“Don't move.” I hissed at Mehmed as I slapped his hands away. He rolled his eyes at me but didn't argue.

I was arranging his Kaftan and robe for him as he was taking forever to do it. Dumb prince.

I put the tulip broach on the right side just below his neckline before clapping my hands. “Done.”

He looked at his reflection in the mirror with satisfied smile. I took his headgears from the table before giving it to him to put it on himself and he took it before putting it on.

“Finally, you're ready on time.” I let out breath in relieve. “Now, come on. If you keep on looking at your appearance in the mirror we'll reach there next year.”

He rolled his eyes at me again.

I swear this guy rolls his eyes more than I do.

“Keep rolling your eyes. Maybe you'll find your small brain back there.” I said as I check my appearance in the mirror for the last time. I'm wearing a green dress pairing it with a tulip necklace and a broach that Hümaşah Sultan gifted me and Sadika Hatun.

“Are you done.” Mehmed asked and I rolled my eyes at him.

“Are you done.” I mimicked making him scowl at me. “Of course. Now lets go.”

I took the dagger from the take before trapping it just below my knee.

“Daggers. Now, why do you need daggers for?” Mehmed asked cocking his eyebrows at me.

“Anything can happen anywhere, Mehmed. We should always be prepared.” I replied as I winked at him.

The wedding was held somewhere in the outskirt of the city so we had to go by carriage.

“Andria, Why don't you come with us.” Hümaşah Sultan asked as soon as we came near the carriage. She was wearing a satin green dress pairing it with a green robe and peacock feather pinned on the robe and a tulip bracelet.

“Ok.”

“No.”

Mehmed and I replied at the same time and I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Why?” Hümaşah Sultan asked with a smile whereas Sadika Hatun and the other girls were giggling at the back.

“She'll come with me, Sultanam.” He replied with a blank face and I shot him an unimpressed look before moving towards Hümaşah Sultan.

“Sultanam, I'll go with you.” I said before turning back and smirking at Mehmed who was glaring at me.

Hümaşah Sultan chuckled at me before nodding and getting into the carriage followed by me and Sadika Hatun.

“So. . .” Sadika Hatun said smirking at me and I raised my eyebrows at her.

“So?” I asked.

“Looks like our Şehzade has fallen into trap.” She said in a serious tone. Trap?

“A trap?” I asked in confusion. Now, what on earth is she really talking about. Do I look like a serial killer? Why do everyone keep on referring me as one? And what trap is she even talking about now.

“Yes. A trap.” She replied.

“Of love.” Hümaşah Sultan added.

They giggled followed by the girl who was sitting beside me and I scowl at them.

“I beg your pardon, Sultanam. But there is no such thing going on.” I replied. ‘Infact, the real reason why your brother want me close to him is because he still think I'll kill you all’ I wanted to add but swallowed my words.

“The truth will be out soon.” She said winking at me and I shook my head while everyone started giggling again.

The whole city was decorated and the people were celebrating and enjoying themself. To be honest, I was amazed. I've never seen anything like this. But whats the use of wasting money and celebrating when the bride was being forced into this.

We reached the place soon followed by Mehmed's carriage and the Sultan's carriage and behind them was the carriage which was carrying the bride and her mother.

Mehmed came and stood beside me making Hümaşah Sultan wink at me and Sadika Hatun smirk.

“Hünkarım.” He bowed his head at the Sultan and I bend down slightly.

“So, you're the woman who saved my Şehzade.” Sultan said as he looked at me from head to toe. He was tall, handsome, fit and fine despite his age. The only thing that betrayed his looks was the big beard that was turning grey.

“Yes, your grace.” I replied and he nodded.

Hümaşah Sultan went and kissed his hand before hugging him. She was a daddy's princess. Of course who won't love her.

Şehzade Selim came and stood beside Sadika Hatun.

Fatma Sultan's face was covered with the red veil so, I couldn't see her face but I know that behind that veil is a helpless woman who is a victim of forced arranged marriage. Her mother, Hafsa Sultan was walking beside her with an arrogant smirk.

I mentally smirk knowing that all her plan will be destroyed by me.

I bend to them slightly making that witch glare at me with hatred and that was enough for me to know that she was the one who sent assassins that night to kill Mehmed.

“Ok. Lets go in.” The Sultan said as he walked in with Hümaşah Sultan followed by Hafsa Sultan and Fatma Sultan.

Another carriage arrived making all four of us stop in our track. The horse man jumped from his horse before running towards the carriage to open it.

I rolled my eyes when Şehzade Orhan stepped out of the carriage with a big grin plastered on his face followed by his favourite concubine, Gülbahar Hatun who was also three months pregnant.

That brainless lady thinks that she is superior than everyone including Sadika Hatun as she thinks Şehzade Orhan will get the throne one day and she'll give birth to a Prince and became a Haseki Sultan maybe a Valide Sultan. Her words not mine.

“Şehzade.” I said. I was about to bow when Mehmed grabbed my hand and I look at him to see him shaking his head at me which went unnoticed by everyone.

“Andria Hatun, I'm glad you're here too.” He said with a shitty grin making me want to puke at him.

“Şehzadem.” Sadika Hatun said without bowing to him too. What's going on here?

“Sadika Hatun.” He said. “It's good to see you again you.”

“You too, Şehzadem.” She replied.

Gülbahar Hatun was giving me a nasty looks and I cocked my eyebrows at her. She didn't said anything but wrapped her hand around Şehzade Orhan's arm.

Does she think I'll steal him from her?

Eww.

“Ok. Let go in before the Ceremony starts.” Şehzade Selim said as he smiled at us before wrapping his arm around Sadika Hatun's waist. Şehzade Orhan and Gülbahar Hatun followed them and Mehmed and I walked behind them.

After the ceremony, we all sat down on a big fluffy pillow infront of a round table for four people. I sat beside Mehmed who had a stone face on. I don't know what's wrong with him.

Sultan and his wife were sitting in a different table a little far from us. Şehzade Selim, Sadika Hatun, me and Mehmed all of us were sitting together near Hümaşah Sultan and Zülfikar Pasha's table.

Şehzade Orhan and Gülbahar Hatun were sitting near the Sultan's table with the newly married couple.

I lean in close towards Mehmed's ear. “Stop glaring at that spoon, Mehmed.” I whispered into he ear and he frown at me but nonetheless put the spoon away.

He turn back glaring at Hafsa Sultan's back. “I knew it. It was her.” He said before turning around to look at others who were already looking at him.

“Did you see the way she was glaring at Andria earlier. She's angry that her plan failed because of Andria.” He spat viciously.

“Mehmed, we all know it's her.” Hümaşah Sultan replied calmly. “But it's of no use. Even if we tell our father she'll manipulate him and fool him with her crocodile tears.”

Şehzade Selim nodded before looking at me. “Just be aware of her, Andria Hatun. She can do anything.”

I nodded.
