in the air at the thought.
After Louis quickly ended the most amazing kiss, I looked up at him with a smile, that showed exactly how I was feeling inside.
"I-I have to go." He muttered, pulling away, avoiding my eyes. Before I could ask him why, he turned around and quickly shoving through people, exited through the back door.
"Wait Louis!" I called out but I couldn't be heard over the noise of the party. I ran after him as fast as I could. I finally got out of the claustrophobic crowd into the quiet night and gasped for air.
I saw Louis, standing with his hands spread out flat on the bonnet of a car, head down and he was breathing heavily.
"Louis?" I asked, slowly walking towards him, scared that he'd run away again. I gasped in sadness when he did just that.
"Louis listen to me!" I ran after him down the quiet street.
"Louis- why- are- you- running- away- from- me?!" I panted.
He suddenly stopped in the middle of the street and stood there, with his head down.
"Why did you just run away like that?" I asked sadly, walking nearer to him.
"After I told you how I feel about you? After kissing me like that?" I demanded and he clenched his fists.
"I didn't kiss you. You kissed me," he spoke curtly.
"But you kissed me back!"
A pained expression crossed his face and he was struggling for words. "Look Niall I- I don't feel anything for you," he whispered, looking away and tears pricked my eyes.
"But why did you kiss me back then?!" I almost yelled, frustrated. He's confusing me so damn much!
"It was a fucking mistake ok?! Forget about it!" He screamed back and stalked in the direction of the house, without sparing me a glance.
A mistake?
A fucking mistake?!
That's what it felt like to kiss me?
My heart crumbled right at that moment and I let out a broken sob. Why did I ever think he'd feel the same way? Why am I so stupid?
Why am I never good enough for anybody?
~*~
Nialler my poor baby! *wipes tears aggressively*
Sorry if it was a little predictable. Hope it was okay. :)
This chapter was the hardest to write honestly. Comment what you thought about it. How did you think Louis took it?
