《Outcasts》Job Time

When I woke up, I felt another person next to me, and that was Norton.
"G-get off!" I said pushing Norton off my bed
"Owch! I was just scared okay?!" Norton groaned as he got off my bed and stretched. This is a weird ghost...Anyways I went downstairs to go get myself some breakfast and saw Norton put on some music and dance with himself. He's getting himself comfortable here but I cant have that, my life and his undead life will be in danger!
"Dont get too comfortable here, I dont want you to risk your life." I insisted as I made myself tea and read the local newspaper. Hmm, nothing too special. That inventor just made a new life changing invention so thats not too surprising considering he's full of ideas all the time.
"I wont get too comfortable, dont worry." Norton smiled. "Say, why dont we just explore around town. The ghost hunters arent around until noon."
"You sure?" I wondered.
"Yeah, my friend knows their schedules." Norton replied as he lightly pat my back. Feeling a ghost pat my back is weird, but funny. After I finished the dishes, we decided to head out and walk around town. Hopefully Norton dosent get caught....If he does, I have to exterminate him myself...
"Oooh, some nice clothing! You should go check it out..." Norton whispered. "I'll hide somewhere while you go find something you want!"
"Thats what I was planning, now hide." I scolded as I entered the shop. The shop gave me a very interesting vibe, and I really liked a lot of the clothing here, but I couldnt take it all. So, I took about 200 pounds worth of stuff, that I know damn well I'll wear around town. This clothing will not go to waste. I needed new clothing anyways.
"Woah, you gotta show me what you got Andrew, that stuff looks real cool!" Norton gasped as he followed me to a cafe.
"Be more quiet please, I dont want you to get killed." I whispered. "Now, I'm gonna get some lunch. Just, head back home okay? I dont want you to risk your damn life."
"Fine, I'll do that then." Norton huffed as he flew back to my house. It wasnt that far of a walk since this is a small town. I decided to order a cup of coffee and just chillax for an hour, with plenty of time to spare. I just hope Norton is doing alright. He worries me a lot, this invasion is really stressing him out. I just know it..

"Care for more coffee, sir?" The waitress asked
"That would be great, thank you." I smiled as she took my cup and got me more coffee. This was my third cup, after this im just gonna head out and give her a tip. "This is all for today, thank you miss."
"Of course, just let me know when your ready for the bill." The waitress smiled back
"Oh I'm ready dont worry." I replied as I drank my coffee. I usually put creamer and no sugar since I dont really like sugar. Once the bill was paid and I drank the coffee down, I headed out and walked home. Norton was once again, dancing to music. Does he really enjoy dancing to music? How funny, I like that he's able to keep himself busy without me having to get pissed.
"Oh, sorry for using your phonograph so much! I just have always been a fan of music and dancing, I just wish I had someone to dance with..." Norton sighed as he looked at me. I blushed just a little bit and left the room and went upstairs. "Sorry if I startled you, Drew.."
"Its alright, I just feel we've gotten a bit too close...." I worry. "Ive never been this close with someone before, so I apologize if I get scared a lot. Im just not used to friendships..."
"Theres nothing to worry about, okay?" Norton smiled as he hugged me gently
"R-really? Thank you, Norton.." I smiled as I hugged him back. "Im just worried about you being exterminated, and I dont want that to happen..."
"I know, I'm trying my best to be safe. Dont worry." Norton replied as he caressed my face. I blushed real badly . "Haha, you get flustered easily!"
"Oh god I look even more like a monster.." I frowned.
"Nah, you look like one of those cute little bunnies!" Norton laughed.
"A-are you making fun of me you asshole?!" I yelled.
"No! Its a compliment! What, were you not complimented by your mom?!" Norton shrugged
"I was, but people constantly tormented me for my looks..." I sobbed. "I was called a monster, and my left eye was burned by the church because they thought my albinism was a curse from God..."

