I've been avoiding Mehmed since morning while he kept on trying to talk to me. Gosh. This sucks.

He kissed me.

He freaking kissed me.

But that is not what is bothering me. The thing that is making me want to jump off a cliff is. . . . I kissed him back.

“Andria Hatun. You seemed distracted today.” Sumbul agha said as we strolled towards the rose garden. Mehmed took Sumbul agha with us and he'll be staying here until Hünkarım returns.

“I'm just bored.” I lied as I bend down to pick a flower that was blooming among the roses. Daisy. “What are you doing among the roses. You little imposter.” I smiled at the little flower that stood strong among the roses.

“So, you talk with the flowers but you won't talk to me?” He replied in a husky voice and I instantly jumped back colliding into him.

“Mehmed, you scared me.” I slapped his chest as I scowled at him before standing up straight. I noticed Sumbul agha was no more standing there. Great.

“Care to tell me why you are ignoring me.” He asked more like demand and I shook my head innocently.

“I wasn't.”

“Really?” He questioned with his eyebrows raised at me.

“Yes.” I replied with a straight face and he started stepping closer leaving no space between us.

“Then why did you ran out of the room this morning when I called you.” He asked as he leaned down close and I stepped back. He was about to take another step and I stopped him stretching my hand making some space between us.

“I don't like filmy things. I'll take a step back and you'll take one step closer again and again I'll take one step back and again you'll take one step closer and that will go on and on and blah blah blah. I don't like it. If you take another step, I swear I'll forget who you are and punch you.” I said in a one go and he shot me a weird look.

“Crazy woman.” He murmured and I glared at him.

“What did you say?” I scowled at him and he smirked before quickly pulling me by my waist making me crush into him. I yelped at his sudden action.

He lean in close to my ear. “I said you are my crazy woman.” I gulped and my throat went dry. My heart was beating so fast like it was about to rip out of the ribcage. Stupid heart.

“Mehmed. . . . peo. . .people are . . . . watching.” I shuttered and he just hummed before telling. “Let them.”

What the heck is wrong with him.

Wait. Actually you know what? There is nothing wrong with him. It is I. What the heck is wrong with me?

“Mehmed.”

He didn't answer.

“Mehmed, people are watching.” I said glancing at the door man who had a straight face.

“Let them. I don't care. Just stay like this.” He mumbled into my neck as he hugged me. I gently ran my fingers throught his hair and I heard him sigh.

After sometime he pulled away grinning at me and I stood there awkwardly.

“Let's go.” He said before grabbing my hands and started walking. I tried to pull my hand from Mehmed's grasp as we neared the Harem but he had no intention to leave me.

“Attention. His Highness, Şehzade Mehmed is coming.” The door man shouted and everyone stood in line with their heads bowed. They looked at us before throwing me some nasty glare whereas some smiled at me.

“Choose anyone of them to be your hand maiden.” He whispered into my hear before planting a kiss just under my ear and I froze.

Gosh. Is he trying to kill me.

“Mehmed there is no–”

“Just take one.” He cut me off before shoving me inside and trailing close behind me.

Gülfem was glaring at me and at the same time trying her best to expose her breast and seduce Mehmed. Too bad. Mehmed didn't even glance at her way.

Towards the last, I saw a girl looks no older than 16. I walked towards her and she glance up at me before returning her gaze at the ground immediately.

“Mehmed.” I called out and everyone looked at me in horror but Mehmed didn't seemed to care abit.

“Her?” He asked and I nodded.

“Yes.”

He shrugged and turn towards Sumbul agha. “She'll be serving Andria Hatun from now onwards. Get her ready.”

I felt bad for them. They were treated as if they were some kind of things. But that girl seemed happy instead of being sad. Werid.

Mehmed walked out and began talking with Sumbul agha. Maybe giving him instructions Or whatever. It's not like I care.

That girl suddenly went down on her knees and kissed my dress taking me off guard. “Thank you, Sultanam. I'll be honoured to serve you.” She said smiling at me before standing up. I was about to correct her when Gülfem decided to poke her nose in my business.

“She is just a Hatun. Not a Sultana and She'll never be one.” Gülfem hissed glaring at me and I raised my eyebrows at her.

“I don't remember introducing myself as one.” I replied in a duh tone with my eyebrows cocked. Bitch.

Another girl beside her scoffed. “You are nothing but an ugly slave. Şehzadem will probably get tired of you soon.”

“A rich word coming from a mere concubine who's existence is still unkown to Mehmed. Interesting.” I said sarcastically before fully turning towards her with a cold face. “And incase you might have forgotten. I'm a free woman.”

“Andria, let's go.” Mehmed called from the door and I nodded before turning towards those bitches and shooting them a fake smile.

“Addio cagna.” I waved at them in a sarcastic way. They probably don't know the meaning because they were glancing at each other with confusion written all over their face.

“Let's go.” I said to Mehmed before running towards his chamber not caring about him who was running and shouting after me to stop running.

“I said stop.” He grabbed my hands and I scowl at him. “Don't you get tired of running around all the day?”

I rolled my eyes at him. “I was born a runner. And no, running doesn't tire me.” I replied before pulling my arm out of his grasp and started walking towards his chamber.

“I'm going to the hunting lodge tomorrow.” He said as he caught up with me and we walked side by side. Our shoulders slightly brushing against each other's as we walk.

“So?”

“Do you want to join me?” He asked and we stopped walking.

I turned towards him. “Do I get to ride a horse instead of going in a carriage.”

He put his hand under his chin like he was in a deep thought and I rolled my eyes at him. He inspected me from head to toe before speaking. “Can you ride wearing dress. I don't think so?”

I rolled my eyes at him again before walking inside the chamber and he followed. “Who said I was going to wear a dress.”

“Well ok then. I'll take that as a yes. Pack your clothes. We'll be staying there for two nights.” He said before walking out of the chamber.
