"Sultanam, please calm down. Stressing yourself out will only worsen your condition." The midwife pleaded as I paced around the court yard. The rebellion has calm down, some were death and their body was already deposed, some went home while many was still here standing with me.

"How can I, Hatun? How can I calm down when. . . when my son is being held hostage by that witch." I replied in frustration.

"Sultanam, the only thing we can do now is pray. Let us all pray together for the well being and safe arrival of our Şehzade." One of the women said and the others nodded in agreement.

After we all prayed together, one of the Hatun's helped me stand up before folding my prayer rug. "Thank you." I said and that woman bowed with a smile.

The mid wife along with some women bought food and set up a table for me as I refused to enter the palace without my son. "Sultanam, please have something or your condition will worsen." The mid wife pleaded.

"Hayır." I said, sternly, leaving no place for argument. "Like I have said before I won't have anything until my son return Hatun. Don't push it."

"But Sultanam by doing that not only are you risking your life but you are risking the life of the baby inside you." She cried out as she tried to convince me. She was right.

I sighed and picked up the glass of saffron almond milk before drinking it. I handed the empty glass to her before dismissing her. "Enough. You may take your leave."

As the time went by, everyone started to leave until there were only me, the two midwives and some Janissaries.

The night seem longer than any other nights. The cold wind blew mercilessly and the dark clouds covered the whole sky above us. It was going to rain and it was a sign of the approaching winter.

I rubbed my arms, walking around the court yard with the two women and four guards following me close behind.

"Sultanam, I think we should go inside now. It's getting cold out here and you might catch a cold." One of the Hatun said.

I stopped on my track before turning back to face them. "Indeed, you're right. It's getting very windy and cold." I said making both of them smile a little.

"You two may take your leave." I stated before tilting my head a little. "Agha, ask one of girls to bring my coat and a blanket for my Şehzade. I don't want him getting cold."

The guards nodded and bowed before one of them turned around and ran inside the palace while the two midwives looked like they wanted to cry.

"I said you can leave, Hatunlar." I repeated once again before turning my back on them and started walking.

"As you wish Sultanam." I heard them say before they went away leaving me alone with the guards who were walking behind me with an emotionless expression.

Soon it started to rain and the guard I sent bought my coat and a small blanket. They brought a chair for me to sit and I mumbled a small thank you before sitting down and dismissing them as I wanted to be alone.

I held the small blanket to my chest as I inhale the smell. "Osman, my son, my Şehzade, where are you? What have they done to you." I mumbled against the blanket before breaking down.

Fate was playing a cruel game on me. It was testing me with my loved ones.

First Mehmed and now my Osman.

But I intend to win.

I will not lose my husband and my son to this stupid, cruel, merciless dynasty witches.

"I will kill you with my bare hands once I get my hold on you, Hafsa." I mumbled to myself. "You messed with the wrong person."

"Sultanam." Someone called out and I wiped my tears before turning towards that person.

Kara Ahmed Pasha.

He bowed. "Sultanam, I heard about what happened with our Şehzade. May he return safely."

"Amin, Pasha." I replied.

"I came to inform you that Hümaşah Sultan and the rest of the Harem girls have been brought back to the palace by Dervish Pasha." He informed. "Hümaşah Sultan is in the infirmary being treated by the Baş Hekim."

"What!?" I asked, shocked. "What happened to her? Is she alright?"

"Sultanam has been stabbed in the abdomen. She was brought her in critical condition."

Ok, what's going on in my life?

Everything. Everything is falling apart.

"Ya Allah, give me strength." I whispered as I massaged my temples. "Pasha, keep on informing me about her condition and everything. Also inform Mustafa Pasha to call an urgent meeting in the divan at daybreak."

"As you wish, Sultanam." He replied.

"You may take your leave." I dismissed him.

"With your permission." He bowed before walking away leaving me alone.

Hours past by, but till there were no news of Osman or Hümaşah. The rain had stopped and the dark clouds has cleared up showing a little orange light coming up from afar.

I was about to call for someone to ask about Hümaşah when I heard galloping of the horses coming from a little far. I stood up immediately.

I ran and stood in the middle of the court making the guards alert, they also followed my action.

Please let it be Selim Giray with Osman.

Please. Please.

And like I was hoping and praying, Selim Giray came inside the court yard riding on his horse with a sleeping Osman in his arms.

I immediately ran towards him making him stop in his track before jumping down his horse carefully.

I took Osman from his arms and placed a long kiss on Osman's forehead before pressing him tightly to my chest. "Osman, my son."

I turn to look at Selim Giray. "Thank you Khanzade. You brought back my son to me, safely like you promised. Your Sultan and I, we owe you a life. Ask anything you like."

"Sultanam, it was my duty. Please don't embarrass me by thanking me." He replied humbly.

Osman began to stir and I wrapped him carefully in his blanket that I was carrying before rocking him a little and in no second he was back to his sleep.

"Sultanam, we caught Hafsa Sultan." Selim Giray added. "She was trying to escape from the capital with her daughter Fatma Sultan."

I nodded.

"How about Ayşe? Where is she?" I asked.

"Forgive me Sultanam but we still haven't found her and Ismihan Sultan." He replied.

"What!? Even Ismihan? How come? Why didn't no one inform me about Ismihan's disappearance?" I hissed as I glared at the Janissaries Aghas who were standing behind me.

"Forgive us Sultanam but we were informed not to disturb you with anything." They replied making ne want to tear them apart. Idiots.

"Find them." I ordered. "Find them. I want them here, in the palace, without any harm no matter what. Understood?"

"Yes, Sultanam." They nodded before climbing on their horses.

"Inform Dervish Pasha, tell him that I want both the Sultanas alive and unharmed in the palace before noon. No matter what!" I ordered and they nodded before riding off.

"Sultanam, you don't look fine. Please go and take rest or Allah forbids, your condition may worsen." Selim Giray said and I looked at h before nodding.

"You too, Selim Giray. Take rest." I replied and he nodded. "I want you to meet me in the garden with Yakub Effendi later."

"As you wish Sultanam." He bowed before he left with his guards and I return my attention back at my son.

"Osman'ım, Hayatım, benim yiğit Şehzadem." I kissed his forehead as I walk inside the palace with him, safe in my arms.

Thank you God for returning him safely to me.

"Sultanam." Gülnihal called out as soon as she saw me from the Harem door.

"ATTENTION. HER IMPERIAL MAJESTY, HASEKI HALIME SULTAN." Sumbul agha announced and everyone stood in line.

"Where is Sadika Hatun?" I asked Gülnihal.

"Sultanam, she . . . she."

"She what? Speak Gülnihal." I hissed in frustration.

"They killed her Sultanam."
