Athena's POV

Sitting on the couch, I was being bombarded with congratulations. I was truly overwhelmed by all this excitement surrounding me. "Athena, thank you for coming into my son's life," Lucy said with a huge smile on her face. We were now alone on the couch and she was holding my hands in hers. "I am the one who should be feeling lucky that Max came into my life," I said and truly meaning it because he is the reason my brother will be able to fulfill his dreams.

"Oh no honey, I see the way he looks at you. It reminds me of when I got with Max's father. I know that you are going to keep him happy. I know he deserves to be happy. Thank you so much for bringing out the joy in him," she said making me utterly guilty because I know that he is just acting. Maybe I'm not because for sure I have started to develop some inevitable feelings for him. Composing myself, I gave Lucy a smile. "Lucy don't thank me please," I said trying not to show the guilt on my face. She chuckled and shook her head. "You are perfect for my son," she said as she gave me a big hug.

Lucy is such a precious lady. I felt like crying because I was feeling so guilty for deceiving her. She is so happy that her son has found someone but in reality it is all a pretense. The guilt will surely make me go insane. Suddenly, I heard an annoying high pitched voice from the dinning room which reminded me of the wrench that was at the business dinner the other day. "What was her name again," I thought to myself but was interrupted. "Oh Megan is here," Lucy said making me roll my eyes. Thankfully she didn't see.

Lucy got up and made her way to the dinning room. She called me but I told her that I'll be there shortly. Then little Axel came running to me. "Ena, can we have some ice cream," he asked me. Aurora told me specifically not to give in to his temptation because he already had his dessert. "Oh honey, we cannot have it. I'm not allowed to have it," I said and he pouted. He then ran back to the dinning room.

Shortly after, Axel came back to me. "Come with me Ena," he said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me to what looked like a guess room. "What's wrong Axel," I asked him because I was confused to what was happening. "Here I brought this for you. You can eat it. I won't tell uncle Max," he said as he took a cone of ice cream from the table and gave it to me. That little boy is so precious. "Honey did you steal an ice cream for me," I asked, amused by his act. That was just adorable. "I won't tell anyone," he said making my heart melt. Why do kids have to be this amazing?

We got back to the dinning room when I explained to him why he should listen to his parents and not go behind there backs and do the things that he was asked not to do. He was the sweetest boy I have ever met. I'm suddenly having baby fever.

When I got back to the dinning room, I saw Max and he looked at me and smiled. Suddenly I saw who was sitting next to him and it was none other than the beautiful woman with the most annoying voice ever a.k.a Megan. I scowled as I saw her so I just diverted by gaze to Axel who was sitting next to me and talking fascinatingly about his hot wheels.

I suddenly felt someone behind me. I was about to turn when the person placed their hands on my shoulders and I knew it was Max. I looked up at his face and smiled. He bent down and placed a kiss on my forehead. Oh my God, my heart is going crazy at this very moment. "Are you being a good boy to Athena," Max asked Axel as he was rubbing my shoulders. How can he have such a strong effect on me? It seems like my body goes out of control when he touches me.

"He has been a great company," I said as I grabbed Axel's chubby cheeks. As we were talking, Aurora called Axel so he ran to her. Max then took Axel's chair. "My mom loves you," he said bluntly. "Max I feel so guilty lying to her like that," I said as I looked down. He cupped my face and made me look into his eyes. "Hey stop that. You are just doing what I asked you to do," he said and I nodded. He was staring into my eyes and I just couldn't look away.

He leaned in and our lips met making me melt in his hands. Suddenly I realized that we were in the dinning room and his family was here and this isn't very appropriate. So I pulled away and he gave me a confused look. Well I was the confused one because I didn't know why he kissed me in the first place. Ignoring that, I looked around to see if we traumatized anyone.

"What was that for," I asked him with confusion flooding my mind. He was about to respond when Lucy came and started talking to us. Max why do you have to affect me so much? It's been such a short time. Athena he is just pretending for his family. You better snap out of it.

Suddenly his cell phone started ringing, he picked it up and went away to talk. So his mom started talking to me and kept me entertained. After a few minutes, he came back. "Mama I'm tired. I'm going to my room," he told Lucy and she nodded. "Do you want to come now or later," he asked me and that's when I realized that we will be staying in one room. How did that possibly not come to my mind before. "Yeah I'll come with you," I said as I got up. "See you tomorrow morning, mama," Max said as he placed a kiss on Lucy's cheek.

His room was a nice and very very big. "Was that your room when you were staying with your parents," I asked him as I looked through his shelf of books. "Yes, I always sleep here when I come," he said as he removed his shoes. He suddenly started removing his shirt. "Woah woah woah buddy what are you doing," I said as I closed my eyes. He chuckled at my reaction.

"Are you shy," he said as he laughed. I scoffed and denied. "It's fine by me if you look," he said making me scowl. I opened my eyes and saw him shirtless. My mouth dropped to the floor as I was looking at his perfect body. Oh man, I sound horrible. "You can stare as long as you want, little dove," he said making me roll my eyes. How can he be charming a few moments ago and now he is all full of himself?

"Yea right as if I want to," I said. What was that comeback? God why do I have to be so lame? "Keep telling that to yourself," he said making me get irritated. "You are so annoying," I said as I was looking at his books. "Wait you have all the books of Pegasus," I said shocked that he reads his books. "Yes I do. Plus as you know he is a good friend of mine," he said as I remembered the time I met Pegasus.

"He is amazing. I still can't believe that he gave you his paintings," I said still baffled by this thought. "You seem to really like him," he said. "Oh Max he is a wise person. I could talk to him for hours. I met him only once and he was just like I expected him to be," I said as I flipped through one of the books. "Oh interesting," he said as he laughed. "Are you laughing at me? There is nothing funny, he is my savior," I said as I remember where I was a few years ago. "What do you mean by that," he said looking curious. "Well he brought me out of a dark place with his words," I said and he just frowned.

"Just forget it. So you can sleep on the couch and I'll take the bed," I said jokingly. "Not so fast little dove," he said as he jumped on the bed. "That's my room and I'll sleep on the bed too. So just go get changed and come to sleep," he said as he made himself comfortable. I was actually joking. I'm not that cruel to make him sleep on the couch. "Okay but you better stay on your side or I'll beat your butt," I said and he started laughing uncontrollably. Oh man, look how carefree he looks while laughing. He should do that more often. "I'd like to see that. Anyways just get changed already," he said still laughing. I just rolled my eyes and went to changed.
