《Will You Love Me? (A Medieval Reylo AU)》ƇӇƛƤƬЄƦ 65

Moments later, Rey stepped out wearing a shirt and skirt that she had worn when she worked as a servant. It certainly wasn't the nicest thing she owned but it was comfortable and served the purpose that she needed.
Ben looked at her as she emerged. Her new outfit wasn't as beautiful as the velvet gown she had been wearing, but to him she was just as beautiful now as she had been five moments ago. He was honestly relieved to see her looking like herself again, the blue blouse and brown skirt looked more like the kind of clothes that she liked to wear than the red dress that she never would have chosen for herself.
Right now what he wanted more than anything was spend time alone with her, just hold her while they talked for hours and hours. He imagined staying up late with her, sharing their secrets, their dreams, their fears. There were so many things that he wanted to ask her...what had happened while he was unconscious. But he also wanted to know what she wanted their future to be like so that he could make her happy, he would move out of the castle to a small cottage if that was what she wanted. They loved each other very much, and he knew her, but he wanted to know more about her. Sadly since they'd gotten married he hadn't had as much time for the kinds of long talks that he wanted to share with her.
Rey sat down on the bed next to him and he opened his mouth to speak, but he wouldn't have a chance to even say one word as the doctor came in.
The doctor took out his medical kit, he looked at Ben. "Can you hold her, your highness?"
Ben nodded, laying down and cradling her in his arms. He snuggled up against her and laid his head on hers. "Gladly," he breathed in her ears.
Rey was blushing so hard that she feared the doctor would assume she had a fever.
"May I take a look at it, my lady?" the doctor asked.
Rey nodded and he pulled her shirt up slightly, exposing a small portion of her stomach
The doctor cleaned the wound, then he prepared mixture of herbs and water. "Drink half of this, it should help with the pain a little."
She drunk half of the greenish liquid then passed the glass back to the doctor.
"Are you ready?" he asked her.
She wanted to say "no" but she knew that it had to be done, and she just wanted it to be over. She wrapped her arms around Ben, holding him close for comfort then nodded.
She let out a soft cry as she felt the needle pierce her skin. The medicine did cut the pain down a little, but not completely.
Ben squeezed her tighter not to keep her still but rather to comfort her.

She gripped the back of his shirt in tight fist, she was strong but this had to be one of the worst physical pains she'd ever felt. It wasn't nearly as bad as those moments when she thought that she had lost Ben though.
He leaned down and began covering her cheeks and her neck with soft kisses to distract her from the pain. It worked, his touch distracted her from the pain. It felt wonderful and she suddenly realized that if not for the pain she was feeling she would never know his arms around her or the touch of his lips again. If she hadn't done what she had done, she would have lost him; it was worth all of the pain in the world just to be in his arms.
She felt her heartbeat calm down as she thought about that. She closed her eyes forcing herself to blockout the feeling of the needle and thread being pulled through her tender skin. Instead she concentrated on every gentle touch that Ben was giving her; the way he gently rubbed her back to soothe the pain away and kissed her tenderly.
The doctor finished his work, then bandaged the wound. He smiled at the way Ben was trying to comfort her.
The doctor looked at Ben. "Your turn."
Ben groaned, not wanting to do it. "Is it necessary?"
The doctor looked at him as if he had just asked him the most ridiculous question.
Rey leaned over to him and whispered into his ear. "It's my turn to hold you...to comfort you."
Ben kissed her cheek, giving in. He did like the thought of her holding him, even if it did come with a little pain. He sat up and pulled his shirt off, then he felt Rey pull him down into her lap. She got him into a comfortable position, then she began to gently stroke his hair.
The doctor handed Ben the glass.
Ben looked at it distastefully. He took a sip of it and grimaced, handing back to the doctor.
"You didn't drink it?" the doctor asked.
"I would rather deal with the pain than drink that," Ben replied.
"Very well," the doctor replied.
Ben relaxed and laid his head back against Rey's chest.
The doctor smiled. "The first time I did this your wife held your hand the whole time, you seemed to relax when she spoke to you."
Ben smiled, but it was quickly replaced with a grimace as he felt the needle pierce his skin. "Can you hold my hand now?" he whispered.
Rey smiled at him affectionately. "Of course sweetheart." She reached down and grabbed his hand, intertwining her fingers with his. She felt him squeeze her hand every time the needle pierced him, and she gently brushed her thumb over his hand to soothe him. And when he seemed to be in the most pain she would bend down to give him a soft kiss as he had done for her.

