''Life is an eternal battle with making the right choices.

From the merest to the most complicated,

from picking a book to a job,

you are always given a choice.

That's for the lucky ones.

Cause some choose to trust the Devil in the details.

The cunning soldier on your shoulder.

The man who will convince you that manipulation...

isn't that bad of a method after all...''.

''I am Park Jimin. And I am definitely not an ordinary man''.

The moment the hand of his clock hit nine, he quickly jumped from his bed and began to unbutton his silky shirt. The ginger walls of the room were absorbing the sunlight, a thing that somehow calmed the twenty five year old down. Jimin neatly folded his pajamas and placed them exactly next to his pillow. Grabbing a towel and a new pair of boxers, the man jumped in his shower and allowed the warm water to soothe his tanned skin.

After finishing his morning routine, he rolled his hand through his blond hair and prepared himself some tea. With two drops of rum. Always.

Habits can't be forgotten that easily after all.

Jimin never thought of himself as special. Well, he certainly wasn't normal when it came to paticular characteristics but at least he was open to changes. Despite his past, Jimin thought that he was able to change for the better.

His life was anything but typical yet too typical when he presented it to others. Excellent story teller, had his way with people even if he preferred the company of a book or an instrument. Really, Park Jimin wasn't that interesting.

Yet somewhere, in the town next to his own, a twenty three year old man was writing his entire life in a novel.

''Yes dad, things are getting better... Yes, I am making progress, I had already finished the first page and now I am ready to start the second. Your voice sounds different, do you have a sore throat ?'' Jungkook asked his father. Mr. Jeon lived in Japan so their face to face interactions could be counted on the fingers of one hand. The twenty three year old had visited him five times three years ago, three times two years prior and two just one year before...He hadn't visited him yet this year but the man called him so frequently, asking about his son's health and job.

''It's going to be great dad, I have created a very interesting character and I hope my readers will love it...I won't tell you, you have to wait for me to finish it'' Jungkook chuckled and twirled his cigarette between his slender fingers. Suddenly, a small light almost pierced his eyes causing his phone to fall down.

Jungkook turned around him and observed the peculiar source of light coming from the left side of his library's shelf. Swallowing his saliva nervously, the man picked up the phone from the floor and tried to calm himself down.

''Dad, I will call you back, okay? We'll talk'' he spoke and ended the phone call. The raven haired stood up from his chair and tightened the robe around his waist. With no indication of trepidation- the only sign of fear his curled feasts- Jungkook approached the wooden furniture and his eyes scanned it from the bottom to the top. Apart from the usual specks of dust, Jungkook couldn't see anything that could produce light. He really wanted to search between the books but he decided against that idea.

Sitting back on his chair, Jungkook averted his eyes back to his bookshelves. No lights. Everything happened in his imagination.

As always.

However nothing could ruin his day. He looked back at his notes and a smirk covered his feautures.

