"We all live in a superhuman society, where 80% of the population possesses some kind of superpower. "

"It all started with a boy that radiated light, and then, reports of people with superpowers kept popping up from all around the world. "

"But that wasn't all, with the powers, also came these wormhole-like gates called 'dungeon', that linked our world together with some other world. "

(Kinda like these)

"Once a gate appears, people are able to freely enter and exit it. But after 7 days, the things inside the dungeon could also leave the gate and come into the outside world."

"And what came outside wasn't anything good. There were all sorts of monsters like orcs, ogres, ants, goblins, and all the other creatures and monsters from various fantasy tales."

"The only way one could close off a gate is by finding and defeating the boss of the dungeon hidden inside."

"The difficulty and the intensity of the dungeon could be detected using a device known as the 'gate scanner'. The gates are then ranked from the weakest 'E' then moving onwards with 'D', 'C', 'B', 'A' and finally 'S'. "

"And those who took the responsibility of taking care of these gates as well as the villains outside were known as heroes. They were also ranked from 'E' to 'S' after assessing their total strength and performance."

"There was this one unwritten law here. 'Nobody knows what happens inside of a dungeon'. This was because whenever someone went inside a dungeon, they would always return either covered in blood, or injured."

"No one's dead body ever came back because after the death of the boss, the gate would only remain open for about 30 minutes."

"No one knew what happened to those left inside after the gate closed. My father was one of them. He had went into a dungeon but he didn't come back."

"Me and my mom had been living on the paycheck we recieved as compensation after we had lost him. But before leaving, he gave my mom a daughter and me a sister. "

"The government had officially sanctioned an agency to look after and maintain the clearing and blocking of the nearby area around a dungeon to the association of heroes so that people do not enter gates unchecked and cause deaths. "

"The hero whom I was the greatest fan of was the S-rank hero, all might. It was his debut that struck me the most, It was after a gate had opened and monsters started rampaging around and causing destruction everywhere . Even though everyone was scared and troubled, he came through and saved everyone and defeated the monsters and the boss within minutes. "

"I watched his videos everyday, and I wanted to have a power just like him and then be a hero just like him"

"Until... "

(Third person perspective)

"Nope kid, it ain't gonna happen." Said the doctor to izuku.

"Is there really no chance doctor, all his classmates are getting their quirks, it is only izuku who hasn't gotten any. " Said izuku's mom.

"And he won't get one either. You see, I ran him through the scanner and it sensed him to have little to no quirk power. So I hate to say it to you, but if he tries to be a hero with this power, forget about the gates, he would die even if he tried to protect the streets. " Said the doctor.

(Izuku's point of view)

After reaching home, I didn't talk at all, I was completely silent. I just went back, sat on my chair and began watching the video of all might. Tears silently dripping from my face, but still smiling.

" He's such a cool hero mom, he always saves everyone with a smile. Can.. I.."

After a while, my mom came into mt room to look at me. I turned back, tears still running down my face, and asked my mom,

"M-m-m-mom, can I-i-i A-a-a-also become a H-H-H-Hero like him? " And tears started running down my face.

My mom just came and hugged me tightly, she was also crying, and said to me,

"I'm sorry izuku, I'm really sorry. "

Mom, that day, those weren't the words I wanted to hear.

(Currently izuku is 12 years old, his sister is 10 years old)

(Izuku's point of view)

After my sister izumi and I's school had finished, I took my sister together with me and was walking home.

"Izuku onii-chan, what do you think mom would have made for lunch today. " She said.

"I think she might have made your favorite Omurice today Izumi. "

"Waahh!!! I love Omurice sooo... much.

🎵Omu-rice, Omu-rice, Rice-rice-rice🎵"

She began singing while jumping around.

After reaching home, I saw that there were some people in suits around the building...

"Ahh kid, is this your home, I am here from the Hero Association.

I don't know how to say it to you, but something has happened to your mother.." Said one of the guy in the suits to me.
