I watched from the balcony as the carriage took off with a small smile playing on my lips. I entrust my son to you Hümaşah.

I can hear the shouting and screaming of the rebellions even from this height. Those illiterate creatures wait for moments like this to show their stupidity and rebel cause they have nothing to do.

They have no sympathy or no time to mourn and share the grief with the dynasty.

I walk down the dark and silent corridors of the palace that were once filled with laughter of the children and concubines. The palace that was once filled with light and joy now looks like a creepy horror mansion.

Taking a deep breath I opened the main door cradling my baby bump with my hand, ready to face the crazy crowd.

"Sultanam?" Dervish Pasha looked at me in shock. This feels like a déjà vu.

I ignored him and walked past him as he was too shocked to stop me too. "Aghas. Stop." I called out but my voice was nothing compared to the loud screaming of the crowd. Now, this is pissing me off.

"I SAID SHUT UP EVERYONE." I yelled at the top of my voice and thankfully they stopped.

"Sultanam please don't." Dervish whispered to me. "Go to some safe place until the chaos is over. We don't want anything happening to you."

"No, Dervish. This is getting out of hand. Everyone should know their place and they will too." I said before turning towards the crowd.

"What is all this about? Why do you people always wait for some inappropriate time to rebel that also on things that don't even concern you? How dare you?" I said in a loud and clear voice with a hard glare.

One of the men stepped out and I diverted my attention to him. "Valide Sultanam, we heard-"

"Say that again and I'll have your tongue cut." I hissed at him.

"Forgive me Sultanam but. . . we consider you as our Valide Sultan and Şehzade Sultan Osman as the next successor." The man replied boldly, making me want to rip his head off his body. I was about to give him a savage reply when another man spoke up.

"Didn't we already talk about this Effendi!?" The man yelled angrily. "We want Şehzade Orhan on the throne."

I cocked my eyebrows at him. "So you think His Majesty is dead but Şehzade Orhan is not? How do you know? Tell me Effendi, how do you know? Weren't they on the same ship? Or were you the one behind all this?" I asked with my eyes narrowed at him, making him nervous and the crowd gasp in shock.

"Hayir. No. This woman is trying to manipulate you all my friends. Don't listen to her. Don't you know that she's a witch!" He yelled on top of his lungs but I ignored his stupid ramblings before turning to the crowd.

"Sultan Mehmed Khan is alive. He will be back. I believe it and so will you. Neither my son nor will any prince sit on his throne." I announced it confidentially. "Even my son has to walk through me to get to the throne."

"No. We want Şehzade Orhan!" The man yelled again, alone.

"Over my dead body." I gritted out. "Who is this 'we' here cause I see only you shouting bullshits?"

"No. We want Şehzade Orhan. Come on my friends, come to your senses. Şehzade Orhan is the most befitting prince for the throne." He tried to convince them and some even turned up.

"Alright, if that's what you want." I said calmly before taking two steps back. I pulled out a sword from one of the Janissaries baldric. "You have to walk past me. Come on."

"Sultanam?" Dervish, who was confused like a lost puppy asked in confusion.

Oh yeah, they still don't know I can fight.

"I'm an expert at this Pasha. Don't worry." I assured him.

Many people stepped back but some 100 stupid of them thought they would win against me. I gripped my sword tightly just then someone jumped right in front of me from somewhere above, taking me off guard.

Some aghas carefully pushed my back and pointed their sword at the intruder as the intruder slowly rose up to his full height. He was tall with broad shoulders but somehow a little shorter than Mehmed. He removed his hood and turned back before bowing to me.

"Haseki Sultan." He acknowledged while I just stood there confused. I glanced at Dervish who immediately recognised him and bowed to him.

"Bu kim?" I asked one of the aghas in front of me.

"Forgive me Sultan for not introducing myself first." The intruder replied. His voice was deep and heavy. "Ben. . . Selim Giray."

"Oh ohk." I replied awkwardly. He turned his back at me before taking out his sword.

"Who is he again?" I whispered to the agha who I asked again.

