At some dark points of our life we are forced to make a few choices for ourselves and if at that point we choose to go along with someone else's choice, then life will become a hell.

And Chitra is at such a point, if her heart had a voice it would be screaming loud saying that her husband, Arjuna will never do that. He can never, but her brain was telling her Something else, what if he actually ordered the abortion of their child? What if he had no trust in her? Is Rajamatha not the mother whom she was portraying as?

All she needs is a disagreement from Arjuna and she will believe him, blindly, no words will matter other than his. Just a no from his mouth and she melt straight in his arms, for Arjuna is a righteous king, he will never lie.

When emotions take over your heart and soul that is when you lose the war, you will lose a chance, a chance of winning this war of your overwhelming emotions and finding the truth.

Her heavy feelings of loss and betrayal were eating her up, not even she found out that Meenamma was behind her kidnapping had she felt this deep sense of betrayal. Is it possible to have such heavy feelings for a man in such a short period of time? Maybe the long line of red sindoor in her hairline had something to do with it.

Due to the heavy dose of the medicines she took her eyes felt heavy and droopy. Chitra layed on the heart pillow wiping the flow of tears on her cheek and just like that in seconds Chitra fell into an unconscious state of sleep.

Long warm fingers were caressing her cheek, the touch was so feathery and light making her bend a little to have more of it. A familiar musky smell engulfed her as she slowly opened her eyes.

"I am here, my love." Arjuna said, bending forward pecking her lips and Chitra felt content, those soft lips on hers almost made her forget all the pain she worries. Almost.

He pushed her hair behind her ear and Chitra snapped out the trance and pushed his hand away.

"Don't!" Chitra said, her expression turning stoney and frustrated.

"Chi-"

Chitra raised her palm up, indicating him to stop and he obliged, his expression turned to the one of guilt making Chitra's heart race in fear.

"What happened to my child, Arjuna?" She asked, looking straight in his eyes, the acusion and anger clear in her voice.

And Arjuna's heart broke into a thousand pieces hearing her tone, she will never forgive him but had to take that decision to save her, he won't be able to survive without her!

" I can explain, plea-" Once again Chitra paused his talk as she spoke.

Her lips shivered and her eyes filled up with tears as she slowly said those cruel words Arjuna never wanted to listen, " Did you kill our child?"

The world paused around him, did he? Arjuna questioned himself, did he kill his own child? It was a miscarriage in a case but he had a deadly option, he couldn't chose that loose both of them.

All the broken pieces of soul in him died when he saw Chitra's expression, disgust, it was clearly carved on her face. Her beautiful expressions moulded in pain as tears slipped from her eyes.

"I think I did." Arjuna replied, dying in his own guilt.

Her eyes widened listening to his words and she pushed him backwards placing her both hands on his chest, Arjuna stumbled on the bed as he rested his weight on his left elbow and Chitra stepped down from the bed, running outside the chambers holding her broken pieces of heart.

Days passed away and soon those days turned into dreadful weeks and Chitra never forgave Arjuna. The invisible wall around them could be seen and sensed by the stupidest of stupid people. Arjuna buried himself in dealing with the country issues as after the war both Devampura and Ramapur were won by Abhiras.

So now Abhiras is a huge mighty empire, along with the land so did they get the citizens. Arjuna was not happy with the tax policies which were prevailing in his newly acquired states, as the farmers, daily wage workers and servants were being robbed off in the name of tax and by the noblemen and no countrymen of Abhiras will starve or will face injustice.

While Arjuna kept himself busy dealing with the country matters there at the training grounds Chitra was trying to learn the sword fighting with all the perseverance in the world. She had asked Vikram to teach her sword fighting and he immediately agreed, after the unfortunate incident Chitra was determined that she would never be dependent on anyone as she thought that it was her fault that at the end she lost her child.

The ground was filled with heavy rising sand and sweat, the training ground was in the form of ring with a wooden fencing and in the middle of the ground, our queen Chitra stood firmly with a long sharp sword and slashed it with her opponent's, their swords clinked together and he used his force to push her down, Chitra was confused a little but she strongly remembered Vikram's teachings, so in a swift she twisted her sword with all the strength she had and by the time her opponent could recover from her attack she placed her sword on his neck making him let go of his sword in defeat.

Her sweaty hair was flying in the air due the evening breeze and she removed her sword with a satisfied look on her face.

"Looks like someone has mastered this swordplay?" Vikram said, with a proud smile on his face walking to his sister.

"Of course, I should. I am a queen and I should know how to protect myself." Chitra said in between, taking long breaths as she felt tried.

