The sound of my cousins' screams, forced me out of my spell. Without thinking I ran through to stairs, not acknowledging anyone at this point. A firm hand grabbed my bare forearm before I could go any further.
"Eira you can't go up there!" My father instructed with one hand holding me and the other with Aunt Linda's shotgun. "" I could hear Stevie's screams and a thud. All of us went silent as wicked cackling began. Along with the voices in my mind. '' 'Great job brother.' 'It's time for your punishment, ' "Jordan," I whispered, trying to break Dad's grip but he refused to grant my freedom.
"I need to get up there!" I pleaded, looking into his eyes. "Honey, we need you to stay here," Mom caressed my cheek while holding an ax. "For your safety." Dad nods in agreement then turns to Uncle Howard. "Howard stay here and keep Eira downstairs." Uncle Howard nodded and took my hand to drag me to the living room where I stood by Omi and Maxie. A couldn't help but wonder why the voices I heard sounded so familiar.
"Omi," Max whispered. "Hmm?" "I think all this might be my fault," Max confesses in guilt. "What do you mean?" I asked, crouched to his level. Maxie's lip trembles and his eyes start to water. "Before I went to my room, I listened to you screaming and yelling at everyone about the times when Christmas was like it used to be. You were so angry. And I heard you cry yourself to sleep. " I embraced a hug as he sobbed. "Shh, you didn't mess up, this isn't your fault, ok?" I spoke to him as Omi rubbed his back.
All of a sudden, rustling came from the kitchen. Causing Baby Chrissy to whimper in fright, Auntie tries to calm her down but it seemed pointless. "Uncle Howard?" Max mumbled underneath my sweater, holding on to me for dear life. "Shh," He hushed us, he looked at Rosie. "Rosie. Come here, girl." Instead of obeying, she cowered by my feet. Poor baby. "Useless turd." He murmurs in disappointment, before turning to us. "Alright, stay here." Before limping towards the kitchen with his loaded shotgun aimed and the ready.

After a few minutes, fussing stirred in the attic and childish giggling came from the kitchen. I felt eyes watching me from somewhere in the room. I slowly scanned the area until my gaze landed on my necklace. The ruby started to glow as it did before, Maxie looked up from his hiding spot and saw in awe of the glowing jewel. Rosie growled somewhere near the vents. "Something not right," I muttered, placing my fingers on the stone.
I gasped as my vision went dark and then returned to another place. I was standing in the middle of some sort of meadow with little snowdrop flowers scattered all around and the tree stood firm but had either little dead leaves or bare.
I looked down at myself seeing my torn pink sweater was replaced by a silky white dress with golden patterns along the ends of its long sleeves, waist belt, and skirt. The warm sun radiated the markings which matched my ruby necklace.
Before I could get into thought, whistles sounded deep into the trees, as if someone was calling me from a distance. I wandered through the field of snowdrops following the wonderful music echoing through the woods.
Stepping into the fallen pine needles that gave no pain to my bare feet. I hid behind an oak as the whistles changed to hums. I peeked out of my hiding place and spotted a cloaked young man, who was about my age, facing the tallest Elm tree I've ever seen. By squinting my eyes trying to figure out what was hiding under his messy jet-black hair.
Are those horns?
A twig snapped under my foot loudly which caused his cute, fluffy goat ears to perk up. His humming went silent. His shoulders rolled his cloak off showing a black pelt-covered goat-like torso and adorable, little tail. Quickly pressed my back to the trunk and covered my blushing cheeks. Chuckling was just a foot away from my direction as if he saw my face. It was so deep, manly, different from other men I heard.
"I was wondering when you would come." He spoke so confidently making my knees start to buckle. His hoof steps started to come towards the left side of the tree, I forced myself to circle the tree so he would move along somewhere else to search for me. Nonetheless, he didn't leave.

"Are you afraid, my dear?" He chuckled. I was confused about whether or not I should say something or run for my life. A firm, masculine hand clasped my hip preventing me to escape. I froze, feeling the hand moving up my waist. I glanced down, examining the clawed hand which gave me shivers.
"Have we met on some occasion?" I managed to say confidently, I won't allow these bold, sexy man package to sweet talk me to any of his evil schemes. I smirked knowing he was probably dumbfounded by how quickly I knew his little game. He removed his hand from my waist except that he'll back off. But he started twirling my hair with his obsidian claw.
"I've waited for thousands of years to find a soul like yours, Eira." He pulled me into his firm chest with a free hand. Holding me close for dear life and keep playing with my hair. I shut my eyes as he nuzzled my hair and neck. I was more at peace than I ever was.
What is this feeling when the chest gets tight and you want to stop the torture of pleasure but you can't?
The glorious praise ended when a woman's shriek hit my ears returning me to reality. The terrifying, cold reality.
"" I seized the opportunity to race towards the hall but turned when Maxie called my name. His face wrote with fear, begging me not to go.
"I'll come back, I promise." The last thing I said before bolting the stairs. Along with a new voice shouted in my mind.
'' A young, British man shrieked. '' The woman snarled. 'In the vents, near the upstairs hall, I think.' The new voice huffed as was I.
When entered the attic, to my horror a demonic toy angel was on top of my mother, who was laying on the floor, trying to tear her into confetti, and both Dad and Aunt Linda trying their best to stop her. I hustled myself to them and successfully managed to grab both of the angel's arms pulling her claws away from my mother while Dad and Aunt Linda held her wings.
The angel growled as I pulled her away from my mother, she scratched Aunt Linda a few times but it wasn't helping her case. Suddenly the same female spoke in my head again, but this time it was directly from the winged doll.
'Somebody help me over here, so I can tear this liar to ' "" I screamed at the killer angel. I could somehow feel her shock as I held her. Both my Aunt and father looked at me like I was a madwoman, before going back to helping me save Mom.
Dad looked at the dark side of the room and noticed a shadow moving swiftly toward us. He paled when he realized what it was. "Bear!" Dad shouted. "What?" Aunt Linda asked loudly. "" Both Dad and I yelled as a teddy bear with razor-sharp teeth bit into Aunt Linda's forearm. "" He nodded before snatching the bear by his feet. While the bear makes satisfied utters curses in Russian, I believe, as he gnaws on Aunt's arm.
Both the angel and I struggled to win dominance, maybe a toy but she had the strength of an ox. Then the angel opened her mouth revealing a worm of a tongue. Both Mom & I shrieked as the angel took advantage to lick my Mom's cheek.
Dad tried to assist us before a tin robot jumped on his back, stabbing repeatedly with scissors. "" He exclaimed.
I growled as the angel was almost winning however, I pulled back with my hips getting me and the doll away from Mom. I smirked in victory, however, it faded away when a pair of blue-sleeved arms wrapped around my waist. I turned around and saw-
