''People shouldn't be making promises they have no intention of keeping.

It hurts having hope and seeing everything getting lost in the depths of lies.

The moment you begin to fill with colors, a small and for many innocent lie

turns your whole life upside down, the rainbow of trust slowly becoming ebony.

Your promises must be solemn cause it's a bond unbreakable and with a thread sealed

for fate makes no mistakes unless people misjudge it.

Don't blacken a colorful soul.

During the darkness of our times, let's let people play with colors...''.

was sleepwalking when I was younger'' he admitted.

Facing each other on Jungkook's bed, Jimin now thoughtlessly caressing the younger's shoulders having the certainty that nobody was watching him right now, none of them could bring themselves to the point of sleeping.

''Really? And how did you overcome it ?'' the blond wondered.

''To be frank... I can't explain it. I never slept but I always woke up... it's strange. I like strange''.

''You are so weird sometimes'' the blond chuckled, running a hand betwixt his locks.

''Am I the weird one between us though?''.

''Kook, I am an open book... Oh, that rhymed'' he chuckled childishly. If Jimin knew better, he would understand that this was his real self. Only getting revealed in front of Jungkook.

''I don't think so gorgeous. I mean since you are my boyfriend I can talk to you openly, right?'' he questioned the man. Jimin stiffened and averted his gaze elsewhere, pushing his mind's cogwheels to activate, making up a new story to fool the endearing creature next to him. Somehow lying seemed like the easiest solution to his problems.

''I will answer anything you ask me too. I mean you were basically controlling my life for a while so I don't think there's more to know...''. Sorry for saying this my love.

''That's the thing. I know that what I was doing was terrible to the point I almost drove myself insane but you forgave me so easily. Like this didn't mean anything to you. If someone was controlling me and I found out I would have slaughtered him on the spot '' he claimed. Thankfully -after a guilty gaze- Jimin had created a pretty convincing storyline in his brain.

''Not if it was someone you loved'' Jimin remarked, the irony emitting from the sentence lingering between the four walls. ''You can't be possibly controlling my life by writing down notes. This is just a twisted game of fate, a game of chess where you and I are the players. Everything involves around a byzantine coincidence. So what if I am drinking two drops of rum with my tea? Tomorrow I will break my habit and drink coffee. What if the description matches perfectly, tomorrow I will dye my hair... black'' he explained.

''Everything matched though. From the right time to the clothes you were wearing...''.

''Shall I kiss you now? Maybe this way you will stop mumbling nonsense... Let's talk about something else, I hate talking about this'' Jimin pleaded and planned a small kiss on the younger's collarbones. Jimin kissed the man's lips gently, not desiring to let go anytime soon.

''Then, what about the other day?'' Jungkook wondered when their lips unlocked.

''What about it?''.

''When I had a panic attack... I swear to my life I had locked the door before I entered my place. How did you go inside if I had locked ?''. Jimin attempted to hide his concern and decided that lying wasn't the best choice now. He was going to say the truth, maybe twist it a little bit.

''I knew about the key in your jardinière...'' he admitted.

''What? How?... I have never spoken about it to anyone'' he uttered quite surprised. The thought that he had found it on the left side of his flower pot like a month ago- when he always left it on the right-, now made him question his own lover.

''I know... Taehyung had seen you hiding it there once and he told me. I just heard you screaming in the living room so I used the spare key as the last resort. I was about to search the entire pot but then I thought you must have left it on the right side. Please don't be mad, I did it for you''.

''I am sorry, I am sorry Jimin... I am just questioning everything. I mean Taehyung had never spoken to me again after an argument we had, one of my other friends Jin had never called me again... Basically, you are the closest person I have right now. And if you ever leave me just please say goodbye'' he pleaded and kissed his forehead.

''Why would I leave you? Don't you think I love you enough?''. Damn, he was so pissed at himself, the word ''love'' dripping from his mouth so easily. Where did the old Jimin, the Jimin who couldn't even say please, go?

''I just... I just feel like I love you more than you love me. And if I wrote about you again, I would only ask for one thing''.

''What would you ask Kookie?''.

''I would love to read your mind so I can see if your love for me is real. Nobody has ever been in love with me ever... and you seem too good to be true'' he hugged the man's waist, nuzzling his nose into Jimin's neck.

And Jimin's silence was enough to give him the answer he didn't want to hear. Ready to laugh at his idiocy for believing that perfection could fall for him, Jungkook sensed a tear rolling on his cheek. ''Jimin-ah... are you crying? Did I make you cry?''.

''Fuck, fuck, why are you so beautiful? Fuck!'' he cursed and kissed his face. From his jaw to his cheeks, to his nose and forehead, staying at his lips a little longer, Jimin murmured inaudible promises that he couldn't speak out loud.

''I am sorry, this wasn't my intention gorgeous''.

''Do you want me to give you a solemn promise? Do you want me to do that?''.

