《His painful rejection》Chapter 17 A little problem

Our small quiet moment was interrupted by an out of breath Jake barging through the door.
Both Hunter and I looked up at him. He held up his index finger asking for a second so he could catch his breath.
"What's wrong Jake?" I asked.
"There...is...a...rogue...attack," he said in between gasps of air.
Both Hunter and I shot up and ran out the room. Jake ran behind us, for a werewolf he is sure out of shape.
We passed by some pack members who were running inside to take cover from the attack. Jace was already outside with Roy and some of the pack warriors.
I ran quickly to help those who needed it. A wolf came at me by surprise knocking me of my feet. My side hit the trunk of a tree knocking the wind out of me. The wolf began to stride towards me.
I stood up and shifted into my wolf. The wolf took a step back and I couldn't help the wolfy grin that appeared as I saw the fear cross its eyes.
It launched at me and I easily avoided its attack rolling on my back I bit its stomach earning a small yelp from the wolf.
It turned towards me with fire in its eyes, clawing at me as I got near once more. Jumping on its back I bit down. The wolf howled in pain, and fell on its back squishing me and making me lose my hold.
The wolf took advantage that I was down and bit my paw. I yelped as I felt the pain shoot through me. I kicked it of off me and went for the kill. Biting down on its neck ending its life.
I began to help once more. As I was getting ready to fight another rouge it stopped and turned to the woods. I watched as it left and so did the rest of the rogues.
Everyone stood there not understanding what had just happened. I turned to see Roy and some of the warriors carrying a rogue who was struggling to get out of there hold. I followed them to where we had the cells.
The rouge stared at us and didn't move. Both Roy and Hunter left with the pack doctor to help the pack. I was left with Jake and the rouge. Jake stood up quickly and I turned to look at him.
"Sorry I have to go help Jace," he said as he began to head up the stairs.
"Whats wrong?" I asked.
"Oh you know the usual, he's all worried about Lucy"
"Oh. She's probably helping the pack members. I don't know why he worries so much," I said.
He nodded and looked at me once more, "yeah but you know how he always worries."
I nodded and watched as he left.
I turned to the rouge once more. Amusement danced in his eyes like if a joke had been told and only he knew what the inside joke was about.

"Why so happy?" I asked.
"They won't find her," the rouge said with a smile.
"They won't find who exactly?" I asked.
"The girl the beta was talking about," he grinned at me.
I sat back and thought of what he said as the realisation sipped in I jumped up from my seat. I reached out and grabbed onto his shirt collar.
"Where is she? Where did they take her?" I hissed.
"Like I would tell you," he laughed.
I threw him to the wall as I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"We can't find her...I think...I think they took her," Jace said as he slumped down to the floor.
I bit my lip but I needed to say it, "Jace they did."
He shot up and looked at me straight in the eyes , "tell me that you're lying?" He yelled. "Tell me this is a joke from the two of you!" He yelled.
I shook my head, "I wish I could Jace...I-I wish I could," I whispered as I saw him crumble to the floor.
He laid there in a fetal position and began to sob. I've never seen him act like that before. The fun, happy, and outgoing Jace was now replaced with a inconsolable teen.
It broke my heart anger blazed inside me and I turned once more to the rouge.
"I will not to ask again, where is she?!" I yelled.
The rouge laughed and looked at us he shook his head 'no'. I ran to the cell trying to wring the rogues neck but Jake held me back.
"Kristen listen...Listen to me?" He said as he held my face in both of his hands. "I know you want to kill him because so do I, but we need him to tell us where she is."
"I can't," I whispered as a tear ran down my cheek. Lucy is my best friend, my sister the fear of losing her broke my heart.
"We'll check the perimeter once more," Hunter said as he began to walk out.
I nodded and watched as the rest of them left. Jace left with them even though I'm not sure he is ok to do so.
I was left once more with the rouge.
"What do they want with her?" I asked.
"They don't want anything with her," he said with a shrug.
"Than why did they take her in the first place then?"
"Just so they will be sure that their plan goes as how they want," he said as he got closer to the cell, but he avoid touching it.
"And what is there plan?" I asked as I leaned forward.
"They want you Kristen," he said with a smile.
They want me? Why me? Why is it always me?!
"Then why did they take her and not me?" I asked.

