After training, we head back to our rooms and since its Friday there are no battles for 2 days so we were thinking that Gary and I would show them around "Hey you there!" I here some people yell but I instantly regrated waiting and turning around It was some of the traitors Cilan, Paul, May and Dawn the girls were the first individuals to speak up "Hey cutie how about we go a date" May said with pure desire for me "and if you don't like her you can go out with-" Dawn said, but Lillie was pissed "What is wrong with you! Do you how wrong that is! What if he is dating! You are just like Brock!" She yells at them trying not to hurt them but it looks like she could kill after that I gently kissed her and remind her that I'm not going "wait what!" I hear behind me and we forgot to tell them that we are dating "Tada" we say as we saw mouths drop oh this was going to be an insane night... but then " well what do you want" I say as Cilan spoke up " We want you to drop out of the tournament and you will do it and after what you did to my girl will kill you" Cilan whisper in my ear but when he saw my face he didn't hesitate to back off of me "Let's me make one thing clear" I started and when I continued he was shivering 1 I am NOT backing off from this tournament that I have been working hard for 2 your Girl try to kill me and 3 you will not do anything to hurt me or my friends and if you do your life will be hell. got that" I say "Y-Yes" he said while running off "what the hell Ash!" Kiwaie yelled at me but what shocked everyone was my eyes instead of blue they were black

But while it may just be a game to those overseeing it, it is a genuine war for survival to those participating in it where billions of real lives will go to the victor of whoever wins, and many will die before the game is over. Quick Author's Notes: System inspired by Civilization, Endless Legend, Stellaris, and Crusader Kings 2. Combat mechanics inspired by the Total War series. Slow-paced with many long-term plans. Protagonist has a personality heavily inspired by Ron Swanson. Know who that is and love him? You should like Clay. Know who Ron Swanson is and hate him? You'll probably hate Clay. Planning on writing every single day (turn). Days with important things happening will have the system/game mechanics be the priority of the chapter. Days where there isn't really anything important happening will be more slice-of-life and focused on character interactions. Designed a dice-based randomized map generator to create the world as the story goes on, so I don't even know myself exactly what's going to happen as a lot is dependent on world generation. Tech tree with hundreds of technologies already designed. There is a "harem," but it's not the main focus, the girls won't be cardboard cutouts, and I'm not going to completely forget about any previous women in the relationship whenever a new one comes along. One last thing. The "game" starts off with primitive technology level. The current plan is for the "endgame" tech level to be equivilent to WW2-era technology. After that and war just gets boring until you end up in space. Cover is temporary and made from royalty-free stock images while waiting for the real cover's commission to finish.
