《Yeji Imagines (gxg)》she catches you crying but you try to hide it from her (requested)

Yeji frowned as she reached across the bed to pull you closer to her, only to feel the sheets against her fingers.
She sat up in bed and took a look at the clock.
It was after five am and the thought of waking up so early would usually make her groan and curl back up under the covers to go back to sleep until her alarm goes off in just a couple of hours from now.
However, sleeping without you by her side is a lot easier said than done and there's no way she'd be able to simply lay back down and go to sleep when you're nowhere in sight.
She knows you're not in the bathroom.
The light is off and the door is open, which made it obvious that you weren't in there.
Her mind wandered and she grew a little worried, not to mention a little cold without you being in her arms to keep her content and warm.
She got out of bed and padded down the hallway to the staircase. She took a few steps down before she froze, feeling her heart drop when she heard a sniffle come from the living room.
It only made her feet move faster against each step so she could get to you sooner.
The lights were on, the tv off, and you had your head hanging down with your fingers tangled in your hair as tears fell down your cheeks.
She wondered if you had some kind of bad dream or if you were lacking sleep and felt overwhelmed because of it.
She tried to not let her mind wander any further than that, hoping the reasons why weren't any worse such as you feeling sick or getting some kind of bad news at this hour.
"Y/N?" She said as she stepped closer to you.

You lifted your head before using your shirt sleeve to dry your tears.
She noticed the shirt you had on was one of her favorite long-sleeved tops. You love it too, always wearing it when you need some comfort and warmth.
So that realization only made her worry more.
"Yeji," you sniffled. "Why are you awake?"
"Don't worry about that." She said as she sat down next to you. "Why are you crying?"
"I'm not." You lied and bit your lip as it began to tremble, which Yeji noticed.
"Y/N, I heard you and saw you crying. I can see tears in your eyes right now and your lip is wobbling like you're going to cry. Don't hide it from me. It's okay to cry."
You tried not to fall apart, but she started to rub your shoulder comfortingly and stared at you with the softest eyes, and soon, the tears were falling again.
"I'm having a hard night."
"Why, baby?"
"Not feeling good." You said and she bit her lip before moving her hand to your forehead. 'No, not physically, Yeji. Mentally." You explained.
She let out a soft sigh and pulled you into her arms to give you a hug.
"I'm just feeling anxious for some reason. I can't figure out why. But I just can't sleep. I just feel overwhelmed and it's getting the best of me, I guess."
"That's okay." She spoke softly and sent you a sweet smile, even though she was feeling sorta sad over knowing you were struggling a little. "It happens. Everything will be okay, my love."
You shrugged wordlessly and she sighed once more before pulling you in for another hug.
"I've got you." She said and rubbed your back. "You can lean on me and let all of your tears fall if you need to. I'll hold you tight and keep you safe. I promise."

You sniffled before more tears fell from your eyes.
"Are you sure there's nothing wrong? You know you can tell me anything, no matter what it is that's bothering you. I'm not here to judge you, I'm here to love you and comfort you through it."
You shook your head.
"I promise, Yeji. It's nothing in particular. I'm just not feeling well."
"That's okay." She said, her fingernails gently brushing along your back. "But if that changes, you can tell me."
"Okay." You said before lifting your head to look at her. "You should go back to sleep. You have to be up in a couple of hours."
She wiped away your tears and shook her head at you.
"I'm not going anywhere today and neither are you. We're taking a day off and I'm going to hold you the entire time."
"Really?"
"Yeah." She smiled. "I'll just play sick, the girls will cover for me."
You chuckled tearfully before putting your head back on her shoulder, another tear falling from your eyes.
"How'd I get so lucky?" You mumbled. "I don't know what I did to deserve you. You're always here for me and I appreciate that."
"It's what I'm here for, darling; to love you and be by your side when you need someone to hold you and comfort you and remind you that everything is going to be okay. Because it will. I promise."
You let out a shaky breath, holding onto her a little tighter.
"I love you."
"I love you more." She said. "Now, I'm going to go upstairs and grab a blanket for us to share and then I'll get us something to drink, maybe a little food, and I'll come back. We'll cuddle on the sofa and turn on some good movies and spend the day together."
"Okay." You smiled and she gave you a quick kiss before going upstairs, looking forward to having a day in with you, especially when you need her most.

The book of forever
An experimental diary of sorts recounting my life and experiences, written as a slightly whimsical scifi story about setting off from the past to unknown lands, rebuilding from nothing and finding myself again. The first section of the book contains matched chapters, a chapter for a interlude, both happening at the same time roughly The second section of the book contains more one off stories as we follow one of the travelers explore their heart as well as a unknown land, growing in the process. All of the text here was written in 10 syllable chunks, this reads like a epic of sorts, just with more philosophical focus and POV jumps. Hope you enjoy! >Updates may be sporadic as I only write when I have something about myself I want to share The chapters can all be read individually, although there may be some crossovers between them they work as single poems. You start at whatever chapter you want since these are a collection of roughly connected poems (although you'll notice tie ins and references to eachother)
