"Adalet, welcome to Innovation Valley, land of high-tech! Here, anything is possible... as long as you're an expert in computer science!" Andrea adds, "we've got an exciting assignment today. Have you heard of Meteor Systems? They're behind many of the devices we use every day!"

"Like this one!" Hannah appeared beside the Chief wearing a pair of triangle-shaped glasses that had an attachment on top of the right lens, "hey there, Adalet! Look at my new tech glasses! With these beauties on, I can browse the Internet while talking to you- isn't that amazing?!"

"They certainly allow for a lot of multi-tasking!" Adalet remarks.

"I'm just so excited we've moved to Innovation Valley! Technology is SO advanced here! Expect your mind to be blown away, Adalet!" she says, "well, blown by human standards..."

"I'm sure I'll be amazed," she replies with a chuckle.

"Hannah, I'm sure you'll be a big help in this district, but I'll have Amy tag along for this assignment... We've been asked to supervise a party for Meteor Systems, and I don't trust Frank around booze," Andrea rolls her eyes, "Meteor Systems is celebrating the successful takeover of Drone Zone, a promising start-up. The party will be held at the Drone Zone office. Adalet, Amy will meet you at the Drone Zone office. Make sure everything goes smoothly!"

Adalet salutes, "you can count on me, Chief!"

"Hello, Adalet! Check out this hip office! Andrea told me we're supervising a party to celebrate Meteor Systems buying out Drone Zone?" Amy says as they enter the spacious office, "the party should start in a bit... We could check out the snacks while we wait for the guests to arrive... "

Adalet held out a hand to stop Amy from moving, "hold on a sec, Amy... Someone's already here and I don't like the looks of them!"

She frowns, "someone's already here? And they don't look well? Uh-oh... you know the protocol. Let's search the place!"

Approaching the person Adalet had spotted, they quickly realized it was worse than they predicted. The man was laying on the ground propped up against a beanbag chair but was obviously dead if the wads of cash shoved into his mouth were any indication. If not, then the paleness of his skin and his lifeless eyes confirmed their suspicion.

Looking around the area near the body, Adalet spotted what looked like a drone sitting on one of the glass coffee tables, while Hunter was sniffing an ice bucket that was tucked behind one of the couches.

"What the... Was this man stuffed to death with money?!" Amy exclaimed, seeing the green bills tumbling out of the man's mouth, "how dreadful! Who would kill someone in such a way?!"

"It's definitely a first for me," Adalet says, pushing aside the bills to get a better look at the man's face.

"Oh, my!" she gasped, "I almost didn't recognize him without his glasses... The victim is Ernest Turing! He is... was the CEO of Meteor Systems! People called him the "King of Tech." He founded Meteor Systems when he was in his twenties and turned it into the world's biggest electronics firm. Maybe whoever stuffed him with money was jealous of his wealth... Let's have a look at the clues!"

"Well, I found this drone," she says, going to pick up the ice bucket.

"A drone? You mean one of those devices which fly around in the air?" the blonde examined the screen on the drone, "you should try to unlock it! And this ice bucket looks like something Frank would have picked up... But if something's hidden inside, you'll find it!"

Adalet cleared off one of the other glass coffee tables and dumped the contents of the ice bucket onto it. Thankfully the table was designed with a lip on it, so they wouldn't have to worry about water dripping onto the floor. Sifting through the pieces of ice, wet napkins, bottles of beer and the odd lemon or two, they found a plane ticket. Sadly it had been in the water too long, so most of the information had washed away.

"Nice catch, Adalet! But how did this plane ticket end up in that ice bucket?!" Amy questioned, "I wonder whose ticket this is? The details are faded, but I know you'll retrieve them!"

Adalet shook some water off of the ticket before she began dusting it. After brushing along the information section of the ticket, she recovered the name and flight class of the person to whom the ticket belonged.

"So the plane ticket you found at the crime scene belongs to a certain Teresa Turing!" Adalet reads, "Turing... That's the same last name as our victim!"

"She must be his wife!" Amy guessed.

"And check out the type of ticket this is," she points to the bottom line, "this ticket was a last-minute purchase!"

"That's a strange coincidence..." she commented, "let's go talk to Teresa!"