"Your perfect the way you are, Andrew. People are just assholes, dont listen to em." Norton smirked as he pat my back.
"Fine, but I'm not perfect. Y-you are..." I blushed.
"Aww your blushi~ng!" Norton giggled.
"Shut up!" I groaned. "Im gonna go take care of the plants outside, I'll be out in the back if you need me.."
"Alright, jeez." Norton sighed as he flew to my room and decided to rest. Once I got outside, I lit a smoke pipe and began watering the flowers. I do feel bad for what I did to Norton, but I didnt kow what to do. Was he flirting with me? We've known each other for two days and already he's flirting with me? Interesting man this guy is...
"Norton, I do apologize for what I caused. You alright?" I said after I spent an hour watering the flowers and taking care of the mini garden in my back-yard.
"Yeah I'm fine. No worries!" Norton smiled. "Look, your a great guy theres no need to apologize over everything, mmk?"
"Look I know, Its a shitty habit and i hate it. Half the time im not even sorry, though I am truly sorry about me breaking down, and Im so stressed I'll lose another great person like you. A-and your a ghost!" I sobbed as I ran to my bed.
"Dont be sad, nothing is your fault, dont ever feel like its your fault, because its not. Nothing is your fault." Norton whispered. "I wanna see your gorgeous smile, I dont wanna see you cry, Andrew."
"F-Fine..I'll smile for you..I hate my smile but I'll try..." I said as I gave him a smile I havent done in years. I havent smiled this bright in years...I hate smiling so I immediately went to a frown.
"Damn it., that smile was kinda cute.." Norton was flustered as I got out of my bed and washed my face
"Sure it was." I chuckled as I held Norton close to me. Im holding a ghost close to me, but that dosent matter, what matters is that Im with Norton and that Im safe in his arms.
"Can I tell you something, Andrew..It might be real straightforward since weve known each other for two days...But Ive liked you since we met." Norton worried..
"Oh? I dont know if God will accept those feelings towards me but, want me to pray and ask?" I questioned
"No, no praying or asking" Norton sighed.
"Then I cant accept until I get to know you more, we hardly know each other and you already like me? Your very odd..." I laugh. "I might kill you.." I ran off to get my ghost exterminator gun and point it at Norton. He seemed scared and I tried to shoot, but I threw the gun out the window, landing in the garden.
"Weird ass...Well I understand, you dont get relationships or friendships so I'll let this slide.." Norton huffed. "Sorry that was so straightforward.."
"I should be sorry for nearly killing you.." I sobbed as I turned away from Norton. "Like everyone says, I'm a goddamn monster..."
"Your not a monster, its okay to make mistakes and its okay to fail and its okay to screw up, its gonna be okay, I promise you.." Norton smiled as he hugged me
"Really? Are you just saying that to make me f-feel better?" I sobbed as I hugged Norton tightly, feeling his ghosty appearance is weird, but fun.
"Yeah I mean it, why wouldnt I?" Norton replied. "I'll go make some coffee for you."
"Nah,I'm good. Thank you though." I smiled through my tears as I hopped onto bed as Norton decided to hop in with me.
"I'll leave you be if you feel uncomfortable." Norton said as he left the bed and got in the closet
"Sure, thank you. I"ll let you know when I'm comfortable with you sleeping in the same bed as me."
"Alright, thanks for the clarification, Andrew. I just didnt want to make you uncomfortable!" Norton smiled. "Goodnight!"
"Goodnight, Norton." I smiled

The Court of Souls?
Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur) ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— What do we talk about tonight? ~“How about a story?”~ Fine by me. Which story? Hopefully a good one. ~“There was once a lonely child in a world filled with myths, gods and demons. Only power counted there and the weak were worse than cattle. A world where survival of the fittest ruled.”~ Was it strong then? ~“No, but the child had a power. One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it? ~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~ So he became a hero and changed the world? ~“…”~ Tell me. ~“Nooo, that's not how the story goes. This isn't a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was... kinder than the rest.”~ A kind demon? How boring. ~“I think it would be better if I tell the story, so you can judge for yourself.”~ So tell the story!
