《ShraMan || The Love That Was Once Hidden[Completed]》Chapter 4

"Finally!" Sumo breathed as soon as the plane landed and her feet found their way to the ground. The 9.5 hour plane done nothing to ease the fatigue that came along.
It was night time and the place had looked amazing just from the window as the pilot had announced they were landing.
Never in her wildest dreams, did she ever think she would take up an offer that would take her far away from her motherland, but it was a shot at trying to forget the memories with Shravan. It had been 3 months he had left and no news was heard from him.
No one, not even his father, knew of his whereabouts. At first when she heard about her being transferred to London, she was excited, thinking she'd meet Shravan but her excitement died the minute she recalled back to Pushkar's conversation with Shravan's friend declining his presence there.
Her family were happy she had gotten a huge offer, this way, PCT would be famous not only in Delhi but also in a city far away from India. She had made Preeta in charge of PCT who was more than happy to take over in her absence.
As soon as she got her luggage and sat in the cab that was booked by Mr Mehra, the driver drive her to the apartment that was also booked by Mr Mehra.
As soon as she got off and paid the cab driver, he zoomed off.
A new beginning.
She was a little hesitant at first for having taken up such a big step, that too in another country, but seeing her family and her freinds' support gave her the courage to take the plunge.
Her apartment was on the 12th floor and it took quite some time to reach even by elevator. As soon as she entered, she noticed it was a small yet beautiful apartment. It was big enough for one person though.
There was a little Lounge together with a kitchen as soon as you enter the house. Fabric couches lined the walls of the lounge and a modern TV stand was placed with a flat screen TV on it. A black glass coffee table was placed on the middle on which stood a tray with broken glass pieces stuck onto by cement. On the left side of the lounge was the kitchen. The kitchen had grey cabinets lining the wall from the top of the ceiling. The kitchen was quite big for one person, she had to admit, but was beautiful. There was an island in the middle where stood the four plate electric stove with an oven just beneath it. Bar stools lined the other side of the island.
She walked further in and found a door that lead to the laundry room in which a washing machine and a laundry basket was already kept beforehand.

As soon as she was done checking out the kitchen, she went back to the lounge and there was another door that lead to her bedroom.
The bedroom was quite small compared to hers back home. There was a double sized bed against the wall, and a grey pedestal on either side of the bed. Cupboards of the same colour as the pedestal lined one side of the wall and a dressing table was kept on against the wall facing the bed. On it stood a little vase filled with grey and purple stones and small lavender grey flowers peaked out of it. The room was an ensuite and that made her more than happy.
She had large glass windows that overlooked the city lights and a glass sliding door as well that lead to the balcony.
She had expected a way smaller house than this, even though this was small, but she was way happy with how it turned out to be.
She removed her night clothes from her suitcase and headed to the bathroom. The packing could be done the next day, she was damn tired!

The next day Suman woke up with a newly found enthusiasm and well she couldn't be blamed for it. It was her first day at her new workplace!
Wrapping the towel around her body as soon as she took a shower, she stepped out of the bathroom and rummaged through her clothes. Due to the cold, She had worn a pair of beige jeans and paired it up with a long sleeved white top and a dark beige overcoat. She had worn her boots and tossed a beanie in case it would get colder during the day.
Grabbing her breakfast, she walked out of the house and locked the door before entering the elevator.
"Hello my dear." A woman in about her 70s greeted Suman as soon as she made her way out of the elevator.
"Hello Miss." Suman greeted back.
"I suppose you're the new neighbour." She said in her thick british accent and Suman nodded with a smile.
"Aaah. You look Indian, are you from India?"
"Yes, from Delhi."
"I see. It is quite a busy city I must say." She laughed. "I was there a few years ago with my son who had gone for a business conference." She said as Suman nodded her head glad for having found a sweet neighbour.
"If I may ask, what are you in London for?"
"I have actually gotten a job as the head chef in one of the firms. I flew down just yesterday."
"I see. Anyway, I see you live in 1205. I live in the apartment right opposites yours. If you need any help, don't hesitate in calling for help Sugar!" She said and Suman took a liking for the old woman.