When the doctor had finished with his stitches, Rey turned to look at him. "Can you check Ben's legs? He's having trouble walking."
"Of course," the doctor replied. He rolled up the legs of Ben's trousers and checked both of his legs carefully.
Rey grimaced slightly at the sight of his left leg which was the one he had been limping on. There was a nasty looking bruise on his calf.
"Nothing's broken, but it will take time to heal. You should try to stay off of your feet as much as possible and keep this leg elevated."
Rey nodded. "I'll make sure that he does."
"Both of you drink this," the doctor passed Rey another cup of greenish water.
"What's in it?" Ben asked cautiously.
"It's a mixture of herbs, it's to keep your wounds from getting infected, and to help them heal a little faster. But I do have to warn you that it will make you a little drowsy," the doctor replied. "You have to drink this one, your majesty."
"I'll go first," Ben offered.
Rey passed the cup to him gratefully.
Ben took a small sip. "That's disgusting," he complained.
"Drink half of it and give the rest to your wife," the doctor said, ignoring his complaint.
Ben forced down a few more swallows, until half of it was gone, then he passed it to Rey. "I'm going to warn you Rey, that's one of the nastiest things I've ever tasted. It's ten times worse than the last one."
She took a sip of it. "It's kind of chewy and really bitter, but it's definitely not the worst thing I've ever tasted," she drunk the rest of it.
Ben looked at her as she seemed unbothered by the nasty medicine. "Then what is?"
She grimaced. "You really don't want to know, honey."
"Yes I do," he replied.
"Living on the streets I had to eat what I could get...moldy bread, fruit that had started to spoil. And on a few occasions when I got lost in the woods I had to eat some pretty nasty bugs. Actually the nasty things I ate outweighed the delicious things that I ate at that time," she replied. "Good food was hard to come by."
"I'm sorry Rey. I wanted to take you with me so that I could take care of you to make up for you know...everything I did... but I was afraid that Snoke would hurt you if I did," he answered. "I should have..."
Rey shushed him gently. "You are taking care of me now." She kissed him gently. "God has a reason for everything, even the bad. Have you ever thought about it...if even one part of our past was different, we might not be together now, and even if we were would we be the same people we are now? Every moment of our lives shapes us into the person we will be in the future. Speaking for myself I think that the person your past shaped you into is wonderful and beautiful."
Ben locked eyes with her, moving a stray strand of hair out of her face. "I feel the same about you, but I'm still sorry. I love you."
Rey smiled. "I love you too."
Ben looked at the doctor, shyly. "I'm sorry that you have to hear all of this."
"No, no, I don't mind. I think it's sweet. I care about both of your health, and that includes having a healthy relationship with each other," the doctor sighed. "Actually it just makes me miss my wife more. I always come home every night unless there's an emergency, then I send her a message. She must be worried sick."
"Then perhaps you should get back to her," Ben said.
"Yes, I should. You should get plenty of rest for the next few days, and don't do anything too strenuous unless you want me to have to restitch your wound again." He looked pointedly at Ben.
"No, no, definitely not," Ben answered.
"I'll come back to check on you soon," the doctor said, turning to leave.
When the doctor left Rey moved from where she was sitting behind Ben and sat at his feet. She began gently massaging his injured legs, hoping to help his muscles relax a little.
"I'm not hurting you, am I?" she whispered.
He shook his head. "Thank you, Rey."
"You did the same for me, it's my turn to take care of you," she replied.
He sighed and closed his eyes as she gently rubbed her hands across his bruised skin. He could feel his muscles loosening and relaxing.
Rey grabbed one of the extra pillows and put it under his leg to keep it elevated. Then she laid down on the bed next to him. She was already starting to feel drowsy from the medicine.
Ben rolled over to look at her. "Rey...can we talk?"
She turned over to face him. "Yes. What do you want to talk about?"
Ben smiled to reassure her, she looked concerned and he realized that by how nervous he had said it she probably thought that it wasn't something good. "Everything," he whispered. "I want to know everything about you."
Rey smiled. "That sounds nice. You're the only person that I feel comfortable sharing everything with, and I want you to feel comfortable sharing everything with me too."
"I do," he kissed her hand.

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character.
