《Room 404 | PJM》/35/

There I stood, at the station, all alone. I was visiting my mother who lived in Incheon, pretty close to Seoul. I didn't tell her I was coming, since I wanted it to be a surprise.
My phone buzzed and I had a message from Jimin: "travel safe x". I rolled my eyes and swiped away the notification. Why would he care? He's not my boyfriend anymore.
•
The trip to Incheon only took about 40 minutes. I took a taxi to my mom's house and felt myself getting a bit nervous as I was nearing the house.
I didn't tell her yet about me and Jimin breaking up and I honestly didn't know if I wanted to. She seemed so happy when she heard I finally had a boyfriend and I wouldn't want her worrying about me.
That's it. I decided not to tell her anything.
•
The taxi driver helped me get my baggage out of his trunk and I was now walking towards the front door of my house. I took out my key and opened the door.
The house seemed pretty quiet. Was she not home yet? I started walking around. "Mom?" I called out. No sound. I sighed and decided to make myself some food while I was waiting for her anyway.
•
I was watching a movie when I heard giggles at the front door. That had to be mom. I paused the movie and stood up from the couch when my mom walked in with a man who I did not know.
"Y/n??" She said as she saw me and walked towards me to pull me in a big embrace. "Oh my god, I didn't know you would come!" She happily exclaimed. "I wanted to surprise you."
We stayed in that same position for about 2 minutes when the man behind her coughed to grab our attention.
"Who's this?" I asked. "Oh, I forgot to tell you, this is Geonwoo. He and I have been seeing each other for a while now. I figured you might have been very busy with your studies so I didn't want to tell you the news yet, knowing it might maybe shock you."
I shook my head: "Mom, why would you even be worried about that? I'm so happy for you!" "I'm Y/n", I reached out my hand to Geonwoo. "I've heard a lot about you, Y/n." "Good stuff I might hope", we both chuckled.
"Talking about seeing someone", my mom interrupted, "how are things between you and Jimin?" I gulped, not really knowing what to say. "We're.. doing just fine!" I lied. "Are you sure? You sound a bit uneasy", she said, looking at me with suspicion. "Well, to be honest-" I started as I was interrupted by the doorbell.

"I'll go get it", my mom said and was greeted by the last face I expected to see here.
Jimin.
"Jimin, what a surprise! I didn't know you'd come too!" My mom said and gave him a big hug as if she'd known the boy for ages. He stepped inside, doubt clearly visible on his face. "I wanted to meet the mother of the girl I love more than anything in this world in real life", he said in a very cheesy way.
His face was saying how nervous he was, but the way he was talking so smoothly said something entirely different. I was just observing in shock, not knowing how to react to the situation. Do I smile? Do I cry? Do I grab that motherfucker by the ear and kick him out?
"This is so great!" My mother happily said, "how about we celebrate it by eating our traditional Kimchi tonight?" Geonwoo's face lit up: "Oh hell yeah!"
My mom chuckled and faced me: "Is there something you wanted to say, by the way?" I shook my head: "No, all is wel." "Okay, well how about you and Jimin make the Kimchi together and me and Geonwoo go around town to buy a cake and some welcome presents for you?"
I wanted to say no, not wanting to be alone with Jimin, but he was faster than me to speak up: "Sounds like a great plan, Ms. Y/l/n!" "All right, we'll get going. Good luck with the food!" My mom and Geonwoo left the house.
Great. Now me and Jimin were alone.
As soon as I didn't see my mom and her new partner anymore, I turned to Jimin: "What on earth do you think you're doing here??" I burst out. "I told you Y/n, I want to prove myself to you." "So stalking me is your way of proving yourself?" "I wanted to surprise you! And I want a chance to talk, away from all the drama." He put his hand on my shoulder.
"The drama is right here, Jimin", I sighed. "Then at least give me a chance to talk." "Can we do this later? They're not going to be gone for that long and I don't want to cry in front of my mom." "Okay, let's try to make Kimchi."
•
Making Kimchi together existed of me basically bossing Jimin around. I was instructing him how to do everything according to my mom's recipe and helped him only where needed. It was so funny seeing him struggle to follow my instructions that I sometimes forgot how mad I was supposed to be at him.
I was cutting up the beef that was gonna go in the Bulgogi as our main dish when I suddenly felt two strong arms wrap around me. It felt so good, but I really did not want to give in. After all, he DID lie to me.

