《Yeji Imagines (gxg)》never forget that I love you (requested)

"So, what is it that you wanted to talk to us about?" Yeji asked with a bright smile on her face as you both sat down in front of JYP.
It's been an exciting few weeks for your sweet girlfriend.
She finally got the amazing news that she had landed a big break.
After training so hard for so long, she was finally getting the amazing opportunity to debut in a lovely girl group, the other members already becoming four of her best friends.
You're over the moon with happiness for her and the girls, whom you've had the chance to get to know and already adore, too.
You've seen her pour out her heart and soul throughout her time as a trainee, as she tries to land her big break so she can live out her dream and her passion and there's nothing more in the world that you want for her more than this.
"We need to talk about something."
Yeji frowned a little. His words just gave her a bad feeling and the look in his eyes only made it worse.
While Yeji had been all smiles when you first sat down at the table in front of the guy, you had been feeling nervous from the start.
Why would he need to invite you to a meeting?
You tried to stay calm and think positive thoughts but it lingered in your brain that something just wasn't right.
"Oh. Okay. What about?" Yeji asked with a nervous chuckle and the next few words that left his lips made your heart sink.
"You two need to break up."
You and Yeji looked at him in shock before looking at each other and then back at him.
"I don't understand. Why would you need us to do that?" You asked.

"Because Yeji is distracted. Yeji, you are about to debut in a group that will be active for several years. You can't have any distractions from this point forward, relationships included."
"But Y/N is not a distraction. She's the love of my life and I don't want to lose her."
"How long have you dreamt about being an idol?" JYP asked.
"A long time," Yeji spoke.
"And how long have you two been together?"
"A year." You answered.
"Then you should know that this is Yeji's dream and she's dreamt about these things that are about to happen to her for as long as she can remember. Longer than you've been together."
He was looking at you as he spoke.
You knew he was trying to protect Yeji. Being part of the company now, this was serious to him. She can't be distracted.
But you also felt as though, with his words, he was trying to guilt you into seeing his point of view. As if he was trying to make you feel bad for possibly distracting her as she prepares to live out her dream, reminding you that it's all she's ever wanted.
"I can be an idol and be in a happy relationship at the same time. It's not a huge deal, I can balance both with no problem! I have been with her for a year. I was with her while being a trainee. I was just as dedicated then as I am now."
"But you have a lot more responsibility now. You have a lot coming up as an idol. You won't have time for each other. You'll eventually find it to be too much to take and you will split up. I'm just trying to keep that from happening. I'm trying to protect my artists. That is my responsibility."

You closed your eyes, trying so hard to fight your tears.
It hurt so badly but you felt that, deep down, he was right.
You knew what had to be done, as much as it hurt.
"I'm not arguing about this. You will break up." He said, looking between the two of you. "Got it?"
You both nodded and he gave you permission to leave, the meeting now over.
You slowly stood up and exited the room, Yeji trailing behind you.
"We can find a way to work around this. There has to be a way." Yeji mumbled as she tried to use that big busy brain of hers to find a way to stay with you while also being an idol too.
"There is no way, Yeji." You quietly spoke and watched as she looked at you with the saddest eyes you've ever seen.
"What? Of course there is. Baby, we will figure something out." She said as she stepped closer to you, taking your hands into hers.
"Yeji, this is your dream. It has been for so long. I can't take that away from you."
"How would you be taking my dreams away from me? By us being together? Happy and in love? That's not going to ruin my career. I'll be fine."
"No, Yeji, he's right." You sniffled, still trying to fight your tears back as you stared at her. "I can't do that to you."
"So you're just giving up on us? You don't even want to try and see how we can find a way around this?" She asked, staring at you in disbelief.
"I'm not giving up, Yeji. I'm letting go so you can live out your dreams. That's what you deserve. It's all I want for you." You said before you kissed her cheek softly. "It'll be fine. I'll still be rooting for you and cheering you on. Just in a different way now."
She started to cry, her lower lip trembling as she realized that she was losing you.
She didn't think that becoming an idol, her biggest dream, meant that she'd lose you - the love of her life.
"Never forget that I love you." You said as you stroked her cheek, wiping away her tears.
"I love you too." She said as she let out a little cry, falling apart.
And as you let go of her hands, you kissed her cheek once more, letting your lips linger for a second as it sank in that this would be the last time you'd get to do that.
You pulled away and stared at her, only able to think about how incredibly beautiful she was and how lucky you'd once been.
But if it meant that she got to live out her dreams, you could learn to let go.
You turned around and walked out of the building, only breaking down after the doors were closed and Yeji wouldn't be able to hear your sobs.
This was the most painful thing you've ever done.
You just hope that she'll be happy.
That's all you want for her.
