《Paranormal Hope》Chapter 1

(Bailee's P.O.V.)

I have been at this orphanage for 12 years. My best friend, Lia has been here for 5. My mom was killed in a

car accident when I was six, and my dad couldn't take care of me after she was gone. He had no family to help him out, so he brought me here. He left me with nothing but her golden locket and, "Im sorry. You just remind me too much of her. I love you." The 'her' is my mom. He was never able to say her name after she passed. That's my story. Some may call it sad but I just see it as something that has happened and it has made me a stronger person.

(Lia's P.O.V.)

The first person I met at the orphanage was Bailee. She was the only one who really understood me, and five years later, she still is. I never met my dad, since he and my mom never married and he left her before I was born. When I was four, my mom made some pretty poor decisions. She got drunk a lot, and finally three years later she got caught driving under the influence in a stolen car. She's in prison now. But it's okay, she kept me alive for those three years. She's still there, and I don't think I'll see her again. But my life is better now.

Bailee and I are thirteen and are still at Madame Priscilla's orphanage for girls. We both love the chicken strips and fries for dinner, have the same favorite kind of cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. We also have the same all-time favorite t.v. show. Ghost Adventures. Madame Priscilla tells us all the time how alike we are, and how crazy we are for enjoying that paranormal show. It's the same answer everytime, "We know!"

"Wouldn't it be cool if we could go on lockdown one time? " Bailee asks me as she bounces up and down in her seat on the couch. I grin and nod, "That would be awesome! Remember that little ghost town a few blocks away? What if they went there?" We laugh knowing it would be impossible. We calm down and stare at each other for a few seconds in silence. Of course I start laughing again, and my friend joins me. "We should go there," she suggests.

"Go where?"

"The ghost town. It would be fun to go one time." I shake my head and we head to the computer, to see the places we'd want to visit in the old town. On Google, I find something incredible. Bailee, reading over my shoulder, shrieks in my ear, "No way! What are the odds? Zak, Nick, and Aaron are going to that old hotel in that town!" "Yeah, I can read, Bailee. That's amazing! Maybe after the lockdown we can meet them," I suggest, pondering the thought. "After the lockdown? No way! Let's go during!" She shrieks. "And how do you expect us to pull that off?" I question.

"First, we tell Madame Priscilla we are going to sleepover at a friend from school's house. Then, we sneek into the hotel through an open window. And bam! We're in lockdown, baby! " I snicker, "you're so weird. And stupid. But why not? What day are they coming?" I keep reading the website, Wednesday. That was tomorrow night.