"Jimin, please let me go", I whispered. "I'm sorry." He let go of me and there was an awkward silence between us. I was preparing the Bulgogi while Jimin took the pot of Kimchi from the fire.
"We're home!" I heard my mom yell from the hallway. "Welcome back!" Jimin yelled. "Mmm, it smells so good in here", Geonwoo said, smelling the Kimchi and beef. "We're almost done", I say proudly while I take the pan from the fire and do the plating.
"Did you guys find a nice cake?" "Yes, we found your favourite!" My mom said. "Oehh great!"
•
We were all enjoying the food when mom suddenly stood up and went to the kitchen. Me, Geonwoo and Jimin all looked at each other in confusion.
Mom soon came back with a few bottles of Soju and 4 glasses. "Mom giving me alcohol? Who are you and what have you done with my mother", I chuckled at Geonwoo. "Hey, don't look at me! She said she wanted to celebrate", he put his arms up in defense.
I looked at Jimin and he had this guilty look on his face when he saw the alcohol bottles. Is he okay?
Mom put 2 soju bottles down for everyone, but I saw the bag next to the table that was still carrying more. We started drinking and talking a bit.
I remembered how low my alcohol tolerance was, when I already felt tipsy after the first bottle. However, I did not want anyone to notice and just kept on drinking.
I had so much fun with my mom and Geonwoo, he really seemed to make my mom happy. They told me and Jimin that they were gonna sleep and now we were left alone downstairs.
I wanted to stand up and go to my room, but I felt too tipsy to walk straight. "Do you want any help?" Jimin asked, noticing my struggle. I looked at him with my face red from both the booze and embarrassment. For some reason he looked 10 times hotter right now. I must have been really drunk.
Knowing I had no other option, I nodded my head and he carried me upstairs, bridal style. "Which room is yours?" he asked and I pointed to the room at the end of the hallway.
He carefully placed me on my bed and turned around to leave my room. "Where do you think you're going?" I asked him. "I figured it would be best if I leave you be." "Well, I thought we were going to talk." Jimin sighed: "You're drunk."
I grabbed his wrist and pulled him towards my bed. "Sit your ass down." Jimin obeyed and held my hand. "You sure you want to hear what I have to say right now?" He asked a bit unsure.
"Look Jimin, I don't know why you're so scared of me being drunk but even though you're slightly turning and I might feel a bit horny right now, I still know that you're you. So you better speak if you came all this way for me."
Jimin's sad face suddenly turned into a slight smirk: "You're the horny type of drunk?" He grabbed my waist. I decided to give in a bit and I sat on his lap, facing him. "Yes, so speak."
Jimin sighed. "Okay, well, as you probably could have guessed already, you're not my first girlfriend", he started. "My ex, her name was Soohan. We were together for just over a year." Jimin's eyes seemed to become a bit watery. I rubbed his cheeks, trying to comfort him a bit, but stayed absolutely quiet.
"We went to parties a lot together and had a lot of fun, but at one point she started changing. She started going out a lot with other boys. I always trusted her enough to think that they were nothing but friends, but one day, when we went to a party together, she disappeared. Yoongi told me that he saw her going upstairs with some dude.
Ofcourse, I tried not to freak out, but as her boyfriend, I still wanted to check if everything was alright. I found her, in her room, having sex with a guy. I caught them. And you know what excuse she gave for cheating on me? She said she was too drunk and that she wasn't thinking clearly at that moment.
And I know I wasn't fair Y/n. I know it was not your fault, I know you've been nothing but loyal. But right then, that moment, after you kissed that guy when we were having a fight, I got scared to get hurt again. So I didn't tell you about the party 2 weeks ago, I'm sorry."
I was speechless. I tried taking in everything he said. We stayed quiet for a few minutes.
"You know, I understand everything you've just said and all, but I think I have a bit too much alcohol in my system to say anything serious right now", I spoke up looking at him, still on his lap. He chuckled and gave me a slight smirk: "Anything serious? Then what's something you can still say?"
I pushed him down on my bed and put my lips close to his ear.
"Fuck me", I whispered.
