《The Man Between The Pages {Jikook} [completed]》~Crazily human, humanly crazy~

never understood how he ended up being the puppet rather the puppeteer. Certainly he preferred being the one getting manhanlded rather than his beautiful lover but as much as he wanted to disagree with the events taking place in front of him, Park Jimin was aware that Min Yoongi was close to have a double win. A win he surely did expect.
Cause if something happened to Jungkook, Jimin would suffocate in mania and in guilt, constantly blaming himself for the ache he had caused. And if something happened to Jimin, Jungkook would drown in complete loss and deprivation. Losing your first love- for Jungkook being the only love he desired in his entire life- was known to be an unbearable pain, a burden to carry in your chest eternally, eating you sluggishly like a deathwatch.
It was as if Yoongi knew how their story would turn out. That Jimin would somehow fall in love with the younger, that his entire plan would take a different turn, a turn that no matter the outcome could be beneficial for him and him only. Either way he was a winner. From all Jimin had known, Yoongi might have predicted Jungkook's plan too. It was that moment that an acrimonious thought made its way in his mind.
Since Yoongi was having a chin strap around Jimin due to his sister, what if Yoongi could do the same for Jungkook?
Averting his gaze to his boyfriend, staring at his intense movements Jimin decided to cut the silence.
''Kook... you have told me that your father lives in Japan, right?''.
''Yes but I don't think it's the right time to talk about my dad, is it gorgeous?'' Jungkook inquired back, a gleam of fear and excitment meshing in his irises. Hadn't it been for the silky, mellow facial feautures of the man, his eyes alone could be so deceiving. Everyone thought of chestnut, yellowish brown as a color of fraudelence yet Jungkook was one of the biggest exceptions.
They were called wolf eyes and just like the flesh eating animals which hunted in packs, people with these eyes always wanted to fit in. If you'd ask Jungkook, he still remembered how different he was from his peers. He wasn't sociable- not in the slighest- but he was desperate to fit in.

People called them alluring creatures for their irresistible mystique and extreme uniqueness, Jimin could certainly agree on that. And apart from their dominant aura and adventurous nature, their eyes could drown you in their mysterious depth. That's what the blond was detecting in his boyfriend's eyes at that moment. An enigma.
''Give him a call''.
''What? Now?'' Jungkook questioned perplexed.
''Call him Kook. Please'' he ordered and handed him over the phone. Jungkook eyed him with a strange expression yet he dialed his father's number nevertheless. ''Hi dad, is everything alright?''.
''Yes Jungkook, why did you c-call all of the sudden?''.
''It's been months but I can still hear your voice a little hoarse. I really need to pay you a visit as soon as possible. This might be serious...''.
''No, no son... I am okay really''.
''What's going on?'' Jimin jumped in the conversation.
''It's been months but he is having some sort of sore throat... Maybe some sort of a disease'' Jungkook placed his hand over the speaker. ''Damn, all the problems hit me at once'' he sighed.
''Can you do me a favor Kook? Ask him something. Something that nobody else in the world knows about you. Please'' he begged.
''Why? Why would I do that?''.
''I just have a gut and I am hoping I am wrong''.
''Fine'' he agreed, forcing himself to reminisce a childhood memory or anything for the matter. And the instant he thought of something, Jungkook returned to the call, ''dad... I was flipping through some old photo albums and all I kept on thinking was that old nickname mum and you used to call me when I was young. I must have forgotten it, do you remember it by any chance?'' he asked. A small, unsettling pause followed, a pause that somehow confirmed Jimin's doubts.
''Dad...''.
''Someone is knocking on my door Jungkook-ah. I will call you later, okay? I love you'' he ended the call and the raven haired just blankly stared at the device he was now tightly holding.
''What did he say Kook?''.
''He... he hesitated. I don't think he remembers...but that's normal, right?'' he questioned himself, terrified of Jimin's evident disappointment. '' What is happening?'' he wiped the exhaustion away from his eyes.

''I wish I knew what to say but I am in the same page as you are. All I know is that if my intuition is right I will be the one pulling the trigger of the gun. I want to see the bullet piercing his skull'' he growled and wore his boots, ready to return back to his apartment in an attempt to search for his old gun. ''Kook-ah?''.
''Yes'' he muttered, his mind still wandering.
''How did they use to call you?''. Jungkook chuckled listening to the childish question.
''Little sparkle. They used to call me little sparkle'' he smiled, his eyes glimmering with memories.
Jimin fell in love with these eyes.
Damn, he was going to destroy that vindictive, deplorable psychopath. Not just for himself. But for his beautiful boy as well.