Before going to find the victim's wife, Adalet picked up the drone. She connected it to her tablet and hacked into the device.

"Say... Could Loki hack a device like this?" Amy inquired.

"They could," Adalet confirmed, "but again, I try not to use them unless necessary in case someone questioned how I managed to hack the device."

"Oh, that makes sense," she nods, "and you unlocked the drone! And look, it's actually flying! "

Sure enough, once Adalet had unlocked the device, the drone automatically took off into the air. It hovered above the two with a soft buzz of its routers then suddenly two small guns appeared on the front of it.

Amy gulps, "what... what's happening..."

Before Adalet could answer, the drone starts rapid-fire shooting at Amy and her. The captain grabs the rookie and dives behind one of the chairs while Hunter takes cover under a table.

"AAAHHH, it's shooting at us!" Amy cries as small bullets begin pelting the chair they hid behind.

"I'll handle this!"

Peeking around the chair, Adalet and Amy saw Frank storming into the office, gun drawn and aimed at the drone. He shot off a round of bullets at the drone, destroying its hardware, causing it to fall to the ground with a harsh thunk.

"Frank, you saved us!" Amy celebrated, "but what... How did you get here?!"

"How did you know we were here?" Adalet also asked, coming out from behind the chair.

"Well, I heard Andrea talking about an assignment at a party... So I thought I'd drop by, see if there was any booze..." Frank says sheepishly, "anyway, it's lucky I got here when I did, Adalet! What the hell was that flying shooting thing about?!"

"It's a drone," she replied, picking up the slightly sparking device, "and there's a message on it: "For Ernest, from David." Someone sent this drone to our victim!"

Amy pulls out her cell phone, "let's text Hannah to see if she can tell us who this "David" is."

"I'll let Roxie know about your victim," Frank offers, stepping aside while pulling out his own phone.

"Got it!" Amy announced a few seconds later, "Hannah says the drone was probably sent by David Rosenberg, who founded Drone Zone. Drone Zone gets bought out by our victim, and that's the gift the previous owner sends him?!"

"I think a fruit basket would have sufficed," Adalet quipped, "but at least we know who to talk to now about this murderous drone! Are you good to watch the scene until Roxie arrives, Frank?"

Frank waves them off, "I'll be fine, you guys go talk to that David person!"

After searching up an address for Teresa Turing, Adalet and Amy left the Drone Zone office and headed over to her home to talk to Teresa about the death of her husband.

"I can't believe my husband is dead! This is the worst day of my life! I just can't..." Teresa sniffled after hearing the news of her husband's murder, "wait, this means I should have someone pick up his convertible from the shop. It's mine now, after all."

"Your grief is touching..." Adalet deadpanned, "We found this last-minute plane ticket at the crime scene. Were you intending to go alone?"

"Oh, that. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. My husband said I was spending too much of his money, so I booked myself an expensive flight to show him I'll do whatever I want!" she explained with a smirk, examining her sharp nails, "boy, was he mad! But he forgave me. He always did. No one can resist this face and body!"

"That's a bit narcissistic and very suspicious! So you didn't even love your husband?" Amy inquired.

"Ha! Love can't buy you dinner. Love won't take you on vacation. You can keep the love. I'll take the money," Teresa replied.

Leaving Teresa to her... Grief. Adalet and Amy continued to the address Hannah had given them for David Rosenberg's condo building to talk to him about the dangerous drone he had sent the victim.

"David Rosenberg," Adalet greeted once the young man had opened his door, "we found the drone you sent to Ernest Turing. It almost killed us!"

"Don't fret, the bullets were just rubber," David assured them, "it was a "punny" gesture; the blades represented "cutting" the budget since Turing bought out my company... . Never mind, the joke's too clever for you."

"We understand just fine, Mr. Rosenberg," Amy glared coldly, "but we don't think it's funny, especially since Turing was found murdered in your former office!"

"Murdered?! In the Drone Zone office?! That's terrible! Was there any damage to the building? I spent months decorating it!" Devid cried, clearly worrying about the wrong things.

Adalet held back a facepalm, "if I were you, I'd be more worried about being a suspect in a murder investigation..."

