Hyein never really despised anything about her personality before. She was fairly well mannered, kind, and wasn't always impulsive. Maybe once or twice she had indeed acted on impulse due to her temper problems, but it wasn't a big deal and most of the time, she believed, they were justified. But on that day, she discovered a major flaw in her personality that she hadn't noticed before. One that she came to despise with all her heart.
Hyein tended to freeze up every time she was surprised. Whenever she was caught off guard, she would go all Error 401 mode and just stand there stunned for a few seconds before her brain actually registered something and that was exactly what she was doing now.
She was staring wide-eyed at the man who had fallen on the ground and also served as a cushion to break her fall as he stared back, equally surprised, and the pain evident on his face. Taehyung slowly opened his mouth to say something, probably to yell at her to get off but thankfully, Hyein had registered the situation by then and had quickly scrambled back up on her feet.
"I-I AM SORRY!" Hyein squeaked out, embarrassed at the man that lay on the ground still grunting in pain. "W-would you like for me to help you?"
Taehyung cried out in pain, "Aaah.." Before he gave her a look that seemed to say Are you serious?
Hyein quickly helped him up from the ground, mentally cringing at herself for her mistake. How embarrassing!! Taehyung seemed to have hurt his elbow instead of her and now he was nursing it with his good hand while he gave Hyein a pitiful glare.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't want you to open the package, in case there was something dangerous in there." Taehyung didn't reply as he just stared back at her in pain. "Are you okay?"
"Do I look okay?" Oh, alright.
"I will see if there's something...."
She trailed as she edged away towards the kitchen in hopes of finding a First Aid kit. Suddenly, she felt something against her feet and she looked down to see the package on the ground. She had almost forgotten about it. She crouched down and picked up the now soaked up box in her hands, opening it carefully, not to get the glass inside on her hands. She was right. The liquid was indeed blood and in there nestled in between the pieces of glass sat a half wet note card. Hyein pulled it out carefully not to tear the note and it had yet another threat, as she had expected.

You'll die the most painful death.
"You'll die the most painful death? Ha! I can't believe this guy." Taehyung exclaimed, reading the note aloud from behind Hyein. Another threat? Why was the guy sending them threats and he had gone so far as to send him a bottle of animal blood this time? Was this indeed a hater, like Taehyung had mentioned?
Hyein observed the glass container inside. It was a perfume bottle with the initial E that stood for Ethereal engraved on it. It was an old model of perfume Ethereal had launched in it's beginning phase. At that time, Ethereal wasn't as big as it was now. What did it mean? Was it a clue?
"Do you think it could be someone from the company?"
"The company? I don't think anyone fr- Aaaah!" Taehyung cried out when he felt a searing pain in his arm.
"Oh no, I'll go get the car ready Mr.Taehyung; meanwhile, try to keep your arm in the same position," Hyein said, as she quickly rushed out of the house to get the car started and Taehyung did as he was told.
----------------
Turns out Taehyung's arm got fractured. That was the reason it was paining him so much. Hyein was so sorry. Of course, she should be, after all, it should have been her instead of Taehyung sitting there in pain. But still, this was going a bit overboard.
"Aaaa~"
"Mr.Kim, I don't think this is appropriate."
"Why? You are the one who broke my arm!"
"I know but feeding you is too much. I'm not your mom. You can still use your good arm to eat."
"I'm not right-handed. I can't eat with my right hand. So, Aaaa~" Taehyung opened his mouth wide like a child, and Hyein sighed, stabbing the chopsticks into the rice as she glared at him. Hyein forced herself to trap a clump of rice in her chopsticks while she mentally recoiled at the thought. She slowly lifted it from the bowl, so slowly that it must have been hours. Taehyung sat there smiling smugly, drinking in on her utter misery as he held his mouth wide open. Don't think about the jerk, Hyein. You can do it.

She mentally encouraged herself but the mere thought of feeding the insufferable being in front of her was so atrocious and her pride was so high that it wouldn't allow her to move her hands. Hyein's hands were trembling. It was subtle in the beginning, but as she forced herself to move a couple of inches forward, they trembled as if they were violently being shaken by invisible hands. It's alright. The jerk took a fall for you and even broke his arm because of your clumsiness. It'll be fine.
Clumps of rice fell back into the bowl as her hands shook violently but the chopsticks hadn't moved an inch. Hesitantly, she glanced at Taehyung who had gotten tired of keeping his mouth open for so long that he had resorted to keeping it shut and watching her struggle with herself. The smirk on his face was so annoying, Hyein felt her temper flare. She slammed the chopsticks back down on the table.
"Ah! I can't do this. If you can't eat by yourself, then STARVE!"
"Omo, you broke my arm and now you're telling me to starve? How heartless can you be?!!" The guilt-tripping was actually working on her for once, but still, Hyein couldn't bring herself to do it. Besides, he wasn't even that hurt. He could easily eat with his right hand. No, Hyein... he can't eat with a cast on.
Hyein ignored her inner voice. She was in a tight spot. Think, Hyein...
"Mr.Kim, do you think the perfume bottle could be a clue?" Tactic one, change the subject.
"Hmmm, maybe. The bottle wasn't from this year's collection. It wasn't last year's either."
"I know Sir. It was from the collection released ten years ago. I don't think any of our stores still sell those bottles." Hyein pointed out.
"You're right. There won't be any in the stores now." Taehyung confirmed.
"That must mean one thing. It was purchased a long time ago. 10 years to be exact." Taehyung nodded his head.
"Then we have a clue. It's someone who is related to the company. Someone who's been there for a long time." Hyein responded.
"We can't exactly be sure of that. It can also be a customer." Taehyung pointed out.
"I don't think so. The perfume bottle was probably sent as an indication of that. Like he wants you to know that it's related to Ethereal." Hyein replied, looking him in the eye and Taehyung arched an eyebrow, considering it. It was plausible. What else could explain the strange contents of the package? There was a low glint in his eyes as he regarded her. Perhaps could it be ... admiration?
"Do you have any clues on who it might be? It could be someone who is closely related to you." Hyein encouraged Taehyung to think. There wasn't anyone he knew for that long. He wasn't even working at the company ten years back for god's sake. Who was it? Who was so furious at him that they would even threaten to kill him? And then Taehyung's mouth hung open as he realized something.
"It must be them."
"Who?" Hyein asked, curiously, leaning forward from her seat. Taehyung sounded so sure of it. If he were right, then they had the culprit in their hands now.
"Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook."

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y