"Well it's simple really," he said as he sat down.
"How so?"
"Well you have two mates, two mates who are both alphas, and well alphas tend to be very possessive. If they took you then-" I cut him off.
"Then they would go after them to save me. So they needed to take someone close to me. And what they think is if they did then I would trade myself in exchange for that person's safety," I finished what he had started.
"Bingo!" He said with a grin.
I sat back on the chair and ran my hand through my hair. Those bastards know that's the first thing I will do. The safety of my friends and pack comes first.
"So I have to go save her then," I said as I stood up.
The rouge nodded and grinned at me.
"Where do they have her? I need to save her from them. Who knows what they could do to her?"
The rouge was about to speak when someone cut him of, "your not going anywhere Kristen."
I turned to see Hunter standing in front of the door blocking my way out. Roy, Jake, and Jace came up behind him.
"Hunter you don't understand, she's my friend," I pleaded.
He shook his head, "And you're my mate, and as my mate your safety comes first."
"You can't stop me," I said as I tried to push through.
Hunter held my arm tightly and didn't let go. I tried to get loose from his hold he pushed me towards Jake.
"Lock her in her room and don't leave her alone, check on her at all times," he ordered.
Jake picked me up and began to walk up the stairs.
"You can't do this Hunter!" I yelled.
"It's for your own good Kristen," he said.
"Your an alpha your pack is supposed to come first!" I screamed.
"Jake don't let her out of you sight!"
"Yes alpha," Jake responded.
"Jake please," I pleaded. "I need to help her please."
"I'm sorry Kristen," Jake said as he put me in the room and began to walk out, closing the door behind him.
I stood up and ran to the door. I twisted the knob but it wouldn't budge.
"Let me out!" I yelled as I banged on the door.
After hours of yelling and hitting the door I gave up. I fell to the floor and began to sob. Lucy my best friend, my sister was kidnapped by some psychotic people who want to rule the world and I can't do anything about it.
Night fell and the tears had stopped. It was around two in the morning or so when an idea popped in my head.
"Jake can you help me?" I said through the door.
"What do you need help on?" He asked.
"The light in the room won't turn on," I said.
"Okay I'm coming in,” he said.
As I heard the door open i took hold of the lamp beside my bed.
"Kristen where are you?" He said as he walked in.
"I'm in here," I said knowing he could only see my silhouette.
He reached for the switch and flipped it on.
"Kristen the light works fine," he said as he turned to look at me.
I swung at him making him fall to the floor.
"What the!" he said as he began to pass out.
"I'm sorry Jake but Lucy needs me," I said as I began to drag him to my bed.
I threw the covers over him and turned on the light. So if anyone walks in they'll think it's me.
Every corner that I took I made sure to look carefully so I wouldn't get caught.
Some of the pack worriers passed by and I had to hide in one of the storage closet. When they left I presided my way to the cells.
Luckily no one was there.
"Hey you," I whispered.
The rouge stirred but didn't wake up.
"Hey," I whispered a little louder.
He waved me of causing anger to rise. I grabbed a small rock at threw it with all my force towards him.
"Oww!" He yelled.
"Shh!" I hissed.
"You? Why are you here?" He asked.
"I need to go save my friend," I whispered.
He nodded and looked at me.
"So," I said.
"So what?" He asked.
"So are you going to tell me or not?"
"Oh yeah," he said with a smile.
After he told me I began to walk out but was stopped by him, "Kristen you have to go alone."
"Why?" I asked.
"If you don't than they'll kill her."
I was taken aback by what he had said. I nodded and left.
Getting out of the house was easy, leaving the territory was difficult. I hid my scent and began to go into the woods. The warriors were on patrol and by the looks of it Hunter had added more warriors.
A few minutes into the woods Hunter mind linked me and he didn't sound to happy.
"Kristen where are you?" He hissed.
"I can't tell you"
"You can't tell me?! You knocked out Jake and disobeyed me!"
"I'm sorry I have to do what is right"
"Kristen you come back here this in-" I blocked him from my mind.
I'm sorry I whispered and I looked back at the vanishing pack house. I took a deep breath and began to ran to the place the rogue had told me. I just hope I'm not to late.

Having just awoken from a pre-op only to find himself confused and all alone in a changed world and a hospital consumed by chaos he must do all he can to survive. When everything turns into a zero sum game of dog eat dog, they'll find that The Hunter is an all too willing participant, but he will soon find out that he isn't the only player of this game. First story I'm posting and I don't really have a cool synopsis, sorry everyone, but this story is just another LitRPG apocalypse. I guess the only difference is that the main character isn't a hero. He's not here to save the world, he's not here to make friends, and he's definitely not here to save everyone. He's probably what the villains in other similar stories would be actually. Just writing for fun, advice or constructive critism is welcomed, writing style prone to change. Warning: Incredible amounts of poor grammar, Gore, Profanities, Traumatizing content, and cliches(I plan to have multiple main characters, maybe this is too ambitious for my poor skills, but it seems like it would be fun to try, the other MCs won't show up until later on.) The cover image isn't mine I just found it online. It's a piece by Stephanie Frey This takes inspiration from a lot of great stories on here, but I find the beginning to be most similar to Blood Lust by DefinitelyNotJormlung. Starcraft and Warhammer 40k and survival world rpg by S_Conary will also influenced this (at least that's my plan if I ever get that far or finish this) Also please stay with me until chapter 3. I suck at starting stories, but have been told I get better as I'm further along.
8 124Reincarnated as a Demonic Entity
I was roused to my senses by the smell of rancid meat, and met with an endless nothingness. The only thing I could use to know I was conscious was the smell, and the strong desire to instill fear unto others. ---------------------- I've always thought I was haunted. Ever since I turned six, things began to move around on their own, but this usually only happened when I was alone. However, when I turned eighteen, whatever it was got violent. It threw things at me, rather than around me, and it began to whisper to me when my loved ones would die. It never told me to end my own life, it just kept forcing me to live in fear, threatening to kill my family, until one day it must've been satisfied with its fill of fear. I died, only to be given a rude awakening. I had no stairway to salvation, only a highway to damnation.

8 239Zero Views: Short Stories
I get it. No one cares about Short Stories. That doesnt Mean that I don't want to post the crap I write when I do a writing prompt. Or the good stuff that I write when I do a writing prompt. You know. Cover all the bases. I'm starting off with a backlog of different stories that I've written over the years. Kick back, and read the words I put on virtual paper. Why not?
8 74Things I've never said
TINSTo the things I've never said. To the things you've never said. To the the words that have never been spoken To all those emotions that couldn't have a chance to be expressed.
