Taehyung had finally calmed down. Now feeling the sweat that dotted his forehead, sensing the coolness of it and inhaling the air, he relished in the pure relief flooding his system.
When he looked, his eyes fell on her hand on his back. One look at the hand and he made a face of disgust, "What do you think you're doing?"
Hyein drew back her hand, rolling her eyes, "And you are back."
"And what did you call me? Taehyung?"
Her eyes went wide, caught off guard by the question. She hadn't realized.
"Omo!" He exclaimed, bringing a hand to his mouth as if he couldn't believe it.
"I-I Mr.Kim I m-meant-"
"Omo! Omo Omo!"
"I didn't call you Taehyung. Just- Just forget it!" Hyein cried waving her hands in front of his face hoping that would distract him from his question.
"How old are you to call me Taehyung?" He asked wearing an expression of annoyance, sizing her up.
"You know it's rude to ask a girl her age, right? Anyway, I'll be 24 in a few months."
"You are a girl?" Taehyung teased and she raised her hands threateningly. He chuckled the boxy grin back on, soft and genuine. Hyein couldn't help but smile back at him momentarily forgetting all the rivalry and hatred and just being genuinely happy with him.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she focused on the matter at the hand. There was a note on the desk. Snatching it up from there she read it.
I will kill you.
The note was written with red paint. The same one she had seen on the window. "Mr.Kim?" Hyein wanted to ask about the note but Taehyung cut her off.
"How did you know about my anthophobia?" He suddenly asked.

"It was in the contract."
"Contract?" Taehyung repeated. He didn't remember mentioning anything about his phobia when he made it. Who would add that in there? Wait- Namjoon......
"So that's why you... " He trailed off. Hyein could only stare back confused at his mumbling.
"Anyways, I think there was an intruder."
"Yes, thank you, Captain Obvious." She rolled her eyes at the comment.
"Did you close your windows properly?" Hyein asked as he got up from the floor dusting off his shirt. "The windows?"
"Yeah, I found a bit of paint on the one upfront. I think whoever it was, came in through the window."
With a glance towards her side, he made his way onto the living room where the huge glass window was situated. Sure enough, there was a red smudge of paint as his secretary had observed. Frowning he ran his hands along the sides, looking for a way it could be opened but as soon as he touched it, the glass frame fell off and shattered on the ground. What the-
She was right.
"I'm calling the police," Hyein stated, fishing out her phone from the pocket but the phone was whisked out of her hand before she could even protest. "What?" Hyein exclaimed.
"Look here Ms.Lee, you don't know the consequences," Taehyung yelled, taking a step forward with each word until he stood right in front of Hyein, towering over her.
"You received a death threat!!" Hyein replied incredulously.
"I know, but think about what'll happen if my father finds out about it. He'll think that I am so incompetent that I can't even handle a mere hater-"
"This is not a mere hater. He broke into your home!"
"Even still, I can't make a big deal out of it by calling the police! I can handle it by myself. Besides, if he found out about it, the company will-"

"Mr. KIM. Don't you understand? This is dangerous!" Hyein yelled back trying to make him understand the seriousness of his situation.
Taehyung sighed. "Do you think anyone is more dangerous than me?"
Hyein paused for a moment unable to comprehend what he had said. "You don't really believe that, You can't be serious," Hyein stated, hoping that it was a joke but Taehyung remained somber.
"Listen here. You don't know much because you haven't been in this industry for long. We always handle our matters on our own. That's the only way you can survive." He explained as if he were talking to a particularly overdramatic toddler throwing a tantrum. "Besides, I've been in this industry for quite some time. I can handle this on my own."
Hyein didn't buy it. He was right she hadn't been in this industry for long. But a death threat is a serious matter and reporting to the police was the safest option for her. But if the arrogant Jacka*s wasn't going to listen to her, then there was no point in talking to him.
"You know what? Do whatever you want!" Hyein gathered up her bearings, determined to leave.
"Now, where the hell are you going?" Taehyung called out but it didn't deter Hyein, "I'm done." She spat out, not caring whether it was unprofessional or not.
"Stop right there," Taehyung ordered. Hyein paid no heed.
"Secretary Lee. I said stop."
Taehyung commanded, taking his authoritative tone with her and Hyein felt herself freeze. Cursing herself, she turned back, shooting him a glare. Taehyung smiled suddenly, the serious attitude he had moments ago fading out as he leisurely walked up to her from the living room.
"I didn't know you were that worried about me."
What did he say?
"W-what? Worried? Me? A-are you kidding me?" Hyein cried in disbelief at the man who stood there smiling so widely it must hurt.
"If you are that worried, you can help me find the culprit." Taehyung offered. "It was in your contract that you should protect me after all."
Hyein's first impulse was to say no. But on second thought it wasn't that bad. Though she didn't like the idea of working with him, it was worth a try. That way, Hyein would be in on his plans and if she ever felt that the matter was getting out of hand, she could immediately report it to the police whether he wanted to or not. "Let's get this one thing straight." she declared holding out her hand in front of her to make a point and Taehyung tilted his head, amused.
"I am certainly not worried about you." Hyein pointed out and Tehyung's smile turned into a smirk. "I am only doing this because of the contract. If anything happens to you, I'm not responsible for it. Deal?"
(Turn on the media.)
"Sure."
Taheyung drawled and his smile turned the tiniest bit serious. Eyes glinting with dare Taehyung gripped her hand, intentionally tightening it, making her wince, and shook her hands.
The deal was on.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
