《Yeji Imagines (gxg)》medicine (requested)

"Hey, cutie," Yeji smiled as you opened your tired eyes to meet hers.
Her soft touch had awoken you but that hadn't been her intention. She was only feeling your forehead to check your fever.
"How are you feeling?" She asked as she stared at you with a worried look in her eyes.
"Awful." You sniffled before coughing into your elbow.
You shivered and pulled the blankets up to your shoulders, trying to warm up with them.
"I'm going back to sleep." You mumbled.
"Not yet, my love." She said as she stroked your cheek and tried to get you to keep your eyes open. "Guess what time it is? Just a couple of minutes shy from being time for your medicine."
You groaned before coughing into the sleeve of your sweater and trying to pull the blankets over your head with the remaining energy that you had.
"Don't, baby." She giggled. "It's not that bad. I think you're being a little dramatic." She teased, booping your nose playfully.
"It's terrible, Yeji."
You heard her opening the bottle and twisting off the cap. She pulled the covers away from your head and you saw the cup full of the liquid medicine on the nightstand.
She tried to put it to your lips but you turned your head and refused.
"Take it, baby. Please?"
"I just want to go back to sleep." You whined.
"You can once you take your medicine," she chuckled and brushed her fingers through your hair.
You were still refusing, moving your head around to keep the cup of medicine from your lips.
"Fine, don't take it. I'll go sleep in the first room."
"What?" You frowned.
"You need your medicine and you won't take it. No medicine, no cuddles. Sorry, darling. I don't make the rules." She shrugged.

"No! Yeji, I need cuddles. They make me feel warmer and better."
"And I love cuddling you. So I need you to take your medicine, okay?"
You didn't want to... but for her, you did.
You let her pour it onto your town before you swallowed it down, cringing over the slight taste you got as it lingered on your tongue.
"You owe me cuddles now."
"That I do," she laughed and went to wash her hands real fast before she returned to your side and curled up next to you.
She let you lay your head on her shoulder and she kept her arms around you, keeping you warm.
"I love you."
"I love you too." She said as she kissed your head. "Get some sleep. I'll wake you up in a few hours when it's time to take more medicine."
You groaned as you started to fall asleep, making Yeji giggle as she rubbed your back and watched you sleep, hoping you'd feel better soon.

The Five Series - redemption
Book 1 - Redemption Three generations have passed since the last near-apocalyptic war. Civilization is beginning to thrive again at an ever increasing pace. The burden of society has been once again placed on the back of a massive robotic workforce, creating a huge divide between industrial glory, and those forced to live in its shadow. Many have stubbornly held onto the old ways of self-governance from back when the government fell, but with its return, life in Welan City is changing. Aaron, a middle-aged man, who is stuck in the rut of daily life, witnesses a murder and finds himself in trouble, love, and the middle of a highly secretive robotics project. Aaron stakes his life on helping a prototype survive, and pays for it dearly. Passionate hate, love, and indifference send life in Welan City spiraling out of control, leaving no one innocent in the end. The Five Series is, well, a series. I've completed 3 of the books so far and will finish with a fourth, maybe fifth book. Book 1 is heavy on the character development side while the following will be much more decision and consequence oriented. This story reaches into the soul of a person and the universe we live in. Some people deserve a second chance, and some do not. With that im mind, no one really ever gets what they deserve though, do they? Always tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can, they could be gone tomorrow. Would that change if you could always bring them back? I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did writing it. Cody

The time counts down as Cain fights against the remains of a fallen world in order to complete a mysterious mission. Where did all the people go? What is Cain's goal? Find out in "A City of One." Author recommendation: This story is best read slowly with sad music playing in your ears. (The Interstellar soundtrack and the song Undaunted, by Audio Machine, are some excellent tone-setters for this tale.)