"Thank you so much Aunty."
"Oh dear me. I have been talking for so long with you and haven't asked your name yet."
"My name is Suman."
"Suman. Lovely name for a lovely girl I must say. Do call me if needed." She said and she walked off in the opposite direction.
Suman booked a cab and was soon standing in front of her new workplace.
SRE Attorneys
She felt a sense of excitement rush through her spine as well as a tinge of nervousness. She couldn't wait to enter the kitchen already!
As soon as she walked in, she stopped. She thought she just felt Shravan's presence there. Looking around her, she sighed sadly as she realized it was nothing but her mind playing tricks with her.
Had Shravan really been in London, his friend would have not lied to Pushkar. Taking a deep breath in, she walked in to meet the receptionest.
"Good day, I am here to meet Mr Rishi Mehra. I have an appointment under the name of Suman Tiwari." She informed the Blonde behind the desk who nodded her head, proffesionally, before typing something away on the computer.
"I see, your appointment is for 9:00 am. Well sir should be free in a few minutes, in the meanwhile you would care to wait in the waiting room." She said as Suman flashed her a smile.
"Miss Tiwari, Mr Rishi is available. It is the first cabin on your right." The blonde called out to her and off went Sumo to take the first step towards her new work.
After the meeting with the owner was done, she was taken to the kitchen and introduced to the staff members of the kitchen. After a little briefing with them, she started cooking her first dish. The three owners of the company would be tasting her dish, and based on their opinion they will decide on appointing her or not.
"Wow this is amazing!" Rishi and Eric exclaimed as soon as they took the first bite.
"What's going on here?" Riya asked as soon as she entered the cabin. Suman, who was actually called Sumo, was standing nervous in front of the owners.
"Food tasting. Try this, it's awesome." Rishi said as he forwarded his spoon and fed her making Suman smile looking at them.
"Suman, this is amazing. Our friend who is the co-owner of this firm, was supposed to taste your food as well, but he has an appointment with his optometrist. But I'm sure he will love your food. So I hereby appoint you as the headchef of SRE Attorneys." Rishi said as he done a handshake with Suman who was extremely happy hearing the news.
"Congratulations and Welcome." Eric smiled at her as he shook hands with her.
"It's amazing! Congratulations Suman, you deserved it." Riya beamed at her as she continued digging in the dal.
"Just remember one thing, you are in charge of both Indian and Western Food. I'm sure you'll outdo yourself everytime we eat your food." Rishi said as Suman nodded her head.
At the same time, Shravan had just entered the building and he too could feel her presence. Deeming it to be his mind playing tricks with him because he's missing her, he shook his head with a smile and walked in with his employees greeting him one by one as they stood up. Nodding his head, he unbuttoned his coat as he entered Rishi's cabin.
"What did the doctor say?" Eric asked as soon as Shravan plopped on the couch that overlooked the city.
"Nothing, this was just a routine check up." Shravan pointed out.
"Huh, nice way of extorting money." Rishi commented as Shravan shrugged his shoulders clearly not denying it.
"Anyway, what did you'll think of the new chef?" Shravan asked, still unaware of who the chef was.
"Yeah dude! She's too good yaar." Riya said.
"It's almost lunch time and I would be introducing her to the rest of the employees. I'll introduce you to her one time then. I'm telling you, her food is scrumptious, you'll fall in love with her." Rishi said making Shravan roll his eyes.
"As if." He muttered.
"So guys, how's the food?" Rishi asked his employees as they all sat in the cafeteria munching on the delicacies prepared by Suman.
Rishi was more like a friend to his employees than a boss. Obviously, during office hours, he would put on the mask of a boss at work, but now since it was lunch break, he interacted with his employees like a friend. In fact, all three did. In their opinion, it made their employees more comfortable and straight forward when communicating with them; two traits needed immensely by a lawyer.
"It's amazing!" A few had said at the same time while the others nodded their heads in agreement.
"Well I'm glad you'll like it. We have appointed a new chef in our kitchen, and she had prepared this food. Let me introduce you'll to Ms Suman Tiwari." He said as the employees clapped their hands at her excellent cooking.
Shravan, who just came from the bathroom still didn't know about Suman being employed.
He walked to where Rishi stood there with Suman, and as soon as their eyes fell on each other, their eyes widened in shock.
