《MLB Medieval Diaries》Le Fin

Adrien's mouth transformed into a small smile as he continued to work on papers. The sound of tiny footsteps running down the hall grew louder as the person neared. A few seconds later, heels tapped on the hallway floors and echoed off the walls.

"Emma? Get back here!" Marinette's voice called.

Silence for a few minutes- and then the sudden shriek of a small girl.

"Found you!"

Two boys entered the hall: Hugo and Louis.

"Haha! Yes!" the larger boy, Hugo, triumphantly cheered.

"Not fair! You had mama on your side" the girl pouted.

"It's ok, Emma. Next time we'll catch them easily" Marinette comforted her daughter.

'Time for a break', Adrien thought, and he joined his family outside his study.

"Oh! Sorry, Adrien. We didn't disturb you, did we?" his wife spoke apologetically.

"Of course not, ma chérie," he began while lifting his youngest child, Louis, into his arms. "I needed a break anyway. And what a better way than to see my favorite people."

Louis giggled, "Papa! Can you play with us?"

"Of course, mon fils (my son)!" Adrien smiled.

It had been almost 9 years since the pair got married. They had Hugo a year after that, making their eldest 8 years old, their daughter, Emma, 6 years old, and their youngest, Louis, 5. When they got married, Marinette's parents gave the throne to the new couple, and Adrien's parents did the same. However, since the distance was too big to rule both effectively, his father continued to rule under Adrien's name. Adrien's mother had stayed to help Marinette during the pregnancy of all three children, and then decided to move into a nearby cottage in a peaceful meadow. She still came to visit a lot.

The Dupain-Cheng kingdom was still the greatest supplier of bread and pastries, and the Agreste's still supplied clothes. They still continued to be the greatest starters of fashion trends.

Sometimes, crimes, fights and other problems would arise in nearby villages, to which Adrien and Marinette would have to sneak out carefully. For awhile, the two had trouble with this, as their children were very small, but they learned to be comfortable with entrusting maids to help.

They had recently had a visitor: Master Fu. He had shown up for the first time in forever, Marinette had met him once and Adrien was meeting him for the first time. Surprisingly, he had aged, his hair was overwhelmingly white and the way he moved was slower, but it only made him seem wiser. He had informed the king and queen that he had given two miraculouses away: the turtle and the fox to their friend's Alya and Nino. He said he felt better entrusting them with friends because the four already had a close bond, eliminating more stress than needed. The wise man met the three little royals and told them great stories of superheroes before he left.

Speaking of Alya and Nino, their two best friends had a daughter who was turning eight the following year. She had a close friendship with Hugo, the four parents 'awwed' whenever they saw the two together.

Life was peaceful and happy. Marinette couldn't have asked for anything more, and neither could Adrien. They had children, a happy and loving kingdom, family, friends, and each other.

The pair, cat and bug, stood in the doorway. They watched their children run and play. The day gave a peaceful aura, a light gray sky filled with clouds and great view of green hills and mountains. Tiny figures of people could be seen in the village. Marinette felt immensely lucky to be alive right now.

"Marinette?"

"Hmm?"

"I love you~"

"Haha... I love you too chaton," she grinned. She sighed, taking in the sounds of her children laughing and running after one another, the scent of the fresh air and the feeling of her husband as he pulled her into a hug.

The queen smiled dorkily in her mind as she realized the perfect word to describe her life; it was simply miraculous.

The end! I really hope you enjoyed this story (even though some parts were poorly written XD). I want to thank all my reader who stayed with me as I wrote this, thank you so much!! For those who are wondering, I don't think I'll be writing a sequel, just because my brain can't think ways to keep the story going, so sorry about that! But, I do feel kinda sad about finishing this story, I learned so much about my writing style, etc. Again, thank you all so much!
