Kelty held on till the door was closed firmly behind her before a gaggle of giggles and guffaws gushed out.
"Bahahahaaa..." she cried, clutching her belly. It was just too silly a thought to ignore. And it felt good to laugh. Kelty felt as though laughs had been scarce of late, and what few were around had to be treasured and not wasted.
When the urge subsided, Kelty got on with her chores. Ezekiel needed milking, there were eggs to collect, and the quilts needed to be washed and hung.
Kelty didn't waste any time.
