《Concealed Identity (Kageyama x Hinata)》Chapter 6

All the teams begin making there way inside the gym including ours. Me and Suga go to our teams court while the other teams make it to theirs. Our team walks in a little exhausted from staying up so late yesterday due to me and Kageyama going missing. I feel some guilt in my gut but it quickly goes away when they all come up to me scratching my head like they used to.
"Ready to win small fry?!" Tanaka says making me smile. Telling them is so much better than hiding it. I look around for Kageyama and again see the same thing. Him missing. My heart begins to feel a little heavy as the feeling of guilt comes back just not for the same reason. I shouldnt have said those things. . . I might have hurt him.
We begin to prepare for our first match. Today we will be going against Nekoma until we have to leave back to our little town. After about five minutes all the teams prepare for their first practice matches. As we all bow before our opponents we hear a large door shut and footsteps come racing across the gymnasium. As we lift our heads I feel a rush of air sweep aside me landing at my side along with a pair of shoes.
"Sorry I'm late guys." I lift myself up looking to see Kageyama bowing at us and our opponents. Suddenly my whole body begins to shake in fear but my heart races. He looks at me dead in the eye and bows.
"I'm sorry Shoyo Hinata. Id be honored if you let me fight alongside you." He holds his bow squeezing his eyes tight. He clenches his fists trying to stop them from shaking. I kneel down and smile up at him.
"Ahhh, The Great King bowing before a simple girl like me, hehehehe. Your making me blush." I giggle along with everyone breaking out laughing. He quickly jolts up looking away while holding a strange face.
"Yeah whatever, your still a dumbass." He looks at me for about a split second before clutching his fiats tighter.
"Come on guys! Lets show these pussycats how to play!!!" Nishinoya yells looking at Nekoma on the other side of the net. We all prepare in our position with fire in our eyes and hearts.
"We will never lose to you again!!!" I yell at the top of my lungs making the other teams stop mid play just to watch us. The match is intense. So many different emotions flow between us as a team. Its like all our worriea are being washed away one by one everytime we receive, set, and spike the ball. Slowly we become lighter, we jump higher, we grow stronger. It doesnt matter what I am, we are a family. WE ARE ONE. I jump above the net spiking the ball down as hard as my body possible can. I use every muscle to lunge my palm directly at the ball making a loud smack repeated by another as the ball hit the ground.

"They are no longer a demon and his spiked club. . . but a demon and a demon." There coach mumbles.
I clench my fists as my feet hit the ground once more. Heat fuels my body. The anxiety numbs out any tiredness I can possibly feel. As we serve and they send a strike back, its caught quickly by Daichi. We prepare for an all out attack for the final point. As we all take our turns bounding high into the air, adrenaline in our veins. We scream out.
"KARASUNO FLY."
After that match, we continued over and over winning each time. Every time winning with a bigger gap and ending with a gap of up to 25-17. The matches today have filled us with the one thing we were missing, knowing we always had each others back. Knowing we can trust each other 100%. Knowing we are a team and nothing will come between us. Kageyamas sets were spot on reaching the peak every time improving our team as a whole. We had fire, passion, and love. So many feelings flowing from one of us to another. On the very last set, instead of Kageyama looking at the ball, he looked at me dead in the eye. I could tell what he wanted to say based on his look.
'make this one count.'
After that final match against Nekoma, the mood between each of us had changed. Its like we had grown closer like a real family. Like what had been going on was just a small fight and we resomved it becoming stronger together right after. Tanaka and Nishinoya were trying to talk to our manager while Sugawara and Daichi were walking to the bus holding hands and talking about the match. Where we went wrong and where we were right. Kageyama walked behind us all slowly. The darkness that had been looming off of him had completely dissapeared and he seemed at ease now. But you could tell its not how he really felt. His body was tense, his knuckles clenched inside of his pockets.
I tap on Sugawaras shoulder and whisper telling me id catch up. He smiles nodding his head and turns back to Daichi. I think Daichi already knew the situation for his lack of facial expression when I laid the truth all out on them. . . well. . . when Sugawara did. I turn back waiting for Kageyama to catch up. I dont know what I'm going to say or if I should say anything at all. I dont want to make things worse but I dont want things to stay the way they are. He stops just 3 ft away from me looking down at his feet. He clenches his teeth and fists uncomfortable.
"Kage-" I begin but am quickly cut off.
"I WILL NOT APOLOGISE FOR MY ACTIONS ONCE MORE. I KNOW IT WAS WRONG OF ME TO RANT ABOUT HOW IM HAVING IT HARDER WHEN I DIDNT KNOW WHAT YOU WERE GOING THROUGH. . ." He takes a big gulp, I'm guessing to hold back tears. I dont need to hear him beat himself up. I cant see this. I grab his shoulders and push him back making him raise his face slightly towards me.