''No, I believe you, there's no need to promise anything...''.

''Let me promise you something'' Jimin interrupted him. He had to do this for himself. Nobody would ever find out that he made this pledge anyway. ''Whenever you need to feel loved don't ask me to make love to you cause I will have already taken that initiative myself. I will be the medicine when you are sick, my words and touches a cure made just for you... An umbrella when it rains, a blanket when it's cold. A shield to protect you and a weapon to fight inner demons, your voice in silence, your panache in pain. I will be your sunshine in the dark abyss and the hand that will guide you through life. But if I ever... if I ever hurt you, let me go and never greet me goodbye''.

''So this means that you will leave me, right?'' the younger asked, letting the melody of the blond's words turn solid in his mind so that it will linger there for eternity.

''No, I won't ever leave. But you will abandon me eventually and as much as it may hurt both of us, don't look back when you make your decision''.

''You can't say that... I won't do it. I won't ever leave you'' he promised.

''I may know a thing or two more than you on the particular topic'' he skimmed his hands over the strong shoulders of his lover.

''I have no intention of leaving you anytime soon. People don't say goodbye to the ones they love... And I was about to ask you to move in with me actually'' he finally said. Instead of feeling relieved that his plan was going great, Jimin was upset by the fact that whatever Yoongi told him came true. He predicted that the younger would ask him to cohabit.

So far Yoongi must have stolen all the ideas Jungkook had ever written on paper, making sure that the younger was now focused on his lover rather than writing a novel that would surpass his.

''R-Really?'' he smiled.

''You can always go back to your place and check how things are but since you are already spending most of your afternoons here, I decided to take the next step... You can bring your clothes, your furniture, change the decoration. Anything you want'' he murmured.

It was that moment Jimin understood how deep he had delved into the young boy's mind. His manipulation was so implausible that the boy was ready to do anything to keep him satisfied. Jungkook was so afraid that he would mess up so he tried to do everything perfect. But that's not how relationships are built... Jimin knew that first hand.

''Everything is lovely the way it is'' he guffawed. ''I just wanted you to know that this is my confession. I may give off a dark vibe but whenever I see you all the pieces of my soul are filled with light. You make me human... Don't ever forget that'' he embraced him, the familiar lavender scent, the only smell he wanted to experience for the rest of his life.

''Would you like to sleep gorgeous? It's already five o'clock and you have to get to work at nine. Damn, we did so many things today'' Jungkook grinned.

''Oh, shut up'' he punched him softly. ''May haps I won't go to work tomorrow''.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jimin woke up with nobody by his side.
Blinking his chestnut eyes, bothered by the playful sunrays poking at his cheeks, Jimin stretched now realizing that this was the brightest sun he had seen this year. Winter was about to end and now that he was thinking about it, he had spend two months by the younger's side. Two stressful yet due to the boy's frank adoration, wonderful months.
After going to the bathroom, with sluggish movements he climbed down the stairs and was met with the now familiar aroma of fresh tea and what probably smelt like a chocolate cake.
''What time is it?'' he questioned, rubbing his eyes.
''Time for work... It's eight thirty, good morning my gorgeous'' he back hugged him affectionately, receiving a smile warmer than the sun in return.
''How long have you been awake Kook?''.
''Maybe since seven? I had to bake the cake so I slept for about two hours. But I couldn't wake you up... However you need to get ready for work and I need to finish that second fucking chapter'' he cursed.
''No... I don't feel like going to work today. I will go back to sleep and you will come with me'' he whined, first surprising himself and then Jungkook.
''This would be the second time you are not going to work because of me. I get that you must be exhausted since we barely had any sleep but you need to go to your work... Here's your tea by the way'' he blew the steam away and handed the cup over to Jimin.
''I just have a feeling like something bad will happen today... And my premonitions are always right'' he stated.
''Jimin, I am supposed to be the superstitious one between us'' he joked. ''You can go to my closet and pick anything you want''.
Yet the blond was nervous. Obviously he was going to get punished for removing one more of the cameras but he didn't know what Yoongi meant by retribution. All he was thinking about now was the fact that he was in love. A sociopath was in love...
Not only did it sound stupid but also impossible.
However out of all the sociopaths in the world, one small percent was able to change. More like adjust to the world and learn through mistakes. Find a compass to guide them through predicaments. And Jimin had found his north star and east sunrise, his south wind and west wildflower.
But his sister... his poor, misunderstood sister...
Trying to neglect all the negative thoughts, he got dressed loving the sensation of Jungkook's clothes on his skin and ran back downstairs only to see the younger man sleeping on the couch. With a small chuckle, he covered the man with a blanket and left the house. His lover's house... How beautiful it sounded, knowing that you belong to someone who loves you...
He had to abscond from this whole stalemate, preferably intact.
For once his soul wasn't just black. Damn, if only he could show Jungkook how vivid he had made the colors of his heart look like...