"Sultanam, he is Khanzade Selim Giray, son of Crimean Khan." He answered without wasting any second. "Hünkarım's Valide's nephew to be specific."

What the. . heck!?

Handan Sultan was a Crimean princess!?

"Sultan Mehmed Khan is still alive. He sent me here himself." He announced, making me want to cry from joy. The crowd cheered with happiness as if they weren't rebelling some minutes ago.

I knew you were alive Mehmed.

"He also has a message for the traitors." He smirked. Some more people jumped down from somewhere above and I turned back to look at them. They were all dressed in black with weapons in each hand as they ran towards the traitors.

It was a total blood bath. They wiped out every single of those traitors who wanted Orhan on the throne except the guy who yelled on my face how Orhan was more befitting to be a Sultan.

Selim Giray dragged him towards me before he threw that dog in front of me. "Speak, you filthy dog. Apologise to Sultanam and tell her everything. Now!"

"Apologise? And to her? No way." The man said, making Selim Giray kick him on his abdomen. He coughed out some blood but instead of crying and apologising he started laughing like a maniac.

"Sultanam, he is with Şehzade Orhan. They together tried to kill Hünkarım by damaging the ship Hünkarım was on. Luckily Zülfikar Pasha saved Hünkarım but Şehzade Orhan managed to escape." Selim Giray informed me and I nodded as I took in his information. That bastard will pay for it.

He coughed out more blood but he kept on laughing like a maniac, irritating me more. Selim seemed to sense my irritation before he turned towards the Janissaries. "Lock him up in the dungeon. I'll deal with him later."

The Janissaries bowed before lifting him up before dragging him away. "Hünkarım is safe. . . for now. But have you ever thought about your son Osman?" He said and everyone standing there froze.

"What? What did you just say?" I asked calmly.

"Halime Sultan, you know Hafsa Sultan. You knew she was a threat to you but still then you send your son with them? What a foolish move." He laughed out loud.

"She won't do anything. He's an Ottoman prince. She knows better not to mess with the members of the dynasty. She will never." I said to him, more like assuring myself. She won't, will she? No. She better not.

"She must have already done it." He replied.

"Take him away aghas. What are you all waiting for?" Selim yelled at the Janissaries before turning towards me.

"Sultanam-" Selim was about to tell me something when a man came riding his horse before stopping some steps away from us. He jumped down from the horse before kneeling down before me. It was dark but I could see all wounded and blood that was oozing out of his mouth and chest.

"Sult. . . Sultanam. Şehzade. . . . Şehzade Osman. . . "

"What happened? What happened to Osman!" I asked as I kneeled down in front of him. "For Allah's sake, say something!" I yelled.

"They tried to kill Hümaşah Sultan and they took Ayşe Sultan and Şehzade Osman with them." He answered finally.

"Who." I asked as tears threatened to roll down my eyes.

"Speak agha Speak. Who did it!?" Selim Giray yelled as he grabbed the man from his collar before picking him up.

"Hafsa. . . Hafsa Sultan." He replied before passing out. Aghas took the men away to treat him while Selim crouched down beside me.

"Sultanam, don't worry we'll find the Şehzade and the Sultana." He assured me before helping me stand up.

"Sultanam, please don't worry. We'll find them. I promise." Dervish Pasha said.

"They took him away, Dervish." I cried out. "He's still so small. I won't be able to handle it if anything happens to him."

"Please, I beg you. Find him and bring him to me." I pleaded while they looked at me helplessly, nonetheless nodded.

"Yes, Sultanam. We'll bring him back. But please take care of yourself and rest inside." Dervish said but I stopped him.

"No, Pasha. As long as my son is not in my arms neither will I step inside the Palace nor will I eat anything." I declared leaving no space of argument.

"Sultanam, this is a promise from the Khanzade of the Crimean Khanate. I will bring your son back to you." Selim Giray said before he hoped on his horse that one of his men just bought it for him.

"Dervish Pasha, search every house, every forest, leave no stone unturned and send me a message if you find any clue. I'll go to the Old palace." Selim Giray ordered and Dervish nodded. He bowed at me before riding his horse away followed by his men.

Please Allah, please bring my son back to me.
