Delia was happy as well as sad. She had mixed emotions right now, happy that her son was so energetic that even after completing a journey he had already decided about the another. Sad that he would be leaving again and she wouldn't be able to see him for another year or two. Suddenly it clicked her mind that since Ash was leaving for another journey, she should prepare a set of new clothes for him and went upstairs.

"Hey Professor, where are you?" Ash yelled as he entered the Lab

"Oh, Ash it's you. Prof. Oak is in the ranch feeding Pokemon and by the wait congrats on winning the Kanto Battle Frontier." Tracey answered to his former travelling companion.

"Thanks Tracey, hey Gary lets go the ranch fast." was all that Ash could say before he rushed outside the lab and ran towards the ranch. Tracey just chuckled at his expression.

"Hey how all are you guys!" Ash exclaimed while he was surrounded by all his Pokemon except Snorlax who was busy dozing under a tree. All the Pokemon cried happily.

"I would like to thank you all for your hard work and determination that made it possible for us to win the Kanto Battle Frontier." Ash said while thanking his Pokemon. All of them cheered happily.

"Ash my boy you are back. Congratulations on winning the Battle Frontier, you have made Pallet Town proud!" said Prof. Oak as he returned with Gary after feeding the Pokemon. When Ash was busy meeting his Pokemon Gary went and found Prof. Oak.

"Hey thanks professor, but you're embarrassing me." Ash said placing his hands on his cap sheepishly.

"Hey Ash don't you wanna see your surprise what I was talking about. Let's head to the Lab fast." Gary suggested. Ash nodded his head and along with Professor and Gary went to the Lab.

"See this is your surprise." Gary said while pointing towards two brown Pokemon eggs which were placed on a table. Ash was literally shocked as he didn't expect that his former rival would give him Pokemon eggs, that too not one but two.

"These two eggs contain my favorite Pokemon 'Eevee', one is going to hatch today and the other one probably in 10-12 days. I want you to take the one that hatches today." Gary explained to his former rival.

"Gary are you serious!" Ash exclaimed getting excited. Gary just nodded his head. "Thank you so much Gary I would take good care of Eevee and will not disappoint you." Ash said. "Pika Pi." It cried in agreement.

"I know Ash that's why I am giving you these eggs." Gary said making Ash a little confused.

"These eggs I don't understand why are you giving me two?" Ash asked confused.

"You see Ashy-Boy I have a lot of Eevee's as well as their eggs so it's not possible for me to keep all of them. But being their owner it's my duty that I hand over these eggs to responsible trainers who would take care of them." Gary said as Ash began to understand his situation.

"So, I want you too take care of this egg which hatches today and also entrust you with the responsibility of handing over the other egg to an appropriate trainer as you we will be travelling through Sinnoh." Gary said completing his statement.

"Sure, Gary you can trust me, I will hand over the egg only to a person that is caring and responsible." Ash said to his fomer rival. Gary nodded with a smile in acknowledgement.

"Ash Gary has told me that you will be next heading to the Sinnoh region and try the gyms there." Ash nodded. "Take here is a ferry ticket to Sinnoh region. It departs today evening at 7 pm from Vermillion City and will reach at Twinleaf town at 9 am in the morning tomorrow." Professor explained to Ash while handing him over the ferry ticket.

"Thanks a lot Professor." Ash said while accepting the ticket.

'It's a pleasure my boy." Prof. Oak said with a smile in his cheery attitude as always.

"Hey guys it's already lunchtime and after that I have to pack and reach Vermillion by 6.30 pm or else, I will miss my ferry. Oh, Prof. Oak and Tracey mom has invited you all for lunch." Ash said while informing them about the lunch.

"Yeah, Ash and before that I would suggest you to leave all your Pokemon and take the eggs now itself otherwise you will have to return to the Lab again and it might affect your schedule." Prof. Oak suggested unaware of the fact that this time Ash is changing his strategy a bit.

"Oh, Professor I forgot to tell you that this time I am going to use all Pokemon that I caught in my previous journeys as well as the new ones as I am serious to win the Sinnoh League this time." Ash completed with a hint of pride and confidence in his voice.

"That's definitely a great strategy Ash." Prof. Oak praised.