He had to explore Park Jimin's origins now.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
''I thought we would talk Jungkook, that's the reason I visited you in the first place. But look at us! We are sitting on a floor full of scattered papers'' Taehyung whined.
''Then you shouldn't have visited me Taehyung. As you can see, I am fucking busy'' Jungkook replied back and began to search through his notes. He had barely slept yesterday night, writing pages and pages of ink. Jimin's fears, Jimin's unique traits, Jimin's past... Everything had to be perfect, just like the character he had created in his head.
''I had nothing better to do back in my place anyway'' the blond simpered and continued staring at the papers.
Kim Taehyung, the ''not so'' best friend of Jungkook yet oddly the only who actually bothered to call him once or twice. The two men were so different in terms of personality and even if that didn't bother them in the four months they knew each other, it certainly did now. Jungkook preferred to stay inside, the comfortable, domiciliary atmosphere of his place a bare necessity while Taehyung enjoyed visiting unknown places and exploring the world. The raven haired loved to write while the blond found entertainment on watching movies based on books.
Another thing that Jungkook didn't like was the fact that Taehyung loved to play the role of the innocent one, even if he really wasn't. Whenever they made a mistake and conflict was a certain, future outcome , Jungkook always was the one who got punished or blamed despite the fact that he was the younger of the two. His twenty five year old friend had always managed to escape with one way or another. However Jungkook truly knew him or at least he hoped he would.
Taehyung enjoyed good life and luxury. He never had problems when it came to money since his parents were always providing him with the best of everything. He loved his girls or his boys and lost that ''love'' in the duration of twenty four hours. He never had to work for a minute to gain anything in his life.
Taehyung was the perfect example of the saying ;''don't judge a book by it's cover''. Because underneath the thick eyelashes and mahogany eyes, there hides craftiness. Under the bisque complexion and lush lips, there lingered guile.
Jungkook wasn't really good on choosing the right people to trust or to love.
Nevertheless, he was fun to be around and Jungkook didn't hate the fact that Taehyung remembered to pay him a visit whenever he was in town.
''Who is this Park Jimin? New fucktoy? Or...new boyfriend?'' Taehyung wondered when he saw the name written in bold in all the pages.
''I could only dream... He is a fictional character Taehyung. I am writing a new book and he is the main protagonist'' Jungkook explained to the curious man.
The blond just laughed but said something extremely interesting the second after.
''It's funny how we have a man named Park Jimin in our town. I have talked to him once or twice. Good guy. Handsome may I add'' Taehyung mumbled with an evident grin on his face.
''Are you kidding me? Do I have to change the name now? Fuck!'' Jungkook pressed his lips together.
''No, you don't need to Jungkook. Chill, it's not like the name is that uncommon''.
''You are right... I mean, I have created such a unique character and so wheedling'' Jungkook began to compliment his own making.
''Don't mean to be rude but the Park Jimin I was telling you about is rather ravishing as well''.
''Oh really? And how does he look then?'' the younger of the two asked with indignation.
''Don't get mad... I have seen him only a couple of times since I am barely in town but I can't forget his features. His blond hair and his lips... Damn, I can't forget his juicy lips'' he started to drown in dreamland. Jungkook slapped the nape of his neck and woke him up from his trance.
''Did I go too far? I am sorry... haven't had sex with someone in a while'' Taehyung cracked a smile yet apparently Jungkook wasn't in the mood for jokes.
''Did you read my notes or something? It sounds like you are describing my character'' Jungkook murmured angrily.
''Are you for real? Maybe your character isn't really ''your'' character after all'' Taehyung mocked his friend.
'' I would never copy! You know I wouldn't...''.
''All I said that there is a man who fits your description and the name...I didn't say that this man is the one you are writing about. That's actually nuts''.
''What is his favorite color? What is the first thing he does when he wakes up every morning? How old is he ?'' the younger bombarded Taehyung with questions, the older raising his hands up in surrender.
''I said I have seen him not that I am fucking married to him. Chill, you are creeping the shit out of me'' Taehyung scowled at his friend.
''I am sorry, I am sorry Taehyung...I just think that this is my opportunity and I don't want to screw up again. There could be plenty of Park Jimins with plump lips and nice features'' he started to mumble, not noticing Taehyung's expression changing.
''Do you want to see him?''.
''What?'' the younger inquired and his face went blank.
''Aren't you curious? The connections are terrifying if you ask me. Juicy lips, same name, same hair... I mean it can be nothing for all I know but we have nothing to lose, right?'' the blond suggested.
''What do you mean ''we'' ? Why would you join me?''.
''There is a coffee house in our town where everyone and I mean everyone goes to. Both of the times I saw him, I saw him there. All by himself...We'll go there and drink our coffee like two normal friends and the moment he arrives...''.
''If he ever arrives...''.
''If he arrives I will show him to you. How does that sound?''.
Jungkook deduced two possible facts from Taehyung's sentence.
1} Park Jimin could be possibly a loner. Just like in his book.
2} Park Jimin might enjoy a cup of coffee. In opposition to his book where Park Jimin enjoyed the companionship of hot tea with two drops of rum.
''So ?''.
''Leave me the address of the coffee shop. Tomorrow at eight'' Jungkook proposed.
''Eight? You have to be kidding me! There's not even the slightest possibility of me waking up at eight'' the older whined.
''You better be there. It will be the first time I am leaving my house in months''.
''Fine asshole. I will wake up... Why did I even suggest this?'' he stood up and wore his jacket.
''Are you leaving already?''.
''I am going to sleep. I have to wake up really early tomorrow since one of my friends isn't normal. Oh, and please wear this jacket tomorrow'' he said and showed Jungkook which outwear seemed warmer than the rest. ''It will be really cold'' he exclaimed with a poker face and after writing down the address on a paper note he closed the door behind him, preventing the cold air from entering the house.
No need to worry Jungkook. No need to worry. The world might be twisted but it's not that twisted.
He brought his fingers on the typewriter and began to type, letting his imagination run wild.
''Park Jimin will visit his local coffee shop at eight thirty''.
He had no idea why he wrote that or how his hands pressed the specific letters.
Nice way to start the new page Jungkook.
Nice fucking way.
