《MLB Medieval Diaries》The Royal Ceremony

Marinette paced back and forth. Her heels clicking on the floor and white dress trailing behind. She wore a white dress with a sweetheart neckline and shiny long sleeves. A white large ribbon wrapped around her stomach and tied in the back. The skirt was long with intricate designs on the top laced layer. Her bridesmaids, including Alya, were also getting prepared nearby, they wore long, simple red dresses with sleeves that ended at the elbows and black ribbons tied around the waist. Adrien's best man Nino and some close friends wore black long sleeved shirts, pants, and shoes, with red vests to match the bridesmaids. The vests were adjourned with a single green-stained carnation. The theme was decided to be: the heroes of Paris! She had no idea what Adrien was wearing though, everyone was so desperate to keep them apart until the ceremony. She had hoped she could enjoy one last secret night together with her fiancé, but Alya had insisted on a slumber party as a "bachelorette party," since queens had a reputation to uphold!

"Marinette? Are you in here?" Sabine asked, popping her head in the room. "Oh, honey, you look beautiful!" At this, the bridesmaids took their leave and headed to the building where the wedding was being held.

"Yeah haha. Sorry, I'm just nervous," the bride said, pacing once more. "I feel like I could be sick."

Sabine hummed and hugged her daughter.

"Have you seen Adrien? He's very nervous- making sure everything is practically perfect."

"That's Adrien. I really couldn't have asked for a better partner," Marinette smiled to herself. She couldn't describe the sudden feeling: complete happiness, excitement, relief?, and nervousness. They'd survived everything together, the war, fighting Volpina, and so much more. She had no second-thoughts or regrets thinking about their lives together.

However, those feelings of comfort that arose when she thought of her love left her when her mother urged her to get dressed faster. "I can't wait to see the big moment!" Her mother said.

A knock sounded at the door. A few seconds later, a young woman appeared.

"Your majesty, a letter has arrived from the Bourgeois."

Marinette took the letter and the woman left. She opened the letter to find a necklace: a ladybug with its wings spread to reveal a black pearl. Small green jewels were spread out around the pearl. Dread spread on her like a blanket; she read the note:

Dear Marinette,

I want to apologize for my behavior. I was simply love struck as I'm sure you could understand. Anyway, even though it pains me, I wish you a life of happiness with Adrien. If you hurt him, I'll find a way to punish you. Take this necklace as a symbol of the joining of Ladybug and Chat noir. And yes, I know your secret, Adrien's too. But I do not dare to tell anyone for the sake of Adrien.

XOXO,

Chloe~

The bride was thankful Chloe still cared for Adrien, if not, she would have revealed their alter egos, no doubt.

Tom rushed in the room, "ahhh ma chérie! There you are! Are you ready? Also, is my outfit fit enough to be presented at your wedding?" he asked playfully.

Marinette laughed, "of course papa! You look great."

She took a deep breath and let her father lead her to the reception. They passed the courtyard, where chefs and workers fixed dishes and tables for the after party. They continued to a building where they took a minute at the entrance; they walked in slowly. The bride hadn't been spotted yet, but she could see Adrien waiting with a priest in the front. His face revealed her same emotions. She finally saw what he decided to wear, black pants and shoes, a green surcoat decorated with gold designs and brown knee-high boots.

Her bridesmaids greeted her quietly and they got into position. Alya gave her an encouraging look. Marinette could see her mother waiting in the front row as her father led her behind the bridesmaids.

The musicians caught eye of the princess and began to play. The guest, composed of friends, family, important acquaintances, and others, stood on cue and turned to face the aisle.

The bridesmaids made their way down the aisle and Marinette, led by her father, followed behind.

Adrien's face went into shock upon seeing her. His best man, Nino, gave him a discrete pat on the back.

Tom released his daughter after giving her a kiss on the cheek and a hug, and took his seat next to Sabine. Marinette faced Adrien and a quirky smile planted itself on her face. Adrien returned the smile, meanwhile Alya was thinking, "those dorks."

They had said their vows and the "I do's" and then came the "you may kiss the bride."

Adrien hadn't hesitated, he cupped his wife's cheeks and pulled her into a passionate kiss. Cheers and cries erupted from the crowd. He slowly let her go, leaving Marinette dazed.

Adrien stared into her eyes with a smile. After a few moments to calm down, Adrien spoke to the crowd:

"Fiends and family! I am eternally grateful to call your queen my wife. Please- join us outside for the party!"

Everyone cheered and patiently stood while waiting to head out of the building. Adrien held out his hand to lead his new wife to their outside table.

Once outdoors, table were lined with plates, napkins, and silverware. Guests took their seats and chatted vibrantly. Alya, and the bridesmaids, which included Mylène, Rose, Alix, and Juleka, sat at the same table as Marinette and Adrien. So did Nino, Ivan, Max, and Kim. Along with Adrien and Marinette's parents.

After everyone was situated, Adrien stood abruptly and lightly tapped his glass cup- gaining everyone's attention.

"Our dear friends and closest family, I am blessed -truly- to have you all celebrate with me, one of the happiest moments of my life. It truly means a lot to me, as well as Mari, to celebrate with everyone. I want to say, I look forward to every moment with Marinette in my life, and I know I can face every challenge with her. Thank you once again!" The guests gave a round of applause.

The night went on, there was dancing, speeches, toasts, food, pretty lights, and so on. Those who lived nearby took their leave and those who had traveled a great distance to attend were invited to stay the night. Wedding gifts were brought into a room to be opened later. Maids and butlers finished cleaning and Marinette and Adrien were occupied saying goodbye to guests and thanking them.

At last, the night seemed over, which brought a hint of sadness, realizing it was over. However, the fun had just begun for the new king. And without hesitation, he swept his queen off her feet, in wedding dress and all, and carried her proudly to their chambers.

"Adrien!" She squealed. Both laughing once again.

The fun never ceased to end.

Heads up! I'm thinking of writing about two more chapters :)