"Ashy-Boy don't you wanna tell who suggested you the strategy?" Gary asked Ash in a teasing tone.

"Thanks Professor and by the way it was Gary who suggested me." Ash said while earning a smirk from Gary.

"Ok, but have you decided which Pokemon are you going to take to the Sinnoh Region as for now?" Prof. Oak asked.

"Yes, Professor I have decided that I would take Pikachu, Heracross, Totodile and Cyndaquil as for now." Ash stated.

"What about the other two Pokemon?" Gary questioned.

"One for the egg and the other one just to be sure if a find a new Pokemon or something like that."

"Oh, I understand." Gary nodded.

Meanwhile Professor Oak went to ranch collected the three Pokemon that Ash had requested and handed them over to him. After that the group of four left the Lab and walked towards Ash's house. Ash and Gary were both holding an Egg each. As they reached Ash's house they were welcomed by Delia.

They all enjoyed the meal which Delia had prepared. It included curry rice, perfectly barbequed steak and obviously Ash's favorite hamburgers. Delia was little upset that Ash was leaving today evening itself because she had expected him to leave tomorrow but she was also happy that Ash so was passionate about his dream.

After lunch Ash began to pack all the things that he required for his journey. He knew Brock wasn't going to be there. He had to prepare food on his own for himself as well his Pokemon. He was mature enough to take care of himself and not land in any kind of trouble. Ash decided that he would wear his new outfit tomorrow morning once he reaches Sinnoh.

"Hey Ash please take care of yourself and don't forget to change your underwear daily." Delia said getting little worried as her son was going to leave yet for another journey.

"Yes, mom don't embarrass me in front of everyone, I am old enough to take care of myself!" Ash said as he was red with embarrassment. Delia just giggled at his reaction.

"Hey Ashy Boy I can drive you Vermillion City as you have to reach there within an hour." Gary suggested his former rival.

"Sure, Gary it would be nice." Ash nodded.

"Hey, Ash as soon as you reach Twinleaf town, I want you to go to Professor Rowan's lab in Sandgem town which is probably a 30 minutes-walk from Twinleaf town. He would update your Pokedex so that you can easily identify and register the regional Pokemon there.

"Sure, Professor it will be the first thing that I will do once I reach Sinnoh." Ash confirmed to Prof. Oak. He then bid farewell to his mom, Prof. Oak and his former travelling companion Tracey. He promised his mother that he would call her as soon as he reaches in Sinnoh. He then sat with Gary in his red car, the one which Gary had used in his journey through Kanto.

Ash was holding the Pokemon egg in hand which was about to hatch today or tomorrow while the second egg was safely placed in his bag inside an incubator obviously. Pikachu was sitting on his right shoulder as usual. It was as excited as it's master as they were going to begin their new journey.

They were moving through the Viridian Forest clearing that suddenly a Flying Pokemon attacked. Ash was shocked. "Is that really you?" was all that Ash could say. Gary was confused, first he didn' know why the Pokemon attacked them? and second how did Ash know it? "Gwah Piiii" it cried in an angry tone as it attacked Ash again.

"Pidgeot I don't know why are you attacking me?" Ash said happy as well as surprised on meeting his old friend.

"Oh, now I understand why you are angry at me." Ash said as he lowered his head in dejection. Pidgeot as well as Gary gave him confused looks.

"I had promised that I would definitely come back later to catch you again, but I failed to keep up my promise. You waited for me so long and I am coming now after 4 years. I am really sorry Pidgeot. Please forgive." Ash said with a hint of disappointment in his tone.

Pidgeot became a little calm after hearing Ash's apology but it still was angry as Ash had returned after nearly 4 years. "Pidgeot I know that you are very angry, but just give me one chance to correct my mistake. Can you become my Pokemon again?" Ash asked Pidgeot to join his team again.

It surely lit up Pidgeot's mood and it became cheerful again. It nodded it's head in approval. Ash understood that Pidgeot too wanted to join his team. He happily threw a Pokeball on Pidgeot. The Pokeball fell on the ground and moved two times until Ding! It was caught.

"Alright, I just caught Pidgeot again!" Ash explained while raising him Pokeball high in victory. "Pi Pikachu." Pikachu cheered in the background along with Ash.