"I was joking! It sucks that Turing's dead. I'd never give him the satisfaction of hearing this but... he was kind of my role model," he confessed, "I'd watch him test his gadgets at the nearby park. I'd say to myself, "One day, that'll be me!" Anyway, I'd better get back to my work, Capt. Adalet. The best minds in Innovation Valley never take breaks!"

With that said, David closed the door in their face before either woman could get another word in otherwise.

"That man is horrible! If he thinks a weaponized drone is funny, he might have thought murdering Turing was hilarious!" Amy theorized as they descended the condo stairs.

"While his sense of humour could be better, he did end up helping us!" Adalet says as they reached their hummer, "he mentioned seeing the victim at the nearby park. Let's go check it out!"

Driving around the area, they found the park they assumed to be the one David had been referring to. Parking outside the entrance, Adalet and Amy entered the park and began looking around for anything that might help their investigation. While walking along the glass-like pathway, they spotted an ID badge bearing their victim's face and it had a strange black substance smeared on it.

Moving on, they noticed a rather human-shaped object slumped down on the ground beside a park bench. Fearing that they found another dead body, Adalet and Amy hurried over but their fears were quickly silenced. While it certainly resembled a human, the silver skin and obvious robotic elements clearly showed that this was not a human but a human-sized robot!

"Wow, Adalet! You found a robot! That's so cool!" Amy remarks, examining the robot, "hm, it looks like it's switched off... I wonder if there's a way to switch it on..."

Adalet kneels beside the robot, "let's see what happens if we just..."

Adalet laid her hand on the robot's shoulder and felt a small vibration move through the robot. They listened as gears started up and the robot shifted up into a standing position. Its blue eyes blinked open and took in the woman before them.

"HELLO. My name is Per-Sephone. I am at your SERVICE," the robot introduces themselves in a feminine, slightly digital voice.

"Whoa! Adalet! It's a... talking robot! Oh my... Is this thing real?" Amy wondered in surprise.

"Yes, I am REAL. Yes, I UNDERSTAND," Per-Shephone confirmed for them.

"Oh my God," she gasped, "it can understand us! We're having a conversation with a robot! This is so incredible!"

"You're taking this much better than the alien," Adalet remarked, "but yes, this is amazing!"

"If you do not need my SERVICES, please return me to my CREATOR, Ernest Turning," Per-Shephone instructs.

"Ernest Turning created you? Oh, dear. Adalet, I think we may need to... to question this robot!" Amy says, "Wait, does this mean the robot is a suspect? This is so strange!"

"It does," Adalet replies, "but we can't forget about this!"

She nods, "that Drone Zone security badge you picked up obviously belonged to our victim, his photo is on it. The question is: how did this badge end up here? Unless..."

"Unless the killer used it to get out of the office after the murder!" she theorized, "and if the killer touched this badge, they may have left this black substance on it!"

"Let's collect a sample!"

"But first," Adalet turned back to the robot, "Per-Shephone, I'm Capt. Adalet, may I ask you some questions?"

"HELLO, Capt. Adalet. Ask me a QUESTION. What can I HELP you with?" Per-Shephone inquired.

"It's so amazing to be talking to you, Per-Sephone! I can't believe Ernest Turing created a real-life robot!" Amy commented.

"I was born. MADE. A year ago. Ernest Turing is my FATHER. My creator. He is my GOD. Where is he?" the robot asked.

"I'm sorry to tell you this, but your God was found murdered this morning," Adalet answered.

Per-Shephone cocked her head, "this does not compute, Capt. Adalet. He is DEAD? He can be restored, yes? Everything can be RESTORED. Just switch him off, then on again."

"Human beings are a bit more complicated to "restore" than electronics," she responded, "do you have any idea who would want to kill Turing?"

"Everybody LOVES Ernest Turing. I LOVE Ernest Turing. This does not compute!" she repeated.

They let Per-Shephone return to the office building and turned their focus onto the ID badge they had found. Adalet swabs the black substance to collect a large enough sample for Yann to analyze.

"Great! You've collected the black substance from the victim's security badge!" Amy cheered, "we know the killer must have used this badge to exit the crime scene... Which means we'd better send that substance to the lab!"

