For a while
Clock strikes twelve at midnight
Ready for the ambush of thoughts
Whose mere mission is to cause me distraught
Just like the last battle I'd fought
Everyday
It's the same enemy
Trying to keep me at bay
The ravager I've tried to push away
How many years has it been?
This has become a daily routine
These are one-sided battles
Which I've already foreseen
Day by day
I'm losing my mind
All those thoughts roaming my mind in rewind
Welcoming the new ones who have arrived
I'm exhausted
To say the least
I'm their prisoner
Who is ceased to be released
These midnight thoughts
Eating me alive
And making me slowly deceased...
