《Dazed and Confused | s. hyde》Chapter 11

School was just as boring as usual. Donna, Jackie and Fez had the next class together. Fez trying to do math wasn't something Donna was particularly excited about. Hyde and Kelso had English next, where Hyde clearly held back his knowledge because he couldn't have anyone else knowing he was secretly smart. Eric and Emma had biology together, where she would always sit next to him so that she could use his answers. They were all waiting by the lockers before going to their next classes.

"Well, I'm outta here," said Hyde suddenly.

"Where are you going?" Eric asked.

"As much as Ms Big Rack entices me, I'm not in the mood for English with Kelso," he said laughing.

"Hey!" Emma said, smacking his arm.

"What was that for, man?!" he exclaimed.

"For looking at your English teacher like that!" she responded.

"Look, I'll make it up to you. Nap in Forman's car with me?" he asked.

"Fine," she replied.

"Do I have a say in this," Eric asked, annoyed, knowing that they were going to use the cruiser for more than a 'nap.'

They both pretended that Eric was invisible and walked away.

"No doing it in my car," Eric yelled.

☀︎

Hyde and Emma were napping for all of ten minutes before they couldn't take it anymore and just had to make out.

"Just to piss Eric off, we should do it in his car," Hyde said with a smirk.

"Okay first of all, I'm all for doing it, but at school, that's a no. Secondly, doing it with me is not about pissing Eric off, it's about having the time of your life," Emma said. She said the last part smirking as well.

"Oh you're right, you're right," Hyde said. He took a break before saying. "Hey wanna do it after school to have the time of our life."

"Damn you, Steven Hyde," she said while smiling.

"I'll take that as a yes," Hyde said.

☀︎

Over the rest of the week, Hyde and Emma started taking naps in Eric's car during classes they would have together.

One day they were just peacefully napping when they heard people getting in the car.

"Eric, why are you not in class," Emma said.

"Hey, I'm a bad boy I can skip class," Eric said, not succeeding at the whole 'tough guy' look.

"What, was there a fire drill," Hyde said.

"No, I'm just a rebel," Eric said again.

"Whatever you say Forman," Hyde said.

☀︎

They were all driving, without a destination. Everyone was making fun of Eric for cutting class. Kelso called him Opie and messed with his hair.

"Hey Opie watch out for the keg in the middle of the road," Donna exclaimed.

The keg seemed to shine and glow as everyone gawked at it.

"Well someone go get it!" Hyde exclaimed.

"I vote foreigner," Emma said.

"No way, he's not strong enough. Donna get the keg," Kelso said.

"No Kelso, you get the keg," Donna said.

"Fine," he whined.

Once the keg was in the back of Eric's car, he headed straight home. Luckily it was about 3:15, so his parents wouldn't suspect anything strange about him being home since school ended at 3.

They got the keg into the basement and about five minutes later Eric's mom walked in. Hyde threw a towel over the keg.

"Don't mind me kids, just flung the laundry," she said with a smile on her face. "Oh what's that," she asked pointing at the keg.

"Oh this, this is a science project," Emma said.

"Yes, we are building a volcano," Fez said.

"Out of ice? Don't you think it might melt," she asked. She still had no idea what was happening.

"It's the scientific process," Jackie said.

"Aw well it's so darn nice that you all are helping each other," Kitty said and smiled as she walked back up the stairs.

"Forman man, your mom is God," Hyde said while patting him on the shoulder.

"What, has she never seen a keg before," Donna asked.

"Probably not," Emma said.

"In my country, a woman of that age and beauty-" Fez started.

"Okay Fez, that's enough," Eric stopped him.

"Guys, we need a place where we can actually drink the beer. Somewhere without supervision," Hyde said.

"Yeah, we also need to charge people to come in. No money no beer," Jackie suggested. Usually she's very annoying but when it comes to topics like money she's very smart.

"Yeah, wow Jackie I never thought I'd agree with you," Donna said.

"Okay now we just need a place," Eric said.

"Hey Jackie, lets go to our super secret make out place," Kelso said.

"Michael!" she whined.

"What, it's a secret. They don't know where it is," Kelso said.

"Tell us," Fez said.

"No," Jackie said, but directed it most to Kelso.

"Kelso," Emma said warningly.

"Fine, it's this place Jackie's mom shows to people who wanna buy a house," Kelso said.

☀︎

When everyone arrived, including the people who came for the party, they realised one thing.

They didn't have a tap for the keg.

Kelso quickly went to the liquor store to get one. He got one with no questions asked. On his way home, though, some jocks broke it.

Eric then went home to steal a tap from his dad. When he got back, he yelled "I stole my dad's tap!"

Eric looked down to see cops and his dad in the empty swimming pool.

"Back from the thieves," he said in an attempt to save himself.

☀︎

Hyde ended up driving Emma home in the Vista Cruiser since Red decided to drive Eric home and yell at him in the Toyota.

"Our best moments happen when you take me home," Emma said while putting her head on Hyde's shoulder.

"Yeah man, they do," Hyde said.

"Hey so um, remember that time I got mad at you over nothing," Hyde started.

"Clearly," Emma said.

"And then I told you that I love you and you said it back," he said while slurring his words.

"Yeaaa," she replied.

"Well, I got you something," Hyde said.

"I never pictured Steven Hyde as the gift giving type," Emma said.

"Does that mean I don't have to get you Christmas or birthday presents," Hyde said.

"You are such an idiot. What's my present," Emma asked.

"Well, it's nothing really. It's just before my mom left, there was this necklace that she used to always wear. And she just left it on the table beside her bed," Hyde said.

"Aww Hyde, that's so sweet," she said.

"Okay perfect, does that mean for birthdays and Christmas I can just get you old stuff and say it's sentimental. Because the whole sentimental thing worked here," Hyde said.

"I'd much prefer sentimental over something that costs any money," Emma said.

"Randall, that's perfect man," Hyde said.

Emma just laughed and Hyde passed her a necklace that tied in the back.

"Oh Hyde this is actually really pretty," Emma said. "I never would picture you as the guy to give me random presents," she said. She really was impressed with him.

"Well, I do love you Don't I," Hyde said.

"You're a softie, you're a softie," Emma teased.

"Oh shut up Randall, I'm driving," Hyde said.

Emma just layed her head on his neck and they continued talking until they got home.