"I'll bet your bottom dollar that your victim wasn't keen on becoming a piggy bank! There's enough money stuffed in him to buy a country!" Roxie laughed.

"Well, you'd better not be sneaking any of those bills into your pockets, Roxie!" Amy warned, wagging her finger.

"Of course... not..." she hums, smiling innocently, "anyway, the victim died from suffocation due to all the cash blocking his airways."

"So money really was the murder weapon! I've heard of people paying to have other people killed, but actually using bank bills to do the deed... that's a first!" she remarked.

"It gets even weirder. I found strange bruising at various points on the victim's body..." she points to some of the locations, "it's going to sound silly, but I'm sure the killer exerted pressure on your victim's chakras! Yoga teaches that they're energy points in your body, which regulate your mood and health."

Adalet raised an eyebrow, "okay, so that's weird..."

"And what does that really tell us about the killer?" Amy inquired.

"Well, it tells you that your killer practices yoga!" Roxie answered seriously.

"The killer practices yoga? Well, it obviously didn't keep their murderous instincts at bay!" she joked.

Adalet chuckled, "Well, while the killer is practicing their meditation, let's go check in with Yann about that black substance."

They thanked Roxie for her work, then left the morgue and headed across the station to see if Yann was able to discover anything useful about the unknown black substance.

"So I took a look at the black substance you collected from the victim's security badge..." Yann picked up the security badge, "it was black ink, the kind used in printing presses. More specifically, the kind used to print comic books!"

"You can tell that its ink used in comic books? Impressive," Adalet commented.

"You're telling us the killer passed the time reading while our victim was choking to death?!" Amy exclaimed, "Well, I guess they'll have plenty of time to read comic books once Adalet's sent them to jail!"

"What a case, Adalet! I'm still shell-shocked about the fact that we had a conversation with a robot!" Amy admits, "and the other suspects aren't the kindest people. David Rosenberg's company was bought by our victim, and David thanked him in a decidedly dangerous manner..."

"And Turing's wife was only with him for the money!" Adalet added.

"The victim was literally stuffed with bills... Could she have done it?" she wondered.

"Adalet! Amy! Turn off all your electronics immediately!" Hannah orders, sprinting into the room, "the police station's servers have been hacked! All our files could be lost! Forever!"

Adalet and Amy both reached behind their desktops and hit the emergency shut-off buttons. The three women quickly worked to turn off the rest of the electronic devices around the office, Frank's computer, tablets, monitors, and cell phones.

"What do you mean, Hannah?!" Amy asks as she powers off her phone, "are our files in danger?"

"Yes! And while I can contain the virus for a little while... If you don't find who's behind it fast, we might as well close up shop!" Hannah announced.

"Do you know where the virus came from? Or how it got in?" Adalet inquired.

She nods, "I've tracked the virus to the Meteor Systems servers; that's where it was launched into the network!"

"Wait, Meteor Systems?!" Amy cried, "Adalet, what are the odds a virus would be launched from those servers on the exact day their CEO gets murdered?"

"Not a happy coincidence!" Adalet replied, "and if it came from Meteor Systems, Then whoever unleashed this virus must be connected to our victim! Let's go to the Meteor Systems server room!"

Arriving at the Meteor Systems headquarters, Adalet and Amy entered the building and made their way to the server room Hannah had tracked as the virus' place of origin. Entering the room they looked around for clues related to either the virus or the murder.

Adalet found a circuit board that had fallen out of a server tower and was holding on by an FPC cable. Removing the circuit board, she noticed that something appeared to have been written on it, but the words were now faded. The other item of interest they had found was an old, box-shaped computer they clearly did not belong in such a high-tech room.

"Adalet, did you find anything to clue us in on who put out that virus?" Amy asked.

"I've got a circuit board and this," Adalet answered, patting the top of the boxy computer.

"Surely you don't believe this clunky computer could have something to do with it? It looks like something my grandma would use!" she argues.

"Ah, but that makes it the last thing someone would suspect," she replies, "which means it's the first thing we should suspect!"

"Well, the computer is locked, but I'm sure you'll figure out the password!" she says, "and what are those faint black markings on this circuit board?"