Gary didn't understand fully what was going on but he knew there was no time for it as Ash had just 45 minutes to reach Vermillion. "Ash we better get going otherwise you will surely miss your Ferry." Gary said in suggestion.

Ash nodded and both of them sat on the car and Gary started driving. On the way Ash explained to Gary Pidgeot's story, that how he had left it there in forest in order to protect a flock of Pidgey's and Pidgeotto's from Spearow and Fearow's. Gary was a little bit surprised that someone like Ash would forget about his Pokemon but he knew that Ash was really feeling guilty about his mistake.

"Hey Ash I think it's time for farewell." Gary said while moving one hand forward for a handshake. Ash accepted the handshake.

"Hey Ashy-boy if you manage to win 8 badges and participate in the Sinnoh League then I will surely come to cheer for you as I will be returning Sinnoh in two weeks." Gary said in a teasing tone.

"Hey, Gary you know that no matter what, I am always able to collect 8 badges before the league." Ash said while Gary just smiled at his answer

"I know Ashy-Boy but this time you have to win the league as well. All the best for your Sinnoh Journey." Gary said while giving Ash a thumbs up.

"Thanks Gary." Ash said as he waved him goodbye and went inside the ship which was about to depart in a few minutes.

Ash was roaming on the deck. The ship was not so big it was just a regular passenger ship that transported people from Kanto to Sinnoh. Most of them were trainers and coordinators. Ash was standing near the railing and was thinking about all the travels he had done before. Tomorrow he was going to begin his new journey and had an unknown feeling that this time something special is going to happen, something which will change his life forever.

Ash Ketchum as you may know is the densest person you will ever come across but that was 5 years ago when he had started his journey. As the years went by, he became less-denser and now he was sure what true love and what romantic feelings are. Misty and May were both like his sisters, Misty being a little annoying. He was sure that he did not have any romantic feeling towards them or anyone 'currently'.

The dinner was being served. Ash didn't eat much as he had a heavy brunch today eating almost 4 hamburgers and 7 plates of curry rice! Seriously anyone expect his friends wouldn't believe that the boy had such a large appetite maybe it was due to constant travelling on road.

The time was around 10 pm. Ash was inside his cabin lying on bed thinking about how his journey through Sinnoh will be. He was sure that he would make many new friends and rivals as always. "Hey Pikachu, aren't you excited buddy I am not able to sleep." Ash said to his partner. "Pi Pikapi, Chaa" was what it said.

Suddenly Ash noticed the room began to glow. Then his attention went to the table beside him and he was shocked. "Is it possible! Pikachu look the Egg's hatching." Ash said as both of them went closer to the table.

The egg finally hatched revealing a cute little brown Pokemon with a white pattern on its tail. "Eevvee." It cried. Seeing Ash, it quickly jumped into his arms and began to lick his cheeks happily. It was cuddling happily in Ash's arms. Ash was a little bit amused on seeing its affection. Then Ash remembered the incident with Togepi during his first journey. A newly hatched Pokemon imagines the person it sees first as its parents. So, Ash technically was Eevee's father in a way and Pikachu its brother.

"Hey, Eevee I am happy to see you as well but first let me catch you so that you technically become my Pokemon." Ash said while removing a Pokeball from his belt. Eevee's expression changed suddenly. It looked somewhat scared and began to run all over the room not wanted to go inside the Pokeball. Ash immediately understood Eevee's fear.

"Hey don't worry Eevee if don't like or want to stay inside the Pokeball I won't force you. You can stay outside just as Pikachu." Ash suggested. "Pi Pikapi." It said explaining Eevee.

Eevee felt relieved and nodded its head. Ash threw the Pokeball gently at Eevee and it was captured immediately. "Alright I just caught an Eevee!" Ash exclaimed in his usual signature pose with Pikachu

"Come on out Eevee." Ash said as he removed it out of its Pokeball. As it came out it tackled Ash showing its affection. "Ok guys let's sleep for now we have a long day tomorrow." Ash said yawning. Both the Pokemon nodded and fell asleep on top of Ash.

A lot of events happened today for Ash and Pikachu. His journey through Sinnoh will begin tomorrow. He got his old friend Pidgeot back and a cute little affectionate Eevee. Stay tune what new adventures are in store for our hero as his journey through Sinnoh begins!
