DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN NARUTO Thank you to ' buttscuzyolo ' for commenting :) It really brought me out of the deep dark hole that I was digging myself into after my math exam where all I wanted to do was listen to my music and sleep. Hope you enjoy this chapter :)

Kida's POV

"... Now please exit my office. Both of you."

Kakashi turned around and started walking towards the door.

"Are you serious?" I asked in a monotone voice as I looked over my shoulder.

He looked back at me confused before realising that I was still bound tightly in rope. A closed eye smile adorned his face as he sweat dropped and scratched the back of his head before replying in an even tone that matched my own "Oh, right".

He walked back over to me and within seconds, the rope had disappeared from my upper torso. I looked around for a moment, but I have no idea where it went after that. I rubbed my arms and glared slightly at Kakashi who was slouching slightly and smiling nervously.

Excellent parenting, forgets to untie his daughter.

The Hokage sighed from where he sat behind his desk, looking even more annoyed. "Don't make me repeat myself." He said in an alarmingly calm voice that made Kakashi and I both walk quickly towards the double doors.

We both opened a door each, which was followed by small yelps and a thundering crash that made the building shake and dust fill the air. As the dust settled, Kakashi and I looked down to see Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura all lying in a pile on the floor looking dazed.

Kakashi and I looked at each other before stepping over the three stunned genin with ease and starting to walk down the corridor and out of the building in silence.

The sun was starting to go over the hill as we walked down the street towards Kakashi's apartment. I walked on his left side, keeping a good metre distance between us. He had his hands in his pockets and was walking lazily. People stared at us as we walked past and commented to each other on how alike we looked, I kept my head down and ignored them all. Kakashi also ignored them, keeping his visible eye on the path ahead.

I could feel Kakashi shifting his gaze towards me, I looked up to meet his gaze but he quickly averted his eyes back to the path ahead of him so I could only see his covered eye and the side of his masked face. I turned my eyes back to the ground as we continued walking.

Then I felt it again, he had his head turned slightly so he could stare at me from the corner of his one visible eye. I looked up quickly, but was too late, he was already looking away.

This continued for another few minutes before I finally got frustrated, my right eye started twitching whenever I could feel him looking at me and I could feel an irritation mark growing bigger on my fore head, it felt like he was evaluating me which I did not appreciate. I snapped my head up at his quickly averted gaze, I cracked.

"Oh my God, What!?" I barked at him, I flicked my fringe to the side allowing both of my eyes to glare at him as we continued walking at our leisurely pace.

"...So what's with the mask?" He asked calmly in response to my outburst, turning his gaze fully to me.

"Same goes for you" I replied, turning my eyes back to the path and breathing slowly through my nose to regain my emotionless composure.

silence

"What are you trying to hide?" He asked in an even tone, still staring at me.

"My face, obviously..." I stated, keeping my eyes on the ground.

"Is there a reason why?" He inquired further. Which annoyed the hell out of me...

"Maybe I just like to cover my face, besides, I look bad-ass, you just look like a paedophile"

Kakashi stopped in his tracks as an anime arrow pierced through his chest before he sweat dropped and hung his head in despair, black and blue emo lines hung over his face.

I just kept walking.

He recovered himself, straightening up again and regaining his emotionless expression. He caught up to me and grabbed my arm, I looked at him confused, but he just guided me towards an apartment building which I'm assuming he resided in. Letting go of my arm, he walked up the stairs ahead of me. We made it to one of the rooms on the second floor and Kakashi unlocked the door, walking in first and turning on the light.

I stepped in hesitantly and scanned the whole room. It appeared to be the main living room, with a couch and a coffee table that was littered with magazines, some of which had half naked women on the covers, there was a window covered by a green and yellow patterned curtain and under the window was a small circular dining table with three chairs set around it. There was an open doorway that led into what appeared to be a kitchen. And there was a small hallway next to the kitchens doorway that branched off into more rooms.

Kakashi seems to have noticed the magazines on the table because he hurriedly collected them in a pile before disappearing down the hallway and returning without them. "Sorry about the mess" his tone sounded uneven and he scratched the back of his head as I stared at him emotionlessly.

Silence

Kakashi broke the silence, thankfully, "So, uh, this is a one bedroom apartment, so you can use my room and I'll just crash on the couch I guess" He gestured to the couch that looked way too short for him to lay down on.

"It's fine, you can keep your room, I'll sleep on the couch" I sat down on the couch testing out its comfortableness. It was soft, much better than the tree branches and abandoned buildings that I had slept in before living with Ms Takashima.

Kakashi looked uncertain so I followed up with "I'll fit better on the couch anyway." I gave him a closed eye smile which surprised me, and when I opened my eyes again I could tell that it surprised him as well.