"You arent used to having others help you, so you didnt know what to do in the situation and you did the one thing youve been used to all this time!!! Buileing up your walls and protecting yourself! But you dont have to do that with me Kageyama." I clench my fist and throw a hard punch at his shoulder.
"YOU CAN TELL ME ANYTHING!" I yell with a tear streaming down my face. My knuckles burn from the impact and he just looks back down.
"The one thing I will always regret though. . . I am sorry for leaving that on your face. . ." huh? I reach for my cheek remembering him punching me. I wince at the pain dropping my hand and smiling.
"No problem. I'm a tough girl." He lifts his head noding slightly.
"No more kwwping stuff from me shit head." I nod my head bringing a full hearted cheerful smile across my face.
"Come on guys! We have to leave now!" Daichi yells from inside the bus. I look at Kageyama fiercly in the eyes.
"Imma beat ya there!!!" I press my sole against the ground thrusting my weight forward towards the bus. He follows right behind me. Now that I can breath perfectly fine, I feel like I'm flying. There is no way he will be able to keep up with me now! I jump on the step tripping and stumbling back down.
"Ow!" I say clenching my teeth. He reaches out a hand making my heart skip a beat. I grab it and he gently lifts me off the ground.
"Pretty good for a girl." He says while walking onto the bus and sitting in the same spot we had sat in when coming here. I head back to sit across from him. I catch him glancing over at me as the bus begins to move and when he sees my eyes on his he just drops his facial expressions.
Suddenly we hear someone yelling while running up the side of the bus at full speed. Its that one boy from the store yesterday. I yell at the bus driver to stop the bus and hang my head out of the window.
"Yes Hoshiumi Korai?!" I yell. He runs up against the window and his facial expression takes a full 180. He looks fierce and scary.
"I meant to tell you this is camp but I was late running the store. I am the closest tiny giant so try all you want but I WILL shut you down." He smiles nodding off to his team full of tall players. What. . .was. . .that. . .?
"WELL GUESS WHAT! YOU MAY BE THE CLOSEST BUT SOONER OR LATER, I WILL BEAT YOU!!!" I yell sticking my body outside the window. I accidently lose balances sliding out of the window. I almost flail completely out before feeling hands grip my waist. I yelp looking back to see Kageyama face blood red and his eyes shut tightly as he looks away. He carefully pulls me back inside the bus and opens his eyes while heading to sit back in his own seat. Tanaka and Nishinoya run up to my window yelling at Hoshiumi Korai as the bus begind to run again. Daichi and Sugawara pull at them both as they trample me in my seat. When they finally pull Nishinoya off, Tanaka reaches for the edge of my seat but misses grabbing my thigh tightly pushing himself up.
"AHHH! TANAKA!!!" I scream in embarassment slapping him and shoving him away. He just stands there dumbfounded and eyes wide looking at his hand. He stumbles while walling back to his seat silently. Sugawara apologizes for the inconvenience and heads to sit back down with Daichi. What is happening today I wine in my head. I rest my head against the back of the seat in front of me. I look over at Kageyama who sits looking up with his eyes closed. He looks calm and peaceful. Something thats rare to see in him. His face looks relaxed and not tensed up like normally. I want to ask him how things went with his father and how he felt about the things going on but. . . I dont want things to be as abd as they were after our argument. He apologised and all but I still wanna know if he sees I'm here for him. Thoughts keep racing through my head about him and things that were happening today until I'm ripped from my own head.
"Hinata?" He says. I turn to look at him metting his eyes.
"Oh-uh, yes?" I reply.
"Can you please come sit by me? I uh, wanna talk to you." He pats his seat then looks back up closing his eyes gently. I head over sitting in the seat next to him figeting with my fingers in my lap. I look down at my legs having not covered them with the sweat pants. I just threw my jacket on. I watch as Kageyama reaches over grabbing my hand.
"Hinata. . ."

A Wheel Inside a Wheel
Two brilliant young me, Reinhard von Musel and Yang Wen-li, are forced to flee the countries of their birth and become refugees on opposite sides of a century long galactic war. While they both struggle to adapt to their new lives, their obvious talent propels them to the forefront of the war. Their choices will shape their adoptive homelands forever, and their clash will decide the future of the galaxy. This story is broken up into volumes, each following one half of the conflict. You can read them in chronological order, or you can follow just Yang or Reinhard. See individual descriptions below. Part One - Speaking in Tongues When Yang Wen-li’s father dies, the only thing that he inherits is a mountain of debt, which can only be paid off with fifteen years of his life. Wanting to escape that indentured servitude, Yang flees his homeland and takes up a false identity in the Galactic Empire, a hyper-stratified society where stepping out of line is punishable with imprisonment or death. Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. When tensions at the school boil over and several of Yang’s classmates attempt to murder him, Yang finds an unlikely ally in the top student in the class: the aloof Oskar von Reuenthal. But Reuenthal and Yang both have secrets, secrets which could destroy both their lives and their newfound friendship.
