《Unexpected | Baldi x Reader (Fluff/Lemon)》Chapter 1: Entrance

(( A/N Hello there everyone!! This actually started as a joke between me and my best friend but I ended up putting effort into it and it's actually better than I thought it would be, so here it is!!!

I've just moved away from my home in (your state) to the desolate town of ẗ̶̥́̿̾o̴̦̖̓̅̿w̸̬̜͛̔ṋ̵̒͗͘t̴̺̄ờ̵͚͇̽̀w̵̳̪̗̤̆̋̇͘ṇ̷̊̇͝ in p̴͈̼̑l̷̲̜̍̾̇̕ă̶͖̺͕̼͋͑̂c̸̦͉̭̽ë̷̥̫͔͊̕p̴̧̠̫̝͋l̷͔̗̒a̸̘̟͍̠̾̏c̷̗̦̓ĕ̵̯̅. There's almost nothing here. The streets lay bare except for the occasional passing car, street lamps flicker and the sky abides grey. My mother never told me why we left, she just said it was 'important'. I don't have much say in anything really, so I kept my mouth shut and accepted my new life. However, I didn't expect it to be this dreary.

The next morning, I'm rushed out of bed and shoved out the door to make my way to my new school. I stood at the corner, tapping my foot impatiently, expecting a bus or van, or something to arrive. But... nothing came. Sighing, I sluggishly made my way to the school. I wasn't given directions or anything, the town is just so empty that you can see the school from miles away.

I was already late because of the whole bus incident, but I was already too exhausted to care. A small girl in a red shirt and light blue pants stumbled towards the school. Her hair was frantic and frizzed out, and her eyes seemed to have an odd sense of emptiness. She was carrying a baby pink jumprope with her, but no school supplies. I raised an eyebrow at the odd girl.

Why is she here? She doesn't even look 10...

My mind races with thoughts of what she could possibly be doing here... until I'm thrown back into reality by a small thunk and a small, robotic sounding whimper.

I blink a few times and see that the little girl has walked straight into one of the street lights.

"Oh no..." I trail off, rushing over to her and reaching out my hand. "What happened?," I say in a small voice, trying not to scare her. She only looks around a few times and bats her hand in the air, finally making contact with mine. She turns her head to me and I get a better look at her eyes.

They're dark black and look almost blurry, like someone scribbled them out with a sharpie. A shiver runs down my spine. She can't even be human... I think to myself, trying to process all of her terrifying features.

"I hit head," she trailed off. "On the light."

I frowned and grasped her hand, helping her back up. She teetered and stepped all over the place, finally regaining her balance. She looks up at me again and tightens her grip on her jumprope."Thank you."

A small, weak smile spreads across my face. "Y-Yeah, no problem. I'm (y/n), what's your name?"

"Playtime." The girl says bluntly, fiddling with the plastic jumprope. "Playtime."

I laugh nervously and look at her in confusion. "Play...time? No, this is school time."

The girl's smile fades and she furrows her brows, saying again, "Playtime." She points a small finger at her chest and nods. "I'm Playtime."

Not wanting to cause any more trouble, I just nod and pat her on the shoulder. "Nice to meet you, Playtime. Now I have to get to class, okay?"

Playtime stands there and looks blankly at me for a few seconds and nods. Saying nothing, the odd girl turns on her heel and walks away, seemingly to nowhere.

That was... weird.

RIINNNGG!!!

My head snaps towards the building as a metallic ring sounds through the air. "No, no, no, shit!"

I tighten my grip around my backpack straps and stumble into the school building.

Great, I'm gonna be later than expected. A grunt of frustration sounds out of my throat. I slam through the doors and see... no one in the halls. My shoulders slump in slight relief. Clearing my throat, I look down the hallway. There's a fork in the entrance, a path to my right, left, and straight ahead to yellow doors. Something draws me to the center hallway. I look around as I slowly walk. There are two navy doors, both curiously labeled "99".

"Where am I supposed to be anyway..."

I hear a confident yet slow voice speaking from the door on my left, the scratching of chalk and the clicking of buttons. I reach my hand out slowly to the doorknob, mustering the courage to turn the handle and step in.

All of the chatter and activity that was once present ceased immediately. I bite my lip. This is the worst.