" What is the use of learning something when you don't even attend the royal hearings to know your countrymens plight?" Vikram asked with a serious expression and Chitra looked at him with anger filled eyes.

He knows why she wouldn't attend the royal courts anymore, he knows that something was wrong with her and Arjuna, but still he made his mission to make her spill out why she was angry with him. How can she tell Vikram that her husband was the cause of her unborn child's death?

Chitra didn't reply to him, instead she walked away from there walking towards her chamber in anger and Arjuna stood somewhere close near the training grounds watching this.

This was his daily routine, attend the royal hearings, have some rice to keep himself alive in a hope that his Chitra will forgive him someday and stand at this spot and watch his wife secretly, he wanted to be the one to teach her this but nonetheless he was happy to see her healthy and strong.

Arjuna's head dropped in disappointment as he saw her walk away, he should just kill this vikram because of something he said Chitra left earlier than usual. He will have to wait for one whole day to get to see her face again, cursing Vikram Arjuna as he walks back to his chambers.

Chitra took a warm bath to get rid of all dirt and sand sticking to her, the wound on her neck was gradually healing but sadly a small scar was forming. She was surprised to see Shridar standing near her chamber entrance.

Shridar was liking to spend more time with her than his aunt Apsara and she didn't complain, this boy was just a bundle of sweetness and the times she spent with him made her forget all the worries in her life.

Chitra slowly bent down to his level, kneeling down and smiling, she asked him, " What is my prince doing outside?"

" I am bored!" He complained and shrugged his shoulders, it pained Chitra to see that Shridar was not missing his father and once when she asked him about it he replied saying that there were days when he didn't see his father, Aditya for months.

Chitra humed lightly tapping her chin as she asked, " How about a bedtime story?"

"Oh no!" Shridar facepalmed loudly saying that. Chitra's mouth hung low seeing his reaction, of course it was a fact that she would grab him every night and put him to bed by narrating a different story every night.

Maybe, she was over stuffing him with her stories. So she changed her plan as she asked, "Then how about we play some game?"

"Yayy!" Shridar shrieked in excitement smiling, " I will go get my friend Mandhara and we will play the blindfold game!" Shouting he ran away to get his friend.

"Slowly!" Chitra shouted behind him, he is such a naughty boy, Chitra thought smiling to herself as she walked inside her chambers.

After a few minutes Chitra found herself standing in the middle of royal gardens with a red dupatta in her hands.

Beside Shridar stood a young girl, she would around seven years and stood frightened as she looked at Chitra as she slowly bent to Shridar's ear level and whispered in a low voice, " Are you stupid? She is our queen, not your friend!"

Chitra laughed at her tone and patted her head, saying " No problem Mandhara! Now shall we begin this game?"

The game was on full fledged as Chitra was swirling around to catch those two trouble makers, how tough can the game be with these little kids? But no, they were more than trouble, it was really hard to even sense in which direction they were running.

And she felt a slight touch of long fingers on her waist, wait a second? Those fingers definitely do not belong to Shirdar, then was it Mandhara? After a few seconds she again felt those long fingers run down her neck and a small pinch on her lower waist. What the! She swiftly removed her blind fold and looked around and found Arjuna walking towards her.

"How dare you touch me!" Chitra shouted angrily as he walked towards her.

"What are you talking about?" He stood in front of her with a confused expression on his face, his expression looked so serious that she actually believed that it was not him, but Chitra can swear it on herself that it was his touch, she will never forget his touch.

"You pinched me!" She accused him as her frown deepened.

Arjuna laughed loudly catching his stomach as he asked, " I don't know what you are talking about, are you confessing that you are imagining my touch?"

Her nostrils flared in embarrassment as her cheeks turned pink, "Forget it." She said looking everywhere but not at him, "Why are you here?" She asked, folding her hands over her chest.

"Rajmatha has ordered our presence, she has something important to discuss." Arjuna said, looking at her.

" I don't-"

"It is not a request of your mother-in-law, Chitra. It is an order of a Rajmatha of this nation and we are bound to follow her orders at any cost."

Chita stopped her resistance as she stepped forward ready to go and that was when she saw the faint shadow of Arjuna and Shridar high-fiving in happiness. What the hell? Was she tricked?

"Thank you kid." Arjuna whispered laughing, ruffling Shridar's hair and Chitra saw this from the corner of her eye.

These two! They fooled her together? She shook her head in annoyance with embarrassment as she angrily walked forward and Arjuna was tailing behind her, with a large goofy smile on his face.
