"What do you mean?" Trix asked, blushing.
"Oh, well I thought you two were dating, that's all. I mean, as your trusted friend, you would've told me if you were dating someone. I guess the question was silly." I said, glaring at Torin. I didn't tell him off because I wasn't the tattle-tale type.
"Ok! What the heck is going on between you two?! You've been shooting each other death glares all day!" Trix yelled, frustrated.
"What? What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Yeah! It's not like we hate each other!" Torin said.
"Fine! You leave me no choice!" Trix said, grabbing a remote. She pressed a button and UT rolled towards us.
"You're going to force the truth out of us?" I asked.
"I really don't want you to lower your opinion of me in case what Torin said was true." UT translated. I turned red with embarrassment.
"What did Torin say?" Trix asked.
"Did he say something mean? I will punch him if he did." UT translated.
"N-no! That's not what I meant!" Trix protested.
"I didn't mean to sound mean to Torin or overprotective of Tails." the machine said.
"You were going to punch me?" Torin said, trying to act pitiful. I wasn't fooled.
"I'm trying to make you say something nice to me." the robot said.
"Aha!" I said.
"Score one for Tails." the machine translated.
"Are you guys competing over something?" Trix asked, suspicious.
"Boys always do stupid dares and bets." the machine said.
"No! That's not what we were doing!" I said.
"We were fighting over something more delicate." UT translated.
"Can you shut that thing off?" Torin asked.
"This is not how I wanted to confess to you." UT said. Torin turned red with embarrassment.

"Confess what?" Trix asked.
"I don't follow." UT said.
"For someone so smart, you're surprisingly dense." I said.
"I think you're very smart and pretty." UT said.
"What? No!" I said.
"Don't let that thing say any more." UT translated.
"Well, thank you for the compliment." Trix said, blushing.
"That was really sweet." the robot said. Trix blushed even redder. Torin grumbled something under his breath.
"She's supposed to be mine." the robot translated.
"Agh! No!" he said.
"Oh no. That stupid machine just unveiled my crush on Trix." the machine said. Trix blushed but stayed silent. I humphed.
"I'm jealous that Trix blushed at that comment." UT said.
"Um, I think that thing's malfunctioning!" Tails said.
"I have to get this machine to shut up before it tells Trix that I love her." UT said. By now, Trix was blushing so hard she was no longer blue. An awkward silence. Trix rubbed the back of her neck.
"So you two have been fighting over me?" she asked timidly.
"It's sweet of you but I really don't want my friends to be in an argument because of me." UT said.
"Choose." Torin said.
"Choose what?" Trix asked.
"Which one of us do you choose?" Torin said.
"Um... Neither? I-I mean both! I mean..." Trix stuttered.
"I really like T-" The machine started, but Trix was quick to throw a wrench at it and shut it up.
"So you really like someone whose name starts with T?" Torin asked.
"Um, I think my cookies are burning! Bye!" Trix said, rushing out of the workshop.
"It's me." Torin said.
"Why so full of yourself?" I asked.
"Because why would she like a nerd?" he said.
"Because I'm a celebrity nerd who's part of team Sonic." I said.
"So what? It's not like it's team Tails or anything." he grumbled.

Re: (Union//Incarnation)
Two years ago, a meteor fell and decimated the southeastern lands of Gaia, turning them into wastelands constantly shrouded in white fog. None of those who saw the blazing calamity with their own eyes lived to tell the tale, and those who attempted to venture in never came back. Since then, towers, caverns, and ruins have appeared and disappeared without a pattern. Those who were brave enough to venture in were rewarded with a partner capable of defying the natural laws as humanity knows it. People started to call them ‘Incarnation’, and before long, more and more Incarnation were gathered and sold as commodity, especially after a billionaire has sponsored a fighting tournament offering cash prizes to those possessing the strongest Incarnation, spurring the greedy and desperate to hunt for the fabled creatures at the cost of their lives. Claire Saphira wanted none of that. She simply wished for a life where she could live without worry of her own survival. As she ran from the debt collectors for the umpteenth time, she was swallowed by an errant tower, where she saw a frail, pale-skinned girl with ashen hair hung by chains. It was a chance, a chance to participate in the tournament and live without worrying about survival. Yet, something nagged in the back of her mind. Why did she look so familiar? Planned release schedule: One chapter every day for Mon-Fri, and a break on Sat-Sun. The release will slow down at some point, but most likely won't go under 3 chapters a week.
