A/N Yes, IT IS FINALLY HERE! The end (almost) of this crazy rollercoaster of a book. *Crys a little* I hope you're having a good read!
"Ah everyone's here, plus Linu?" Tubbo said, looking over the group of 7. "Holy s***, there's a lot of you."
Everyone laughed and then Tubbo started to hand out ghost hunting tools to everyone.
"I'll get everyone up to speed, we're going to try and get this thing over with before the stream." Ranboo said and began to explain what was going to happen. "Okay everyone, except Tubbo, Lani, and Tommy, spread out across the house and keep on the lookout. While Hexis is doing this ritual thing the all ghosts in a 3-mile radius will be drawn towards the house. For this to- to- to..."
Tubbo walked up to Ranboo, "Come on, you have to stay conscious as long as possible. Finish explaining please!"
"S-s0rRy." Ranboo said distortedly and then tried his best to finish. "For this to wrO-oK it can't be interrupted. So, I'll need you guys to ssssTALL as long as posS!ble for Hexi$. TrY n0t to D!e!"
Linu sighed, "No need to prove anything to me, if this is all real and stuff, I'll see it in just a couple of minutes."
Ranboo and Tubbo looked at each other.
"Why couldn't everyone else have been like that." Tubbo asked.
Ranboo sighed, "D0#'T Kn0W, ! g#u$$?"
Tubbo stared at him, "Maybe you should stop talking, your voice sounds like f***ing metal scraping against a cheese grater.
"S0r&Y." Ranboo said and grabbed his stomach.
"Ranboo!" Tubbo grabbed his arms, "Ranboo please, fight back as long as you can!"
Ranboo looked back up at Tubbo weakly. His mouth had been distorted and bent into a toothy smile. Ranboo groaned.
"!T H^%T$." Ranboo whined.
Tubbo hated seeing Ranboo like this. He frowned, then tried to comfort him with a sad smile. Linu stepped into the room, his gaze landing on the two.
"Yep, that's definitely not normal." Linu nodded after he saw Ranboo's distorted face.
Tubbo looked up at him with an unamused frown.
"Sorry, I just came to tell you that everyone is in position." Linu said, and then headed back into the hall.
"Alright Bossman, it's time." Tubbo said sadly, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
Both of them were about done with this whole Ghost Hunting stuff.
Tubbo closed his eyes and Hexis warned just before they swapped, "You're on your own after this."
"I know." Tubbo muttered, Hexis completely in control now.
"You ready Ranboo?" Hexis asked, Ranboo nodded groaning.
Spikes rose from his back, and his fingers had changed into claws. They didn't have much time.
"HERE WE GO!" Hexis announced and then started to chant.
A large multi-colored pentagon grew over the two in the air. Strange blue, green, purple, red, and white symbols appeared and began to revolve around them, and a black aura was pulled from Ranboo. Ranboo screamed, everyone could hear him, but even though they were horrified they stood on guard. Except for Billzo, he fainted. Ranboo continued to wail. A silence and chill ran through the house as his pained calls faded. It was dead silent, and then there was an uproar. Tubbo fell limp on the floor next to Ranboo, slowly getting up a moment later. He grabbed his head, he felt exhausted. Tubbo also felt something on his head, horns of some sort? Tubbo rushed over to a mirror.

"What the h*ll?!" Tubbo muttered to himself.
He had two ram-shaped vine horns with some leaves on them, and his eyes were still pitch black. He had rhombus-shaped pupils that glowed neon green too. He turned back around as he heard Ranboo groan. Ranboo was a full monster-ghost thing, but when he saw Tubbo he didn't attack him, he didn't say anything either. He just kind of stared at him confused.
"You alright Ranboo?" Tubbo asked, Ranboo leaning his head to the side curiously, "Ranboo?"
Tubbo walked over to him and crouched down so he was face to face with Ranboo.
"Bossman?... Ranboo are you okay?" Tubbo asked once again.
Ranboo just kind of sat there looking at Tubbo like a stray puppy.
"F$n!&?" Ranboo growled, Tubbo looked at him with a worried expression.
"Ranboo! Ranboo come'on, it's not time for jokes." Tubbo frowned, growing very nervous and worried.
Ranboo pushed himself up on all fours, "P!4y?"
Tubbo stood up, backing away a little.
"Oh no, it's all gone wrong... Ranboo! RANBOO! RANBOO PLEASE!" Tubbo cried, his stomach filling up with dread.
Aimsey and Tommy rushed into the room, whistles in hand.
"What happened, is everything okay?!" Tommy questioned, as he looked over the two.
"We heard screaming, and Lani is with Billzo by the way." Aismey said as she entered.
Tommy rushed over to Tubbo, who was having a lowkey panic attack in the corner. While Aimsey watched Ranboo with frightened eyes.
"Are you okay?" Tommy asked Tubbo and tried to calm him down.
Tubbo began to tear up, "Ranboo isn't... He isn't responding, I don't know what happened! Something must've gone wrong! He-He doesn't- It's like he's forg- Or maybe he's just unable to think properly? He seemed to recognize me, but he wasn't able to talk though...
Tommy looked back at Ranboo, who was just sitting there. Tommy helped Tubbo up and then walked over to Ranboo.
"Hey Big Man, are you...?" Tommy reached out his hand, but then pulled it away unsure.
Ranboo stared at him, "D0#^t K#0%? D4#%3r? H3!p?"
Tommy blinked, confused, and now understood what Tubbo had meant.
"Okay, then." Aimsey said, "Uhm, it doesn't seem like there have been any ghosts yet."
Tubbo and Tommy turned to look at Aimsey.
"You've just jinxed us, Aimsey!" Tubbo sighed, the house shaking suddenly.
Everyone was now in the hall outside, Tubbo, Tommy, Aimsey, and Ranboo joined them quickly after the house shook.
"We've got five ghosts incoming." Lani said, Linu was blowing his whistle like crazy.
Linu turned back to them, the whistle in his teeth.
"Come'on guys! I need some help here!" Linu called, Tubbo disappearing and reappearing beside him.
Tubbo kicked at the shadowy shape of a phantom of some sort, the ghost falling back in surprise.
Tubbo laughed, "HA! I didn't think that would work!"