He smiled back at me, "Well, ok then" and he walked into the kitchen. I took off my back pack and slid it under the coffee table, I decided to keep the katana and weapons pouch on me out of habit since I've been on the road again. I heard a tap running in the kitchen, I looked to the doorway as it ceased and Kakashi emerged with a glass of water.

I eyed him and the glass suspiciously as he approached the couch and held it out to me. "Are you thirsty?" he asked with smile. After hesitating slightly, I took it and immediately set it down on the table. I see what he's doing.

"It's rude to neglect a drink that's been offered to you" Kakashi said, sitting down on the other side of the couch, still smiling.

"Thank you, but I'm not thirsty" I said, looking in front of me and keeping my face emotionless.

"But you were running around a lot today and it's good to stay hydrated" He pushed the glass further towards me on the table. Who does he think he's fooling?

"You were also running around a lot today, aren't you thirsty?" I pushed the glass further towards him on the table. Two can play at this game.

He suddenly lost his smile and it turned into a stern glare. "Please take of your mask" He voice carried a hint of danger in it. He pretty much just dared me to rebel.

I turned my head towards him and gave him a closed eye smile "How about no" I said in an overly enthusiastic voice that left an irritation mark on his forehead. "How about you take off your mask" I continued. I really did want to see his face...

"Ok we'll both pull down our masks at the same time." Kakashi compromised.

My eyes widened in surprise for a moment before I regained my emotionless composure. "Ok..." I agreed hesitantly, eyeing him with suspicion.

"Good, on three..." Kakashi stated, I nodded in agreement. Kakashi began the countdown.

"...One..." We both reached up to our masks.

"...Two..." We both pinched the cloth that sat on the bridge of our noses.

"...Three..." Neither of us did a damn thing...

silence

"You didn't do it" I said accusingly.

"Neither did you" Kakashi replied sighing.

Silence engulfed the room as we sat awkwardly on the couch staring ahead of us rather than at each other. Damn it, he's the adult! He shouldn't have backed out of the deal!

Kakashi shifted on his side of the couch and turned to face me again. I shifted my eyes towards him. He reached up towards his mask again, I snapped my head towards his giving him my full attention. Good, he's acting like an adult and being mature about this. I was completely entranced by what he was about to do, I flicked my fringe to the side again and watched wide eyed.

And just as he started to pull the mask down his nose, he lunged for me. I sprung backwards of the couch, narrowly avoiding his outstretched hands and landed in a crouch on the ground, glaring up at his smiling, still masked, face peering over the edge of the couch.

I lunged at him from the ground and tackled him on the couch. My hand didn't hesitate as it reached out to his surprised face and pulled down his mask to reveal... another mask!!

"What!?" I yelled, he grinned at me from under his second mask. "Isn't it cool?" He asked grinning wider as he took advantage of my own surprise, flipping me off the couch. I closed my eyes as I fell and landed on the floor with a thud.

I opened my eyes surprised that my mask was still on and Kakashi was peering over the edge of the couch smiling at me, with his second mask off, revealing his face. His headband was straightened, revealing his left eye with a scar over it, he kept that eye closed.

I slowly reached my hand up to my mask and pulled it down to my neck. Never breaking my eyes away from Kakashi's face. My features were a bit more delicate than his because I'm a girl, but we're still the same.

Authors Note: I'm sorry everybody, but I'm not going to write what's under the mask. It should always be a mystery, it is what makes him Kakashi. Also, because Kida looks like Kakashi, I can't write what's under her mask either. I'll leave it to your own imaginations, whether that imagination depicts them as having tiny mouths, buck teeth, blip lips or as being ABSOLUTELY AND IRREFUTABLY ATTRACTIVE ;) It's up to you. Cya for now :) Now on with the story.

"So, what do you want for dinner?" Kakashi asked sitting up from the couch and walking into the kitchen, replacing his headband back over his left eye but keeping his mask off.

"I'm not really hungry" I called out to him, standing from the ground and deciding to keep my own mask off until he puts his back on.

He turned around in the doorway of the kitchen "You don't look like you eat enough, you should eat more" He looked concerned as he said it.

"You haven't been a part of my life until today, you wouldn't know, you weren't there" I said it challengingly with a light smirk as I looked at him.

"I was there for the important part" His face remained expressionless as he said it.

"..." I gave him a confused look. I saw the humour in his eyes that refused to show on his face as he leant against the door frame with his arms folded over his chest.

"Conception..." He stated, not breaking eye contact.

Oh. He. Did. Not. Just. Say. That.

I felt the blood rush into my face as I stared at him, mortified. Before I could reply to his obscene comment there was a knock at the door. Thank God.