''I had no idea what to answer Hoseok... He just got me off guard'' Namjoon bit his lip in agony. ''Yoongi will slaughter me just like he did with Jin... Oh my God Jin'' he let his tears fall for the first time in months.
''You liked him, didn't you?'' the raven haired inquired as softly as he could.
''Why does it matter now? He is dead. The only person that I ever cared for is away from me''.
''I understand'' Hoseok comforted him.
''No, you dont! You hardly have feelings'' he muttered between his tears.
''Yoongi... Yoongi is probably fucking with Taehyung as we speak. I know they don't love each other but there's this sting in my heart... Call me stupid for liking a psychopath but I can't help it'' he said in an undetone and before he could process what he dared to say, Namjoon engulfed the older in a small hug. Hoseok had forgotten how hugs felt like. Meaningful ones at least.
''I thought you had...''.
''We had sex. All three of us, Yoongi and I, Taehyung and I... I just caught feelings'' he laughed. ''I found the fact that Jimin had fallen in love quite impossible and inane. Until it happened to me... I feel so stupid''.
''Hobi... He has been messing around with all of us. We... We need to help Jimin and Jungkook''.
''I killed his father Namjoon. He is going to use it against me... And there's no possibility I am giving Yoongi in. I would rather be the one locked in jail than seeing him behind bars''.
For he didn't care about himself. He was exploiting people in his entire life.
It was time for him to pay the price fate had decided.

Jungkook was looking at the contraption with dread.
Had he written about guns in his book? Sure.
Had he ever seen one this close? Never.
''Don't tell me you have used it'' Jungkook broke the silence.
''You know I haven't. Last time I touched a gun led my sister in jail. I wasn't planning to do it again but looks like I am breaking my promise now''.
''I am... I am scared. But I want to kill him with my bare hands Jimin. I want to feel his last breath between my own hands''. The blond had never heard his lover talk like that before. Certainly, he was excusing him for his state of mind was hazy and unclear but these words shouldn't been used so freely especially during times like this. The sentences didn't scream the gentleness and suavity Jungkook used to radiate. If Jimin knew better, these saying resembled more the ones Yoongi used as threats.
''You know that we are walking right in the lion's den, right? That he might be aware that I have told you everything... That he might kill...''.
''Believe me, if I was insane I would slaughter all five of them for bringing me to my breaking point. But I won't let them harm me again. Us again''.
''And what happens afterwards? What are we going to do?'' Jimin asked with a trembling voice. He was becoming more and more human so he assumed queries like that were a natural outcome. Jungkook's expression proved otherwise.
''I don't care! And you shouldn't either. After everything you did to me, I shouldn't even be talking to you'' he threw the bullet right in Jimin's heart. The wound this mere sentence left was bigger than the real pain a bullet would cause.
''I love you. Whatever happens, no matter the result, I won't let us say goodbye to each other''.
''Grab a pair of gloves Park. I won't let them use us anymore''.

The Many Blades of Wuxia
Hundreds of years after the Heretic wars ended, life has returned to its blissful ignorant state that only peace could bring. Whilst the never-ending war between Man, Beast and Mutant rages on, most are not even aware of a war that happened between men. Its prophecies shattered, their remnants surviving only in obscure bard tales. One is about to grow. On the cracked face of the world, Essence storms and Beast Waves keep the citizenry locked atop the Emperor city of Qaelang. Knowledge of the past is as rare as the metals that flow into the hands of Sacred Artists and at the root of it all are whispers of a malignant force, ancient and terrible. Holding humanity back from achieving greatness, but hiding too are secrets best left untouched. Balance, discipline and order have held Qaelang secure since time immemorial, the powers within claiming to adhere to them. None are more fearful of change than the ones with the most to lose, but change is coming. Blade of Wuxia is a long character-focused epic fantasy with progression and growth. It's about a boy's quest to become powerful enough to save those he cares most for and give them a better life. It's set in a world of hidden pasts and uncovering them will set him on a path that shakes the Empire. As this is a rewrite that took on a wildly different spin, reviews are most welcome and help me do better. What can the reader expect? A Wuxia society set in a High fantasy world. People are only doing what they know and may have mistaken beliefs. A clever resourceful protagonist with human flaws A far-reaching hidden fantasy world, rich in history. Multiple points of view are used to follow the story to its natural conclusions, not every NPC has all the answers, but there is one MC in this book. Progression will take time and sometimes even unknowingly. MC is not trained in the ways and knowledge must be tempered against experimentation. Release Schedule. 2 chapters a week, family and work permitting. Only if I'm happy with the chapter will I release it. That being said I am open to revision should an articulated critical response show merit. This story is not completed yet but I do have a general idea of what the end looks like for both MC's (yes both) Ultimately feedback will be most influential on the progression of release as it's you guys I'm looking to entertain. Expected Changes None really, I'm writing as I go and have a path planned for 6 books Chapter release rate might change if we take off and feedback starts flowing, but for now, it is just about making sure Arcs flow smoothly onto the next. Cover, yes absolutely! If there is enough interest I will open a Patreon account and use the first proceeds to commission an EPIC cover and hopefully a few scary artworks of our brave Cultivators and the foes they face.

The Fight We Chose
