《MLB Medieval Diaries》Disagreements from a Father

Birds chirped in the early morning. Some people would be annoyed- but Adrien woke up feeling extremely happy. He was certainly head-over-heals for a certain princess, and the moment they shared on Christmas night was enough for Adrien to become flustered all over again. He knew it was early- but seeing Marinette was all he wanted to do. If she was sleeping, then Adrien at least wanted to read quietly by her side. "That would be enough," the prince thought. He got dressed to leave; a loose, plain white shirt, black pants and brown boots. Plagg flew out of a desk drawer.

"Finally! You're awake," Plagg said sweetly. "Now give me cheese." He declared bluntly.

After feeding the kwami, Adrien left to Marinette's room with Plagg in his pocket.

He quietly opened his door and walked down the halls. He noticed portraits on the walls of the Dupain-Chengs. It gave the stone castle a nice feeling- a big contrast to the Agreste's kingdom. Adrien's castle's walls were barren and gray. The only portraits were of him and his father looking solemn. Only one portrait of his mother stood in his father's office. But Adrien couldn't focus on that when Marinette's door came into sight.

Just as Adrien was about to knock, Marinette opened the door.

She smiled and pulled him in.

"How'd you know I was outside?" Adrien questioned.

"Tikki sensed Plagg coming closer," the girl explained.

A red kwami flashed to Marinette and sat on her shoulder.

"Hi I'm Tikki!" The little kwami greeted.

"Hello! It's nice to-" Adrien started.

"Tikki!" Plagg shouted from the pocket. He raced to hug his friend- who he had not seen since the previous superheroes relinquished their miraculouses. Which was a long time ago.

The two kwamis sped off to a private area to catch up- leaving Adrien and Marinette alone.

Adrien hugged Marinette suddenly, he rested his head on hers. After a moment, Marinette hugged back.

"Marinette.." Adrien whispered. She hummed. "I can't- I won't go back to my kingdom without you."

"Adrien~," Marinette spoke. She felt the same way as him, but they had kingdoms to think of as well.

"Very well, I shall earn your hand in marriage! If you'd take me as your husband?" Adrien asked, he was determined to make this girl his wife, queen, and love for the rest of his life.

"Kitten, I'd marry you any day," she giggled.

"Great! It's settled," Adrien said, he broke the hug and placed a kiss on her lips. He pulled away with a smug look on his face. Marinette- determined to wipe the smirk off his face- pulled Adrien by the collar down to her level and gave him a kiss to remember.

"W-well princess! I-i b-better get going." Adrien stuttered. This girl had no idea what kind of effect she had on him.

Marinette stared as the boy walked out of her room, a sly smirk on her face.

"That cat." Marinette chuckled.

---

"Father!" Adrien called- walking into his father's office.

"Adrien?" Gabriel asked in a monotone voice.

"Father- I found the love of my life!"

"Son- don't talk like that. Is she queen material? Who is she?"

"P-princess Marinette." Adrien said worriedly. He didn't like his father's cold tone, or his attitude.

Gabriel only laughed. Instantly crushing the young blond prince.

"No father. I love her and you can't keep us apart!"

"Don't yell at me Adrien! I'm looking out for you!"

"NO! You are taking away everything I love in life! I.... I WISH YOU DISAPPEARED INSTEAD OF MOM!" Adrien shouted- tears now clouding his eyes, as he ran to his favorite person.

Gabriel stood unfazed.

"Really? How can you do that to your son?" A kwami appeared.

"Ha! I need that power! Once he marries that girl, he'll never let me have it."

"Yes... but you're losing him. I'd say you already have- but it's not too late."

"Why are you here? There's someone who you should return to. If you keep lecturing me... well, you know what I can do."

"Ha."

With that, the kwami disappeared.

-------

"Adrien?" Marinette said. She was startled by her kitten's abrupt entrance into her chambers.

"Princess.." Adrien whispered running into her arms.

"Kitten? What's wrong? Are you okay?" The girl questioned.

"No," the crying prince whispered.

Seeing her 'usually flirtatious kitten' crying made Marinette's heart ache. She hated seeing him this way.

"Adrien, I hate watching you cry, whatever the reason- we can work together to fix it."

"I-its my f-father, he doesn't want us t-together." Adrien choked out through the tears.

"Shh.. Adrien- I promise I'll convince him. No one can keep us apart kitty."

This earned a happy chuckle. Adrien kissed Marinette- the startled girl squeaked.

It was a passionate and sweet kiss. Marinette could feel the love, anger, sadness, and trust. When they broke away, she looked at his reddened eyes worriedly. He smiled warmly.

"Princess~. You're amazing! And I won't let my father break us apart." Adrien said with strength in his voice.

------

"Mama, papa? I want to ask you something."

"Of course Marinette!" Her parents replied. They stopped eating their dinner and looked at their daughter with comforting eyes.

The princess took a deep breath and spoke:

"I love Adrien!" She blurted out.

Her parents were silent for a second. But Marinette was not prepared for what came.

"AAAAHHHHHHH!!!" Her mother screamed. A sight that was extremely rare- the queen was usually sweet and composed.

