𐒡noke's former soldiers had attacked the main gate of the castle, causing widespread panic among the ranks of Snoke's army who guarded it. Most of them had left their post and moved to the main entrance to try to stop the attack. The fact that the attack was coming from warriors who were supposedly on their side, only caused more confusion and panic.
While the guards were distracted, Ben led Rey, Finn, Rose, Poe, Luke and his students through a side door.
Ben was relieved to find that it was unguarded and they managed to slip through unnoticed. Once they were in the hallway, Ben turned to the oldest of Luke's students, James. "I need all of you to split up into groups of two and search the halls for guards... there shouldn't be many. Knock them out and then tie them up. Once you've searched an entire corridor, meet back here."
The boys all nodded their understanding.
"James, can you take a head count before everyone leaves and make sure that everyone is accounted for at the rendezvous?" Ben asked.
"Yes, your highness," James replied.
"Everyone else, follow me to the dungeon," Ben said looking at the others.
They nodded, drawing their swords. Then they followed him down the hall towards the dungeons.
When they reached the door that led to the dungeon, Ben stopped and the others halted behind him. He peered in through the door which was cracked open. He could see two guards standing near the entrance.
"Two guards," he whispered.
"We can take them," Poe replied.
Finn nodded.
"I'll go first," said Ben.
"I don't know," Finn said. "It could be a trap... what if there are more than two."
Ben nodded, seeing his point. "I'll go look and give you signal if it's clear." He took a step towards the dungeon.
Poe grabbed his shoulder. "No, I'll go. The future of the kingdom is in your hands..."
"Poe... this isn't a suicide mission, I'll be fine."
"I'm not taking any chances... Rey loves you, I'm not going to let you do something stupid and get yourself hurt," Poe replied.
"So what... you're going to do something stupid?" Ben asked.
Poe smirked. "That's my job... besides if I get hurt or killed I won't have a heartbroken wife worried sick over me." He looked meaningfully over at Rey, then he walked towards the door to the dungeon before anyone had a chance to stop him.
Poe peered inside the dungeon. Then he motioned for them to follow.
They all walked quietly towards the dungeon, and slipped inside. The guards turned to look at them, surprised by their sudden appearance.

Poe, Finn, Ben and Rey drew their swords and pointed them at the guards.
"Give us the keys," Ben ordered.
"Yes, Master Ren," one of the guards replied, handing him the keys.
Ben took the keys and moved past the guards, with Rey following him closely. He gave one of the keys to Finn, who began to unlock the cells, most of which contained the members of the royal council.
Ben looked in each of the cells until he finally found the one that contained his parents. He placed the key in the lock and turned it. The cell door opened and he ran to hug his mother.
"Are you hurt?" he asked her, concerned.
"I'm fine Ben," she answered. "I knew that you would come for us."
Ben released her, offering her a warm smile. She smiled in return, and Rey knew how happy she was to finally see her son smile again.
Ben placed his hand on her back and gently pulled her forward so that she could be reunited with his mother. He wanted her to know that she was a part of the family and didn't have to stand back and wait. Leia was just as much a mother to her as she was to Ben.
Rey smiled at him, then turned to smile at her mother-in-law who pulled her into a hug.
"Rey I'm so happy for you and Ben, I haven't seen him smile this much since he was a boy and I never seen you smile so genuinely. You're so beautiful when you smile," Leia said. "I had hoped that you would make each other happy."
Rey beamed at her. "You were right."
Ben nodded. "Thank you for bringing us together."
Leia smiled and touched her son's cheek.
Ben and Rey hugged her one last time, then they stepped aside to allow Luke to greet his sister.
Luke hugged her tightly, before placing a kiss on her forehead.
"What happened... where have you been?" she asked.
"I was being held prisoner at the academy by Snoke's troops."
Ben and Rey went over to embrace his father.
"Thank you for coming for us," he said.
Ben nodded. "How did this happen?"
Han opened his mouth to reply but was cut off by Edward who emerged from the cell next door, as Finn opened it. "I'll tell you how it happened! You betrayed us!"
Ben looked at him confused.
"You told us that Snoke's army was gathering in Mustafar, but they were moving to attack the castle. Most of our troops were gone to Mustafar, leaving the castle practically unguarded and an easy target for Snoke's order. And then you happen to leave during the attack. You are in league with the enemy! You planned this!" Edward yelled.

