Cannot believe my brother walked out of this room, leaving me in the hands of these monsters. I don't want to think about what they have planned for me, but knowing who they are it can't be good. I look up at them, Connor is saying something quietly to Luther, but he hasn't taken his eyes off me.
Giving me that devilish smile, he holds up his hand to Connor, "anything you would like to know before we go?"
My brows scrunch in confusion, "where are we going?"
"It's a surprise darling but trust me when I say it'll be worth my while." He laughs at his own words.
"There really is something wrong with you." That sobers him up almost instantly. His mouth forms a hard line, and his eyes that once were black are now red. If he were a dragon there would be smoke coming out of his nose with how hard his nostrils flare.
Bending down to my eye level, he pinches my chin roughly between his thumb and finger. Bringing my face up, I am so close to his face, our noses are touching once more. "You want to know what's really wrong with me darling?"
Keeping my mouth shut, I know not to utter a word. "I'm pissed off that everything I have worked so hard for, hasn't been what's happened here today. I thought I would have my youngest son alongside me, just as his brothers. I thought I would have all the power in this world at my fingertips, but no you had to ruin everything with your existence." He roars.
Closing my eyes, I picture the people I love. Liz with her sarcastic mouth. How she doesn't give a shit what anyone says, she is her own person. Strong and so beautiful in her pride. Keith, my not so perfect brother. Who once was just a boy who doted on his parents and little sister? At one time protected those he loved and didn't give in to his demons.
The new people in my life that I have found to grow fond of. Martin, though stoic, so friendly with others. Protective to a fault. Joshua, the quiet man that says few words, but so much with his eyes. Tony, the wiseass who puts on a front. When you first meet him, you think he's such an asshole, but standing back and observing you find he is just a scared little boy that needs someone to bring him to heal.

Then there is the two people that I never thought I'd see again. My biological mother, who has been through hell and back. She never let it break her completely. She is strong, loving, and caring. Find myself hoping Luther doesn't outright kill me here and now in a fit of rage, so I may see her at least one more time. Lastly, my Kayden, the boy who protected me when we were young, and protects me still today. The man who loves me more then anything else in this world. Who takes care of his friends and family with everything he is?
Tears build behind my eyes, thinking of all the people that are my world. Hoping I get to see them once more, so I can tell them all how much they mean to me. Tell Kayden how much I love him because I haven't said those words out loud yet.
The monster that is holding me within his clutches gets what he craves. With that thought my tears flow freely. Fusing my mouth shut I will not make a sound. He can have my tears he won't get my sounds of weakness.
"Open your beautiful eyes." He says calmly as he rubs my chin with his hand.
Opening my eyes, I find myself eye to eye with the devil. He smiles, a beautiful smile, that would light up his face if he wasn't evil. His black eyes are watching my tears as they fall one by one down my cheek. His thumb wipes at them, bringing his thumb to his mouth he licks them away.
"You are a beautiful girl, when you cry the tears falling down your face, welling in your eyes, make you beyond gorgeous." He says, his eyes never leaving my face. He almost looks to be in a daze.
Beautifully sorrow words, coming from the mouth of a broken man. His eyes move up to mine, his stare is penetrating. "Yes, I'm afraid I've been broken for a long time now darling." He smiles and for once it holds a hint of sadness.
"When your father James and I were children, we had a common goal. Our families were already powerful, being the first in the line of what we were. We wanted to be great, and I know if sudden circumstances hadn't arisen, he would be standing beside me today." His eyes take on a far away look as he remembers the past.

"I don't remember much of my father, but I do remember he was a good man. He wouldn't condone any of what you are doing." My words spit at him.
"Yes, well as we got older, he chose falling in love over power. He may not have agreed with my actions, but he couldn't ever let me go. His goodness was his ultimate downfall." He looks to my lips.
"It's a shame I cannot keep you for myself. I would have so much fun with you." He whispers.
My already fast beating heart picks up speed. I'm afraid he's going to put his mouth on mine. If he does, I swear I'll bite with all I have.
Smiling, I hear that will only entice me more my dear. I pull my face out of his hold, and glare at him. Showing all my true hate for this man, and everything he is capable of. He can see the despise in my eyes.
He sighs, takes his hands, and pushes me so I'm completely on my back. Climbing on top of me, his hand goes to my hair and plays with the strands, "don't worry my dear I will find a way to have you in time." His eyes don't leave my hair.
What does he mean by that? My entire body is covered in goosebumps. Every limb is shaking with fear. Holding back tears, I take a deep breath and let it out. I need to calm down, so I don't pass out. Who knows what he'll do to me if I'm unconscious?
"No need to be afraid, I cannot touch you now. I have plans for you, and I need you well and untouched for them to work." He lifts his body off mine.
I lift my body to a sitting position and slide back. Making as much space between us I can manage. He doesn't allow this, walking to me, he lifts me up in one pull.
"Let's go my dear for he is waiting." He starts to walk to the office door, dragging me with him. Connor is right behind us. We walk down a series of halls, and down a flight of stairs. He opens the door, and all you can see is a set of stairs in a dark room.
He pulls me down them, and I can see it's the basement. Around the corner of the dark, mirky walls, there's a bright light. A portal is open. He turns to me and stands my body straight.
"You will not speak at all; you will bow your head until you are told otherwise when we walk to the other side do you understand me." A fierce look is on his face showing he means what he says.
"Where are we going." I ask.
The cruel smile returns, "going to meet the Dark Fae King, the one I will be giving you to as a means for him to help me win this war."
He says this so casually like it's not a big deal that he's about to trade my life for this war. Before I can utter a word, we walk up to the portal. I start to flail, and fight with all my might. It's no use he and his men are stronger and more powerful.
"You will stop this at once, or I will take you here and now, and the King will be none the wiser." I stop immediately knowing I am only giving him reason to take what he has been craving for hours.
"You will walk through this portal, and you will do as I say are we clear." His face is right in front of mine.
I nod my head, knowing I need to bide my time. Save my energy for the real fight of my life beyond that portal. Seeming satisfied he grabs my arms, and we walk through the light.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

My Failed Reincarnation as a Demon’s Prisoner
When Kayn opened his eyes in the empty void, he was met with a familiar voice and the knowledge that he was neither dead nor alive and about to be reincarnated. What he didn't expect was to reappear in the world of the living and immediately get captured by a clan of demons, now living as their prisoner. After a lucky encounter, Kayn stumbles upon a room that could possibly give him what he needs to free himself from their captivity. But, as he soon finds out, escaping from the demon queen herself isn't the easiest of tasks... **DISCLAIMER**This story attempts to be quite comedic (I don't know if I'm doing a great job at it) and will be more comedy heavy at the start than later on. As the situations Kayn finds himself in become more grave, the story will become serious and less comedy oriented. There will always be comedy throughout, but at some point I do plan on shifting the focus. I'd love to hear everyones opinion on whether the comedy should be kept in full, or dialed back a little so the plot can take centre stage more often. Happy reading!