Sabine jumped up and ran to hug her daughter.

"YES! Tom, send Alya a letter, our ship is happening!!"

"Mom?" Marinette stood stunned- watching her mother scream and hug her father with all her strength.

The girl decided to leave and spend dinner with Adrien. But just as she was sneaking away:

"Tom!! SHE'S GOING WITH ADRIEN!"

Marinette quickly shut the door and chuckled as she walked to find her prince.

She quickly found him on a balcony.

"Hey Adrien!" She greeted.

The prince turned and smiled as he gently grabbed her hands. He led her to the castle's stargazing room. Where a table was set with food and apple cider. Nearby, soft blankets and lots of pillows were set up like a small fort.

"Adrien! This is amazing!" Marinette said looking up at the bright stars. The stargazing room had a giant glass dome and was located at the top of the castle. Marinette used to come all the time with her father; but then she grew up and responsibilities took all her time.

"Are you hungry?" Adrien asked. Marinette turned and nodded. The table was set with a red table cloth, plates, silverware, and fancy drinking glasses. In the middle- a basket of bread, small plate of butter, a bowl of fruit and a plate of sliced fish, steak, and pork.

"Sorry I couldn't get salad, some of your favorite vegetables were out of stock until Monday."

"This is perfect Adrien! I couldn't think of anything better.

Each Royal served themselves. Adrien poured apple cider into each of their cups- and they began eating. Midway through the meal, they had began laughing unstoppably due to funny stories and jokes.

"Adrien stop! I'm gonna choke!" Marinette would warn. Of course, the cat would not stop.

"But purrincess! My jokes are paw-fect and meow-nificent!"

"Really?!"

---

On and on they ate and talked. Eventually, the two became tired, took off their shoes and retired to their fort of pillows and blankets.

They stared in silence at the night sky, where lots of stars were visible.

Marinette stared at up at the starry sky- while Adrien was focused on his lady's beautiful face.

Marinette noticed this and turned to him- smiling.

Soon they were sharing passionate kisses.

As their lips met, Marinette hands unconsciously moved up Adrien's shirt- earning a small moan. She could feel his muscular back and chest as her hands roamed.

Adrien's kisses soon moved across her cheeks and down her neck. Heat rose in Marinette's face and her breaths grew heavy.

Happiness filled the princess- while her lover relished in the love between them. It had been a long time since he had felt real love from anyone. Adrien was definitely not losing this girl.

Things had soon escalated- the young royals breathed heavily. Sweat and heat filled them as they kissed and unclothed each other. Adrien kissed Marinette repeatedly from her pink cheeks down to her stomach. The girl grew embarrassed and called Adrien when he kissed her lower abdomen.

"Sorry m'lady! I get too ahead of myself when I'm with you." Adrien chuckled. Marinette hummed and laughed when he hugged her tightly while laying a kiss on her neck.

The two panicked when footsteps sounded outside the room. They grew louder as they neared.

"Adrien! If someone sees us-"

"-our chance at marriage will be ruined." Adrien finished, panicking- he grabbed his clothes and laid still underneath the covers. Marinette quickly grabbed her dress and haphazardly put it on. She a bunch of pillows on top of Adrien to try and conceal him.

Suddenly, the door opened and maids walked in.

"Oh! Your majesty, I'm sorry," they apologized,

bowing.

"It's fine. I-was just, y'know, stargazing..." the

princess spoke awkwardly.

"Of course! Good night!" The maids said and quickly left.

Adrien pulled the blankets off his head and burst into laughter.

Marinette scolded him for being so loud, "shhhh! They could still be nearby!"

Adrien pulled Marinette into a close hug. Her scent filled his nose- she smelled like bread and cookies- a smell he had grown to love.

Marinette gasped and quickly rose to lock the door. Adrien sat up waiting for her to come back.

The once full dress was now loose without a corset and pannier. If anything, it complimented Marinette's body- in Adrien's opinion.

She smiled and made her way back into Adrien's arms.

As they grew tired and weary, Adrien held the girl protectively in his arms- he dared not to fall asleep until she did.

Sleep consumed them, they slept peacefully under the night sky full of stars. Both teenagers' heart's filled with love for each other.

----

Deep in the night, Alya sat at her desk, reading a letter sent from Sabine.

Dear Alya,

I am terribly excited to let you know Adrienette is happening! It's taking all my strength not to yell with excitement as I write this. Whatever we do, they must be together!

- You're friend, Queen Sabine

Alya struggled to keep herself calm. Her husband, Nino, sat nearby- he recognized when his wife tried to conceal her excitement. Mostly because she couldn't- and he was right.

The duchess sprang from her seat and rammed Nino back onto their bed.

"Alya? What's going on?"

The brunette could only scream with joy- fortunately, Nino's ears were accustomed to the sound.

Alya took a deep breath and cleared her throat, " my dear husband, I need to go see the princess tomorrow. We have something we really need to discuss."

Knowing his wife wouldn't take "no" for an answer, he happily obliged.

"Adrienette is on."