"Then why is he breaking you all out?" Finn defended him.
"If you think I'm leaving with this traitor, you're mistaken. He could be leading us to our deaths. He is Snoke's spy!"
"He is not a spy!" Rey yelled. "He got the information from two of Snoke's commanders who gave him a letter from Snoke. I saw the letter, and I saw them give it to him myself."
"Yes, but how do you know that he hasn't been conspiring with the enemy?" Edward asked.
"Because..." she began, looking at Ben. "...he's been with me the whole time. We haven't been apart. He spent every moment of the day with me, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to without me noticing. Besides, we left under the king and queen's command, and we brought back more soldiers to stop Snoke."
Ben smiled slightly at her, both because of the trust that was growing between them and because of the memories of all of the time they had spent together... even if some of it had been hard.
Han ignored Edward's claims and answered his son's question. "Snoke came here with his army and attacked the castle. He outnumbered our forces and eventually managed to infiltrate the castle walls."
"Snoke is here?" Ben asked surprised.
"Indeed he is," a deep menacing voice replied.
Ben turned to see the burnt, deformed man who had once been his master enter the room. Behind him were ten armored knights.
"Well done... Kylo Ren. I knew you wouldn't fail me," Snoke said. "The throne is mine now. Alderaan is mine now."
Everyone turned to look at Ben betrayal in their eyes. He couldn't even bare to look at his mother, she seemed so heartbroken. How could he deny it after what Snoke had said? Ben looked at Rey, there was still affection in her eyes as she looked at him, but beneath it was concern and fear. He knew that she must truly love him to not look at him with hate in her eyes in this moment. But he could see the tears in the corner of her eyes and that hurt worse than her anger would have.
She didn't know what to think, she would love him no matter what. But she was afraid that he really was a traitor, that even his love for her had been a lie. "Ben?" she asked in a whisper, almost begging him for the truth. She wouldn't believe it unless it came from his mouth.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.
Rey looked away as tears stung her eyes.
"Lock them up," Snoke said gesturing to Finn, Rose, Poe, Luke and everyone they had freed.
The knights moved forward and began to aggressively push them into the cells, locking them up. Two of the knights moved toward Leia and Ben stepped over to intervene. "Don't hurt my mother!" he yelled, pulling them away from her.
Leia gently placed her hand on his shoulder. "It's alright, Ben," she said, stepping into the cell. Han followed behind her.
Ben watched as the cell door closed, then he noticed that three of the knights were attempting to drag Rey into one of the cells. Rey was putting up quite a fight about it and their attempt was quickly becoming more violent. One of the knights struck her across the face while the other two held her arms so that she wouldn't be able to retaliate.
"Don't touch her," Ben yelled. He punched the knight that had struck her, then pulled her away from the other two knights, holding her protectively in his arms.
Rey looked up at him, a bit surprised. But in her heart she knew that even if he had betrayed them, some things weren't a lie. How could she even think that he didn't love her?
Ben gently placed his hand on her cheek. "Are you hurt?" he whispered, looking at the red mark left by the knight's strike.
Rey shook her head, she wasn't seriously injured but she would have a few bruises. She didn't dare to tell him that though, knowing that he would probably start a fight with the knights who had caused it.
Just then the knights attempted to pull her from Ben's arms. Ben held her tightly against his chest. "If either of you hurts my wife again, I will not hesitate to kill you."
"Your wife?" Snoke asked.
Ben glared at him.
"Not her," Snoke ordered the knights. "Ren and I have some things to discuss in the throne room and I want her to be present."
"Yes master," the knights replied.
"Take her," Snoke ordered all of the knights.
All ten of them went over and pried Rey from Ben's arms, pushing him to the floor. They pulled Rey out of the dungeon and into the corridor.
Ben stood quickly and hurried to follow them. "Let her go!" he yelled.

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.