Ranboo watched Tubbo fight off the ghosts for a few minutes. Something lighting up in his brain.
Something feels off. I should help him? Why was that thought a question? Why was that thought a question? What am I doing? Why do I feel like I'm doing something bad? I should help him.
Ranboo lunged at one of the ghosts, the ghost howling as he knocked it down. The ghost had left after that attack, but several others had joined. The rest of the group did their best to fend off the ghosts, Tubbo and Ranboo doing most of the work. Then the house shook again, inky darkness enveloping everyone, and the loudest roar any of them had ever heard filled the house. Everything seemed to bend around the group and they were left with a single dark hallway leading to an even darker room. The world seemed to splash and mirror around them. It was like something out of a horror movie.
"Everyone okay?" Tubbo called, making sure everyone was still with them- even Billzo.
Lani sat down, "We should rest a bit."; Everyone agreed with Lani and they all sat down and regrouped.
"So what's with Ranboo?" Billzo questioned, everyone, turning to look at Ranboo.
Ranboo cocked his head up when he heard his name. He was on his knees crawling around.
"#6%$$?" Ranboo smiled, everyone looked at him confused.
"We don't know for sure, I think he just lost a lot of brain cells." Tommy said, joking a bit.
Tubbo frowned and bit his lip. Tommy watched him, turning to him.
"It's okay, we'll figure out how to fix him." Tommy smiled, "I miss him too."
Tubbo gave him a weak smile and then drooped a little.
"Hey peoples, I just have to warn you that the Boss is in that next room." Hexis said through Tubbo.
Tubbo scoffed, "Excuse you, I was in the middle of mourning!"
Hexis gave him a dry laugh and then Tubbo straightened again.
"Anyways-" Tommy began with a mischievous smile, "You ready for the Ultimate British Boss Battle!... Pulse Ranboo."
-+-+-+-
Everyone stood ready, except Billzo, the Boss in front of them. It was seething black and swarmed by other ghosts of all kinds. Tubbo and Ranboo stood at the front. It was time for the battle to begin.
"This is gonna be awesome." Tommy smiled, and then everyone raced into battle.
Linu, Lani, Aimsey, and Tommy all took on the smaller ghosts. Using whatever ghost tools they had. While Tubbo and Ranboo battered the Boss with blow after blow. Ranboo tackled the Phantom's legs and arms, Tubbo raining kicks and punches on its body and head. Tubbo's hands and legs were glowing turquoise, and he was also pushing back ghosts with vines. All while Billzo cowered in a corner.
"We've gotten most of them back! Go and help Tubbo!" Lani ordered Aimsey and Tommy, both nodding.
The two took out their crosses, the Boss cried out in pain as they did. Tubbo took this opportunity to shoot several vines through him. The Boss screamed, and without giving Tubbo time to react, slapped him out of the air as Tubbo was jumping back. Tubbo tumbled to the floor unconscious, Tommy bolting over to his side to make sure he was okay. Ranboo stared at the two.
It hurt them. It hurt me. Haven't I had enough? Why is it still here? It should be gone. It should be dead forever. It should be erased.
Ranboo roared, it sounded distorted and off, like a demonic being's war cry. Everyone turned to look at him, and everyone watched as Ranboo dove into the inky black mass of the Phantom. He was gone. Tubbo stared at the creature in both horror and pure rage. Tubbo's entire body was glowing now, a pure mass of neon. Now everyone was watching him, as he floated into the air and began to pelt the inky beast with hate-filled hits.
=Mean While=
Ranboo felt weightless inside the Boss Ghost's void of and inside. He felt more complete than before. Ranboo looked down at his hands, and felt his face; He wasn't in that awful ghost thing anymore. He was normal. Then he realized something.
I can think straight, that was what was wrong. My thoughts were all jumbled before.
He could tell, his movements didn't seem all foreign or strange. He felt like himself again. Ranboo looked around, discovering a weird purple sand-looking sphere.
This is what I was looking for? How did I even know this would be here? Strange.
Ranboo knew what to do. So all this hell would be over. No one else had to get hurt. No more nightmares. No more ghosts. No more death. Ranboo grabbed the sphere, and he smashed it in between his hands. It burst, the void walls around him collapsing. The room returned to its normal living room state. That was it. That was all it took. Everyone was staring at him, the bright neon Tubbo, Tommy, Lani, Linu, Aimsey, Billzo, and even the translucent form of Hexis.
It was over.

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. Many a story has spawned from these two tales. Countless retellings mixing in their own fictions. But all stories spawn with a kernel of truth to them, and the story of Davy Jones is no exception. Those who've met the legendary seaman and his ghostly ship might call him a ferryman, escorting the drowned to their respective afterlives. Others might call him a devil, meting punishment on those deserving. The true story is always slightly different. Davy Jones is a ferryman, but not one for the afterlife, as Walter finds out. No, Davy Jones manages those who die at sea while in debt, and Walter died with a lot of debt. Unable to pay, Davy puts Walter to work. The specter has just the job for the dead college graduate. Another god, Sod, needs an afterlife for his new world. Davy tasks Walter with the job. Suddenly, Walter finds himself having to run a fledgling underworld with little instruction from Sod. To top it off, the denizens of Sod's world have their own ambitions to achieve godhood, and they won't take kindly to Sod's newest employee shaking up the status quo.
